Pairing: Yunjin x Fem!Reader
Idol: Huh Yunjin (Le Sserafim)
Warning(s): None!
After a long day, you were beyond joyful to retreat back to the comfort of your shared bed with Yunjin. You both were pretty exhausted after practice and couldn’t wait to under the covers. Your bed was your favorite hello and the hardest goodbye.
The other girls were undergoing their night routine by the time you both made it to your room. Well, it was Yunjin’s room but you preferred staying in hers more than half the time so you claimed it as your own, occasionally abandoning your own.
You landed on the bed with your face on the pillow and your girlfriend followed, causing you both to giggle when you turned your heads to face one another. “I am so tired.” Yunjin mumbled, to which you could only hum in response to show her you understood her exhaustion.
“We have to change.” You mentioned after you fell into a short silence, the result of you both nearly drifting off. Your words earned a groan from her as she shoved her face further into her pillow and put her arms under it as a way to hold it. “And we have to remove our makeup..” You added, receiving another groan in response, but this time more dramatic. You couldn’t help but chuckle at her reaction and it took all the strength and willpower in you to sit up.
You patted her butt playfully after you noticed she wasn’t bothering to move. “Come on, Jen.” You whined, wanting to get this over with so you both could get back in the bed and actually under the covers. She lifted her head up and looked over at you, squinting. “The quicker we do this, the quicker we’ll be able to fall asleep in each other’s embrace.” You persuaded, to which she immediately flipped over on her back and sat up. A laugh erupted from you and she smiled at the sound.
You both stood up and made your way to the bathroom to take off your makeup. You got there first and the sight of your girlfriend made you grin as you grabbed a makeup wipe. She was watching you through the mirror and you felt her gaze on you, causing you to nudge her with a chuckle.
“Yah, quit staring and remove your makeup so we can go to sleep.” You jokingly scolded before handing her a wipe. “Not my fault you’re so pretty.” She muttered as she took the wipe and started to wipe her face. You side eyed her and she caught it when her attention shifted to you through the mirror, resulting in her releasing her infectious laugh.
As soon as you finished removing your makeup, you brushed your teeth rather quickly. You went to spit and you turned your head to side, locking eyes with your girlfriend. She grimaced at the sight and you couldn’t help but giggle. You wiped your mouth and leaned back up just to see her starting to brush her teeth.
“I’m gonna take a quick shower.” You notified her as you turned on the water, earning a nod in response. You waited a little before putting your hand in the water to check the temperature. Once it was warm enough for you, you began undressing. You felt eyes on you and turned your head, being met with your girlfriend drooling. It was from her spitting out toothpaste, but also to add effect to how she felt about the sight she saw through the mirror.
“You are something else.” You shake your head in amusement as you watched her smile before wiping her mouth. “We can save more water if I join you.” She suggested as a knowing look made its way onto her face. You hopped in the shower and laughed at her words.
“No funny business, Jennifer.” You tell her as you turn away from her to enjoy the warm water. “Yeah yeah..” She waved you off dismissively before taking off her clothes and joining you.
You both helped wash each other and stole kisses every now and then, but it was mainly Yunjin’s doing. You stepped out before her and wrapped a towel around you, waiting for her. She came out shortly after and you handed another towel to her.
Exiting the bathroom and making your way to the closet, you looked for some pajama pants and one of her hoodies. She watched you from the doorway with a smile on her face. Once you were dressed, she then made her way into the closet to put on clothes. You hopped on the bed and got underneath the covers, relishing in the warm and coziness it provided. Not as comforting as Yunjin’s embrace, but that would be solved eventually.
She retreated from the closet and jumped on the bed, landing in a starfish position. One of her arms landed on your waist, causing you to let out a groan at the impact. She rolled over onto her back and looked over at you. “Are you ready to go to sleep, my love?” She asked, to which you rolled on your side to face her and nodded tiredly.
She scooted up to lift the covers from underneath her and cover herself before getting comfortable. You watched her every move up until she leveled with you and turned off the light radiating from the bedside lamp.
“Goodnight, sweetheart.”
