2026 Core Frankie prediction sketch!

Further expanded on Frankie's rocker aesthetic they've been gaining over the course of G3. Main inspo is obvs Amped Up, but honorable mentions also go to Monster Fest, Scary Sweet Birthday and Welcome Committee Frankie. I still wanted to mantain that hint of formalwear/schoolwear (white button-up, necktie, black pants, black boots) but a lot more punk and edgy.

Kept the neon pink/green/blue color palette. 'Since '22 had pink lipstick and '24 had blue one, I made the one on my prediction neon green for the lower lip at least. Felt it needed a little more contrast so I made the upper lip metallic silver.

Similarly, since '22 has blue as the prominent color in their hair, and '24 had the pink, I gave them neon green for their shaved sides. The shaved sides itself are a reference both to the show, as well as their Ghoul Spirit, SS3 Neon Frights, and Scary Sweet Birthday dolls, in which we've seen it in both pink and blue, so making it green kinda helps keep things fresh.

The braids on the sides of their hair are both a reference to Welcome Committee, as well as the live action movies Frankie played by Ceci Balagot.

They have pink/green/blue eyeliner. Pink on their upper lids, and mismatched on their lower lids, corresponding to the iris of the opposite side. All surrounded by a smokey black eyeshadow.

I gave them piercings on their other eyebrow as well :D

They have bolt-shaped hairclips that clip onto their braids on either side, making it seem like they have bolts on their head like some interpretations of Frankenstein's monster, as well as G2's Alivia Stein.

The connections on Frankie's belt and the harness-thingy going down their right leg would probably be done in multiple pieces that clip together similar to Hissfits 3-Pack Toralei. The long strips at the seams of the pant leg might be just glued to the fabric though.

The neon-colored details on both their bracelet and acting as their boots' laces are meant to look like wires.

2026 Core Draculaura prediction sketch!

Like with Clawdeen, my main goal was to keep the design elements that make g3 Draculaura recognizable, while elevating her to the level g3 is currently at, with dolls like Jinafire, Cupid, Nefera and Skelita. I also just wanted to push her goth-y, witch-y vibes a bit further.

The basic construction of her outfit is mostly the same as her previous 2 looks, being a pink piece over a sheer/mesh(?) underlayer, though in this case I made it white and it has a rose pattern throughout it, I imagine it looking somewhat like the skirt on SSB Cupid or the assymetrical overskirt and sleeve on SSB Frankie.

The pink on her dress is a bit muted to sorta ground her color palette more. similarly I made her hair warmer and closer to red, and in general tried to diversify her very monochrome color palette by adding hints of red and purple. Still it was very important to me to keep her overall colors recognizable at first glance and fairly similar to '22 and '24 Drac.

While paying homage to the iconic G1 Draculaura black-and-pink streaked hair and the pigtails, I still wanted to keep this grounded in G3, so the streaks are all on the back of her head and the whole hairstyle is more of a half-up half-down situation - think like the ponytail(s) in '22 core Frankie.

The half-and-half section of her hair is also now kinda... I guess checkered now? since the sections that frame her face are the color of the opposite half. And I chopped her bangs further because I actually really like when you can see more of her eyebrows, and really short bangs are in trend anyways. I think it makes her look a tad more alt too yknow?

In general a lot of details were inspired by Draculaura's Scary Sweet Birthday doll, as well as everyone else from that line, it felt fitting since it's basically entirely dedicated to her.

The addition of red is also reminiscent of her SS5 Garden Mysteries, BS1 Scaremester Style, Eekend Getaway and the upcoming SS8 Oasis Retreat Dracs.

Purple is also a color G3 Drac has previously worn before, mainly the Creepover Party 2-pack and Monsterfest Food Truck. And yes, another reference to G1 core Drac.

2026 Core Clawdeen prediction sketch!

Very rambly notes down below ^^

* Curly hair similar to other recent dolls like SS6 Hauntlywood Mysteries and BS1 Cozy Creepover.

* I gave her a pretty similar hair blend to her '24 Core, Eekend Getaway, and BS2 Scaremester Style (dark brown with streaks of warm-toned purple) but I could also see her being mainly cool-toned purple like a lot of her recent dolls, Monster Fest, BS1 Cozy Creepover and BS3 Haunted Dance Recital.

