most mages are only capable of performing basic and easy spells like summoning light and mainly rely on potions. only exceptional mages can use complicated ones like elemental attacks

a small minority of mages actually have a Unique Magic since they’re usually so powerful

magical creatures like Grim are rare and sought after as pets

Silver’s narcolepsy is so… interesting to me

everyone always talks about it like it’s a silly joke. like “ha ha sleepy boy!!!” which is. fine. but from what we see in the game, it’s undoubtedly a serious physical disability. it literally causes him to fall asleep randomly throughout the day and there’s no way he can fight it. that’s genuinely scary and a cause for concern. what if he fell asleep next to a lake and drowned or something??

i can’t help but think about how much it must affect him mentally. imagine you’re the only human in a fae family, and your whole life you believed that you would be the first to die, and you need to make the most out of the short time you have to repay your loved ones for raising you.

and the universe decides to give you a sleep disorder that completely hindrances your ability to do so. you doze off CONSTANTLY, wasting hours upon hours of precious time that you could’ve used for something more useful.

you can’t control it. once you feel that drowsiness, it’s over. nothing helps; you just can’t stay awake regardless of what you try. no one knows what’s wrong with you so you just assume that it’s your own fault for being so lazy. your father’s done everything he can, bless his kind heart, but even he can’t find a solution.

nobody understands what you’re going through, they all say it’s normal to feel bored or tired from schoolwork every now and then. which isn’t how you feel at all, but you just don’t have the words to describe it.

it gets to the point where you’re failing your classes because your body simply refuses to function the way it’s supposed to. your teachers blame you and they’re right, it’s your fault it’s all your fault isn’t it?

your peers make fun of or look down on you for being unusual. for always falling asleep. for not expressing emotion (doesn’t anyone else find it hard?). you feel ashamed. you try to fix it but you can’t. nothing can ever be fixed.

it’s frustrating to be unable to control your own body. you’ve grown used to it, and so has everybody else, although that doesn’t make it any less of a problem. but at this point it feels like there’s no other choice but to just live with it.

and in the end, you feel guilty. your father has given you everything, and yet you can’t give back. does that not make you a failure? a disappointment of a son? here you are, living, breathing, thinking, and you can’t even do anything to thank the person who gave you the luxury of existence.

wouldn’t you hate sleep? wouldn’t you utterly despise that feeling of drowsiness that overtakes your mind when you so much as stay still for a single minute? would you not cherish the moments in which lethargy did not plague you?

oh, how you wish there was a cure.

so……. hey guys…… whats up……..

first of all, i’m so, SO sorry for not posting any actual content for months. i promise i didn’t forget about the requests, i just… a short time after i made this, i had a MAJOR mental health decline and had to take a while to recover.

after that, i lost all motivation to write x readers and started working on other stuff i was more passionate about.

i love this blog, and i love everyone who liked and/or reblogged my posts. you are all amazing and wonderful, and i’m grateful you enjoy the dumb little posts i made.

it’s been a long hiatus, way longer than i expected it to be, but i think it’s over by now. i’ll try to write more, and hopefully grow this blog into something beautiful.

Silver and Sebek have a very complicated relationship that goes deeper than just your generic tsundere “it’s not like I care about you” trope and has a lot of potential to be an interesting dynamic where they’re not exactly friends but can’t bring themselves to outright hate each other ✅

“Sebek?”

Silver nervously tapped his fingers on the table as he called his friend over. The green-haired boy huffed in annoyance but begrudgingly came over to see what he wanted.

“What is it?” Sebek asked, then added, “Make it quick. I don’t have all day.”

“Do you ever, um…” Silver rarely muttered or had trouble forming sentences. Sebek felt his impatience ebb away as he realized whatever his friend had to say, it must be important.

“Spit it out. And speak louder!” He demanded. Silver winced but continued on.

“Do you ever feel like you’re… like the way other people refer to you is wrong?” He hesitantly asked. Sebek’s words died in his throat at the strange question.

“What do you mean?” He finally asked in confusion.

“I mean… do you ever just feel like something you weren’t born as?” Silver stumbled over his words as he struggled to find the right phrase. “And the way people refer to you isn’t technically wrong even though it feels that way, and you want them to use other words instead, but you can’t tell them that because they’ll find you weird?”

Sebek went silent. He almost subconsciously reached up to touch his round ears that weren’t pointed like a proper fae’s. He thought about all those times he’d been called human when he wasn’t… well, he was, but only half!

He remembered how much it’d frustrated him how no one would see him as a fae because of his human father.

“I’m sorry.” Silver spoke suddenly, interrupting his thoughts. Judging from the embarassed shame on his face, he seemed to have misinterpreted Sebek’s silent for anger. “I know you must think I’m insane. Just… forget all this.”

For a moment, Sebek considered telling him. But he shook off the idea as soon as it formed. No way he would ever reveal his feelings to Silver, of all people. “Hmph. What a waste of my time.” He said instead. “As expected from a puny human like you.”

But as he walked away, he couldn’t help but wonder if Silver felt the same way as him. Born in the wrong body.