You hummed in response as you prepared to turn over and face the other way, earning a light hit on the shoulder. “Say it back..” She mumbled, to which you scooted impossibly closer to her and kissed her cheek before whispering in her ear,
“Goodnight, my love.”
It didn’t take long for you both to fall asleep, especially you since you were out like a light by the time Yunjin could ask for some cuddles. She would always get them anyways, whether you were asleep or not.
The moonlight painted a soft glow on the room, as the two of you laid peacefully in shared dreams, intertwined in a comfortable silence. The rhythmic melody of your synchronized breathing echoed through the stillness. Time slipped away, marked only by the occasional shifting of covers and the gentle murmur of night.
As dawn tiptoed into the room, a golden hue began to embrace the space. The first light of morning gently kissed your faces, casting a warm, ethereal glow. A subtle change in the atmosphere stirred you from slumber. In return, your slight movement created a ripple effect, slowly awakening your girlfriend. The room, once cloaked in the quiet of night, now hummed with the promise of a new day.
But the peace that resonated in the room would be swiftly interrupted by knocks at the door. Groaning at the noise, you rolled over on the side and sandwiched your head between your pillow. “Who is it?” Yunjin groggily questioned as she wiped her tired eyes, sitting up slightly. The unknown person didn’t bother to answer before cracking the door open, revealing it to be Chaewon.
“Both of you need to be up and ready in ten minutes.” She stated, but it felt like she was talking to a wall based off of Yunjin’s blank expression and you not bothering to remove the pillow. You could still hear, but you didn’t want her to know that. “We’ll be out shortly..” Yunjin mumbled loud enough for the brunette to hear all the way from the bedroom door, waving her free hand dismissively. Chaewon uttered something under her breath before exiting the room and closing the door behind her.
“Is she gone?” You inquired, your voice sounding muffled from the pillow. Yunjin hummed and draped an arm around your waist, snuggling closer. You returned the pillow to its resting position and sighed out of relief before turning to your girlfriend. She sent you a sleepy smile, which you couldn’t help but smile at. She was too cute, especially in the morning.
You leaned in for a kiss but the moment was interrupted when you both heard Chaewon shout from the other side of the door. “Yah! Both of you hurry up and get ready!” A laughing fit erupted between the two of you, with Yunjin throwing her head back on the pillow.
Not wanting to your leader to burst into the room, she untangled herself from around you and got up. “Yah!” She mimicked Chaewon’s shout as she made her way to the bathroom, to which you couldn’t help but giggle.
“I heard that!”
Yunjin poked her head out and you both looked at each other with shocked expressions before bursting out laughing again. She would definitely get a look from Chaewon when you both stepped out.

now playing - december by ariana grande
Pairing: Chaewon x Fem!Reader
Idol: Kim Chaewon (Le Sserafim)
Warning(s): None!
A/N: I know I’m late for a christmas fic, but I still wanted to at least put one out before the new year. However, if you’re already in 2024 then happy new years!! I still hope you enjoy. <3
You both strolled hand in hand through the aisles of your local store, looking for a fun holiday activity to bring home. The shelves were adorned with an array of holiday treats, but your focus fell on the gingerbread house kit you were hoping to find. Your eyes sparkled with excitement as you found the perfect kit, complete with gingerbread walls, colorful candies, and festive icing. Without any hesitation, your hand left your girlfriend’s to grab it.
While Chaewon was partially stunned at how quick you released her hand, she couldn’t prevent the smile that made its way on her face at your eagerness. You didn’t even bother putting it in the cart she brought in case you saw more things you wanted to buy. You just happily held onto it and she followed behind, steadily pushing cart and resisting the urge to bump you with it every now and then.
“Wait!” You abruptly stopped, immediately bringing your girlfriend to a halt and nearly hitting you with the cart. She looked at you with wide eyes, surprised by the sudden stop. “Should we get something for Shiro too?” You innocently asked as you went by her side, causing her to release a sigh of relief and rest her head on her arms, which were resting on the cart. “Jesus, you scared me..” You heard her mumble, to which you put your hand on her back and rubbed it apologetically.