* Her makeup is harsher than her '22 core but more colorful than' 24. It has similar colors to Eekend Getaway, BS2 Scaremester Style, and her G1 counterpart.

* I tried to keep elements that would keep her looking kinda nerdy and sporty and even a bit tacky in a hopefully good way. Still fashionable but not full glam, because that isn't really who G3 Clawdeen is. A lot of her early dolls have this vintage/thrifted vibe to them and while I didn't have any decade specifically on mind when drawing her I think some elements can be seen as kinda 80s or kinda 00s.

* She has gold accesories like most of her dolls (don't really mind them I just kinda drew whatever so they're not detailed. All I know is I think it'd be cool if she had a dog tag necklace, and I gave her a crescent-moon-ish glasses shape more similar to SS6 Hauntlywood Mysteries and BS2 Scaremester Style.)

* The lime green accents on her are a reference to a lot of her G1 dolls, as well as Scare-adise Island and Eekend Getaway.

* The "I RULE" on her turtleneck is a reference to her temporary status as Wereruler.

* Her sweatpants would be a similar material to Core Deuce but they have the same colors as Clawd's Letterman jacket to both tie them together and reference G1's gym and fearleading uniforms.

* Since her previous core dolls both have a lilac denim piece with cheetah pattern (22's overalls and 24's pants), I followed the trend with an oversized denim jacket.

* Since all of her Core dolls have fur elements (22's jacket and 24's sleeves) I gave her fuzzy legwarmers.

Also sorry but no Twyla, Heath, Hissfits Twins or Cupid to be found here. You see they've committed the awful sin of not being core releases, and therefore do not have such privileges as a monster species. Their species as far as we know are sleepy, beach, concert and birthday /j

Yknow something I lived about the monster high g3 nick show is how they'd bring in random returning characters from the previous gens that weren't necessarily popular or meant to be dolls. Romulus, Finnegan, Iris and Mouscedes come to mind. I kind of fear that if we get a new show by the people who make the music vids, we won't get more of those, but rather only the ghouls we are actively getting new dolls of.

Some of the characters I wanted to see return the *most* are actually those more niche choices that I think have potential to be expanded upon. Neighthan, Moanica, Garrot, Silvi, Bonita, Posea, Raythe, Gilda, Gory, Quill, Alivia, Johnny.

I love the more popular choices like Rochelle and Robecca and Operetta and whatnot but. Cmon MH you have this huge cast of characters that could be integrated in new and fun ways.

That's why I'm glad about the rumors River is coming back, it feels very similar to what they did with Mouscedes, take someone who was introduced in G1 as part of a group or a gimmick that tied them together (Haunted, Boo York) and reintroduce them individually to give them their own spot to shine.

Same with Venus being introduced on her own before the rest of the Ghoulfriends Trio and Jinafire being introduced separately from Skelita

Been on a bit of a G3 kick for the past few days, so here's some headcanons to go with it.

This is me projecting onto her a little, but Draculaura had a bit of a train phase throughout her fourteen and fifteen hundreds. She knew basically nothing about humans, but it was interesting to see how they got around without powers or witchcraft.

Lagoona floats up to the top of her tank when she sleeps. If it wasn't for how much she thrashes around from her dreams, you'd think she was dead.

Barkimedes and Cleo, with a little help from Clawdeen and Buddy, have been holding classes to more accurately teach monsters about humankind. Despite a few inaccuracies (Clawdeen had to debunk the idea that humans can transform if you splash them with cold water), it's been a big hit!

As a boogeymonster, Twyla's eyes are exceptionally sensitive to sunlight (Regular sunglasses do absolutely nothing for her), so you'll rarely see her out and about during the day. Draculaura has been trying to make some magic contacts to absorb sunlight for her.

Speaking of magic, Draculaura has also been working on creating necklaces that can temporarily disguise monsters as humans. Barkimedes had been talking about having a fieldtrip to the human world, but outside of Halloween, all of those monsters would stick out, wouldn't they?

Watzie has a habit of bringing Frankie body parts, though they have no clue where he's getting them or why. Given that they're all copper and brass plated, they're clearly all from the same person, but strangely, nobody has come forward asking for their missing parts.
