Mika's powers are a complicated matter, because I was figuring it out as I went through the seasons, so...

In the beginning, Mika had power over water. That was before it was revealed that Nya has elemental power of water. Then I made them be like Lloyd, in terms that... he could control multiple elements. That was water, wind and fire. But I dropped that later on, and just stuck to water, before making a reveal that their powers weren't really theirs, just 'borrowed', and they disappeared around season 11. Then they tried dark magic and... well, cursed themself, and are stuck in the half oni form. But that comes with advantage later on, as he develops destruction powers, contrasting the powers of creation Lloyd had for a while.

I guess they're equal to Lloyd, not counting weird interdimensional powers that aren't relevant untill later on. The rules are that, Mika has to be on a pretty equal Level with the ninja when they're in Ninjago. Definitely not more powerful than Wu and Garmadon, unless he really wants to be...

But... If Mika doesn't like how a fight goes, they change some things, bend the rules... Mika is holding themself back, because they want to fit in with the ninja. After all, how fun is the story if the heroes don't struggle?

So to summarize:

OC outfits [2-3/3]

Did I say that the next sheet would take me two weeks? Scratch that, make it four months hgjfhrshgguhsf

This page has most of the outfits from the second phase of my story (all the purple ones).

She basically cursed herself accidentally in this one Xddd After season eight she lost her powers, and was trying her hand at magic, and woops, turns out she was half oni, and she’s permanently stuck between human and oni forms. This also explains how her hair changes so much, because oni can shape-shift in Ninjago lore.

The mysterious ‘???’ outfit doesn’t belong to any season. It’s her villain outfit. She basically argues with Lloyd more and more throughout the years, and she finally snaps. Mika’s and Lloyd’s relationship basically mirrors Wu’s and Garmadon's. While Lloyd is associated with creation, she is associated with destruction.

But she comes back in Dragons Rising. She changes her identity, and she’s basically unrecognisable by public (they can hide the horns and tail, the curse was lifted, but they can still lose the control of their form sometimes). Since then, they also change to use he/him pronouns. Yeah, partially to hide their identity, partially because he’s unsure who she/he is any more. They’re trying to find themselves again, and things only go better for them from then on 😊

I also drew Mika’s casual outfits. The first one in line is basically Lloyd’s old clothes and Zane’s pink gi. Basically: ‘we found a child alone on a dangerous island, and we had to give then some other clothes’ outfit Xdd

OC outfits [1/3]

First page of outfits for Mika is done. The next one will take me about… two more weeks to make.

This page has most of the first phases outfits from my story in it. That phase was far the longest, but the least eventful one…

Anyway, here are her outfits for each season. The first few had the biggest redesign from when they were first made. I was 10 when this OC was made, so I wasn't very creative, and they were just recolours of original ninja outfits. But around season 8 my designs improved, so nothing changed in the designs from then on. One thing that didn't change is hair. For some reason, I was always good at making hair designs.

Mika is HEAVILY inspired by me, what colours and styles I like. So her hair colour is exactly like mine (And yes, I had my hair dyed into red ombre twice, so OC had to have red hair too. But probably not at the exact same ages listed here) That makes me remember how at 11 I REALLY wanted to have half of my hair shaved like in the OC design lol

There is an in story reason why Mika's hair changes so much so quickly, and why it goes from super short to long, but I'll explain it under the next sheet. It becomes relevant to the next designs.

Mika doesn't have a very ''ninja-like'' outfit for season 12, because they mostly sat in the sidelines. But again, it will be explained later on.

The colour purple that starts appearing in the designs also has some significance. Because from season 6 her powers become... well, different in some way. But they really take a turn only after 5 seasons later.

So yeah, the designs really reflect how Mika was at each stage, and it reflects changes that happen.

I guess, this OC kinda grew up with me. Each year another new design.

Time for storytelling

I would like to introduce the story that will be shown on this blog. I worked on this story for 10 years now, but there never was, and probably never will be, a good time to start writing about that story . I had many plans: comics, animation, fanfiction. But… None of them worked out.

So here I am, making this blog, to just… Say whatever about this story. I came to terms with the fact that it will never be a ''complete'' work of art, but hey, at least it will be told. I owe it to 10 y/o me.

So this story is basically a Ninjago fanfiction. And for every season of the show, I wrote my version of the story. It's not really that much different from the canon, most differences come from the interaction my oc had with other characters. It's not anything groundbreaking or phenomenal, probably a bit unoriginal… But hey, a 10-year-old started writing this, soo…. Xdd

I might as well tell you something about the story: It begins with a 10 y/o girl waking up on an island (island of darkness to be precise), and bumping into the ninja. When questioned where are her parents, she simply says that they're not here. When asked to elaborate, she says they're not in this world. The ninja think in horror that her parents are dead, but in reality, she's just literally not from this world, and here parents are very much alive. When she's brought to the ninjas camp, it turns out she has some kind of elemental power, and ends up being adopted as Lloyd's sister...

She's really self-insert-y, and she even has the same name as me: Maya (my given name), and then later on Sky (my chosen name). I tried renaming her, but it just didn't feel right, so her name stays. However, for the simplicity, when referred to outside the story, she will be called Mika, so she won't be confused with me.

I think that's all I want to say about this story for now. I hope what I said is at least a little bit interesting. Hope that some of you get hooked in, but I know that this won't be for everyone. Thank you for reading!