“I don’t think they have anything gingerbread flavored treats..” You spoke more so to yourself, seemingly in thought. Knowing you would go looking in each aisle for some, Chaewon took hold of your hand and pushed the cart for the rest of its journey to check out. While she usually wouldn’t have minded, she didn’t stay out for too long during this time of the year. It was too busy and you both could not bear to deal with any of that. You didn’t question it and just accepted her leading you, no longer thinking about possible holiday treats for your lovely pup.
As you waited in line, you turned to your girlfriend with a suspicious smile. She felt your gaze and returned it, looking at you with furrowed eyebrows. You playfully winked, evoking a chuckle out of her. She looked away, shaking her head out of amusement at your antics. Noticing the interaction, the cashier grinned as they handed over the kit. This time, the brunette took it and bowed politely as the employee wished you both a happy holidays.
Chaewon returned the cart to its original spot as you waited for her at the front. She then made her way over to you with the smile you adored so dearly, to which you couldn’t help but smile brightly at the sight of hers. “Ready?” She asked softly as she held out her hand for you to hold, which you happily accepted with a nod, interlocking your fingers.
As soon as you made it outside, you were instantly welcomed by a cold gust of wind. Instinctively, Chaewon squeezed your hand and held onto the gingerbread kit tighter. While her hand provided a comforting warmth to you amidst the chill, she knew it wasn’t enough so she slipped your paired hands inside of her coat. You smiled at the gesture, moving impossibly closer.
The pavement beneath your feet crunched with each step, the winter frost leaving a delicate shimmer. As you approached the car, the streetlights casted long, soft shadows on the ground, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
“Can you please hold this while I get the keys?” Her voice carried through the cold air, a soft request that hung like a winter breeze. She extended the gingerbread kit toward you, its festive packaging catching the glow of nearby streetlights. You nodded as you graciously accepted the offering. The weight of the kit felt comforting in your hands, a promise of artistic delight and shared moments. You nodded in response, watching as she fumbled for the keys with a smile. The delicate crinkle of the kit echoed the excitement building within you, a prelude to the cozy evening awaiting as you embarked on this festive adventure together.
A triumphant smile graced Chaewon's face as she successfully retrieved the keys, a glimmer of accomplishment in her eyes. The soft jingle of keys met the satisfying click of the car unlocking, and she swung the car door open with a flourish. Gesturing graciously, she invited you to the warmth of the vehicle, her expression radiating both satisfaction and a touch of playfulness. The interior embraced you with its coziness, a perfect transition from the chilly night outside. She closed the door once you were seated and hurried to her side, wanting nothing more than to feel the warmth within the car.
Once in the car, she turned on the radio for some holiday tunes. The melodies wrapped around you like a familiar embrace, and as you sang along, the car transformed into a festive haven. You couldn't help but glance over at your girlfriend, her voice filling the car with love and joy. The twinkling lights adorning passing storefronts reflected in her eyes, echoing the joyous notes of the season. The winter landscape outside seemed to dance to the rhythm of your laughter, creating a magical atmosphere.
Time flies when you’re having fun so you arrived home in no time. You rushed inside and instead of heading to the kitchen, you headed to the living room, which was surrounded by the glow of twinkling lights. You placed it on the table and kneeled down, eagerly opening the gingerbread house kit. Chaewon sat down right beside you, smiling at your evident joy. You read the instructions aloud, and together you carefully laid out the pieces on the table, excitement building with each step.
As she applied the icing and put up the walls, you were putting the sorting the candies by color. With the first walls in place, she dipped into the colorful assortment of candies, playfully stealing a few for herself along the way, to which you scolded and smacked her hand away.
Chaewon grinned, holding up a gumdrop. "Where should this go, architect of sweet treats?" You chuckled, examining the gingerbread walls. "How about right there, on the rooftop? It can be the sugary jewel crowning our masterpiece." She nodded, placing the gumdrop with precision. "Perfect!”
"Do you think our gingerbread palace needs a candy cane fence to keep out any mischievous snowmen?" The brunette teased as you both worked on the intricate details. Smiling, you decided to play along with her silliness and responded,
"Absolutely! It's essential for gingerbread security. We wouldn't want any frosting bandits sneaking in."
Laughter filled the air as you crafted your sweet abode, the living room transforming into a festive workshop of love and creativity. As the gingerbread house began to take shape, you both couldn't help but marvel at your creation.
The roof adorned with gumdrops and the windows lined with sugary decorations, it was a masterpiece of holiday cheer. You shared a proud glance, your hearts brimming with happiness. With each sprinkle and candy placement, the gingerbread house became a reflection of the joyous moments you shared, turning a simple kit into a cherished memory.
With the gingerbread house complete, you cozied up on the couch with mugs of hot cocoa, admiring your handiwork. The soft glow of the holiday lights created a serene ambiance, casting a warm glow over your faces.
In a quiet moment, Chaewon whispered into your ear, "I can't wait to spend this new year and the many years to come, with you." Turning to her, your faces mere inches apart, a warm affection enveloped you. Glancing at her lips and then back into her eyes, you responded in a matched hushed voice, "I couldn't ask for anything better than that." A subtle smile played on her lips as she looked at yours, both of you savoring the shared promise of countless moments to come in the comfort of your relationship.
Soft moonlight spilled through the window, casting a gentle glow on the tender moment. Her lips met yours, sealing the spoken promise with a sweet kiss. As she closed her eyes, you felt a flutter in your chest, and your own eyes succumbed to the warmth of the moment. Time seemed to pause, allowing the shared exchange of affection to create a memory that lingered, both in the air and in your hearts. The gentle embrace of the kiss spoke volumes, a silent celebration of the love that had grown between you.
A/N: Well, when I originally scheduled this post to upload it was for the 30th. I forgot about this, so it is now the new year for me. Regardless, I had to put this out! I should probably make it a new year’s resolution to be more consistent… sorry!

Lovesick Fools
Kazuha x F!Reader
Genre: Fluff, Highschool AU
Warnings: hints of poor home life, overworking, implied family issues, smol commitment issues
Word Count: 2.7k
Buy Me A Coffee :)
dedicated to my lovely muse @siyooungi <3 enjoy your dessert
Your mind buzzed with thoughts as you wandered aimlessly through the dreary school halls. You swore all the endless studying was bringing you closer to your grave with each passing day. Your desperate longing for a break guided you up the school stairs. Eyes gleaming with delight as you unlocked the familiar door, your muscles ached in protest trying to push it open, sighing when it finally gave. Collapsing on the nearest couch with a thud, your body sunk into the soft cushions immediately. “What the hell happened to you?” Sakura, the student council secretary, asked teasingly when your head landed atop her lap. Her hands combed through your hair as she studied your appearance, worry written on her features.
“You work too hard Y/n,” Your student council president scolded you, eyes drifting from her assignment to spare you a wary glance. “Someone’s got to pay the bills,” you said playfully, no one catching the serious undertone of your words- well almost no one. Kazuha’s concerned gaze peered at you from from afar. Your legs dangled lazily off the couch as you relished in your childhood best friend’s gentle touch. It sent you into a state of bliss, your heart swelling with content as you allowed yourself to truly relax for the first time in what seemed like forever. “When’s your next shift?” Chaewon asked, the innocent question dragging you back to the harsh reality that was your life. Groaning, you lazily lifted your hand to glance at your watch, forehead creasing in a frown. “One hour,” you mumbled, cursing under your breath.
“How do you work every night and get good grades?” Sakura muttered, baffled by your ability to balance everything. Humming thoughtfully, a smirk crept up to your lips, mischievous glint in your eyes. “A magician never reveals their secrets,” you said cheekily, abruptly jumping to your feet. Saluting jokingly, you swiftly swung the door open, disappearing without another word. Kazuha quickly rose from her own seat where she’d been silently listening, rushing after you as while yelling her goodbyes over her shoulder. Jogging down the steps in a hurry, she bearly caught sight of you disappearing round the corner.
“Y/n!!” Kazuha yelled, halting you in your step. Spinning on your heel, you turned to face the ballet dancer. Smiling brightly, you waited patiently for her to catch up with you, chuckling when she panted breathlessly upon reaching your side. “I’ll walk with you,” she managed to get out between breaths. Nodding happily, you linked your arm with hers, dragging her out of the hellish school. “How’s the dance performance coming along?” You asked curiously, lifting your hand to shield your eyes from the bright sun. Falling into step with you, she mimicked your actions, no longer squinting to see your eyes that gazed at her with sincere intrigue.
“It’s good, I even have a solo part this time,” Kazuha murmured, sheepishly scratching that back of her neck. “Really?” You asked, a proud smile adorning your lips. The dancer hummed in response, laughing when a particularly strong gust of wind blew your hair into her face. Stopping momentarily, you innocently pushed the stray strand of hair behind her ear. Her breath hitched as she gazed into your eyes, she could’ve sworn your hand lingered. Glancing briefly at your lips, her eyes widened in surprise when you inched closer. Her body instinctively followed your movements, lips lingering just short of yours.
Before she could close the gap, you pulled away abruptly, ducking your head shyly. A dark blush coated Kazuha’s cheeks, swallowing her disappointment as she looked to her feet awkwardly. Clearing her throat, Kazuha shook her head in hopes of ridding her mind of your pretty pink lips that invaded her mind on sleepless nights. Walking silently, you busied yourself with admiring the fallen leaves decorating the path before you, uncertain of how to proceed. Both of you grinned bashfully each time your hands brushed against one other, unable to make eye contact.
“When does your shift end?” Kazuha finally broke her silence once she’d successfully recomposed herself, gaze burning holes into the side of your head. Though when you turned to meet her curious gaze, she folded the moment your eyes that danced with kindness met her own. “Eleven tonight?” You tilted your head, unsure of the answer. “Again?” The older girl sighed, no stranger to your habit of overworking yourself. You shrugged your shoulders plainly. “Are you coming over after?” Kazuha asked hopefully, growing accustomed to late night visits.
“Only if it's alright with you. I don’t think I can go home tonight.” You smiled sadly, eyes telling a tale of your sorrows. Kazuha knew better than to ask. You liked that she never did, it was one of the many reasons you found yourself knocking on her door every night and Kazuh awas determined to keep it that way. “No wonder you’ve been so exhausted lately, you’re hardly getting enough rest.” She made a seamless change of topic upon sensing your discomfort. As much as she worried, she was content knowing you would open up to her some day. She could only hope for that much.
“I’m going to be late, I better leave!” You exclaimed suddenly, avoiding her concerned gaze as you wandered off, hands stuffed into your jacket pockets. “I’ll see you tonight!” Kazuha yelled after you, biting back the smile that threatened to break out on her angelic features. You beamed brightly at her, giving her a double thumbs up before disappearing into the distance. The older girl sighed in content, running a flustered hand through her hair. A wide grin finally crept onto her face as she shoved her hands into her own pockets, smiling stupidly all the way home.
~~
It was ten o’clock that night when Kazuha finally heard the awaited knock on her front door. Rushing to the source of the sound with little care for her appearance, she swung the door open eagerly, heart thumping in anticipation- Or maybe it was because she’d been practising for her upcoming performance for the past few hours, though she preferred the former. Nothing could prepare her for the sight of your sweet smile, butterflies swarming to life in her stomach upon opening the door. “You’re early,” she managed to stutter out, swallowing her nerves with a harsh gulp. Her eyes wandered your face appreciatively, admiring the way your exhaustion only seemed to add to your beauty.
Kazuha blinked owlishly upon realising how long the two of you stood silently staring at one another in her doorway. She tilted in curiosity her head when she found you in just as much of a daze as she was. Her eyes followed your gaze to her stomach, eyes blown wide open when she noticed what you were staring at. “Sorry, I was practicing the dance..” She trailed off, self-consciously covering her exposed stomach. You coughed awkwardly, pulling your gaze away from her surprisingly toned abs. “Sorry I didn’t tell you I was coming, boss man let me go early,” you muttered apologetically, glancing anywhere but the girl directly in front of you.
“That’s alright, I’m glad you got here safely.” She expressed her relief, gesturing behind her in a weak attempt to usher you inside. “I hope I didn’t interrupt,” you murmur upon passing the threshold, painfully aware of the way her skin glistened with sweat in the dimly lit living room. “Don’t worry, I was just about to take a shower.” She smiled reassuringly, clicking the door shut behind you. Kazuha wordlessly reached for your hand, leading you up the spiralling stairs to her room with a sudden burst of confidence. You ducked your head bashfully at the contact, cheeks dusted pink.
“Make yourself comfortable,” Kazuha urged with a grin when she arrived at her room. The pastel colours and sweet scents were something you’d grown accustomed to, spending more time in the dancer’s room than you did your own. Your chest never failed to tighten at the sight of the small bed the two of you climbed into each night. You’d never bothered to question why her family home’s numerous guest bedrooms were always left untouched when you visited, not when you slept so soundlessly next to her. Wordlessly curling into her side each night was strangely comforting for reasons you’d never understood, but wouldn’t dare risk losing her warm embrace with stupid questions.
“I’ll be back in a bit,” Kazuha mumbled once you’d plopped down on her bed. She clumsily searched for a change of clothes before disappearing off the bathroom. You chuckled when she stumbled out of the room, a foreign feeling settling in your chest as you glanced around her room. Ignoring the persistent buzz of your phone as you settled comfortably on her bed, boredom threatening to overcome you as you stared up at the ceiling littered with glow in the dark stars. It felt like hours had passed before you finally heard the shower turn off, but perhaps it was just your growing anticipation to be in her calming presence.
“Are you tired?” Kazuha’s gentle inquiry greeted your ears after what felt like an eternity had passed without hearing her angelic voice. “A little,” you admitted, sitting up to find her leaning against the threshold. Her dark wet locks framed her soft features, oversized hoodie almost swallowing her body whole. You shivered under her intense gaze, overwhelmed by how hard your heart thrashed against your ribs at the mere sight of her. “You’re cold,” she observed, eyes narrowing when you shrunk into yourself. Her eyes lit up as she dashed towards her closet, reappearing seconds with a jumper in hand, her jumper.
She silently offered it to you, her sheepish smile rendering you speechless. “Thanks,” you murmured softly, tugging it over your head appreciatively. “It suits you,” she blurted out before she could stop herself, admiring the way you looked in her clothes. Sinking your teeth into your bottom lip to prevent yourself from smiling at the compliment, your cheeks flared red as you avoided her curious gaze. You were thankful when she flicked the lights off, praying she hadn’t noticed you how easily she flustered you. Your smile widened with a will of its own when the bed dipped beside, Kazuha slipping beneath the covers.
Your breath hitched when her arm brushed against yours, poking the inside of your cheek with your tongue as your nerves got the best of you. No matter how many times you’d shared a bed with the dancer the tension lingering between the two of you never faded. Though after an agonising five minutes of painful silence, Kazuha finally shifted closer to you. She pretended it was so she wouldn’t fall off the edge to ease her mind, but both of you knew it had nothing to do with that. “I’m cold,” the lie rolled off your tongue with practiced ease, shuffling closer to Kazuha under the pretense of a cool night.
It was the same as every night you visited Kazuha. The excuses you made to be closer to one another were safe. It didn’t matter that neither of you believed the poorly curated lies. It was familiar and that was what mattered. Though Kazuha deemed tonight would be different. The way your breath fanned her neck when you snuggled closer to her was something she didn’t want to imagine her life without. She never wanted to forget the way hands curled into the fabric of her hoodie so tightly as though you feared she may disappear into the darkness of the night. Your sleepy confessions that made her heart race each night weren’t something she was sure she could survive without. Having all that in mind made words she’d stumbled over for months seamlessly roll off the tip of her tongue.
“You know I like you right?” Kazuha's question echoes the darkness. You hummed in acknowledgement, biting your tongue as you shifted in her embrace. A part of her regretted the admission when you received it with silence, but you spoke before she could spiral. “I don’t know what to say,” your whisper was so quiet she almost missed it. Rather than jumping to conclusions, she waited patiently for you to elaborate, but she couldn’t help the anxious feeling that overcame her. “You’re one of the kindest people I know and you make me feel so safe, but a part of it scares me.” You confessed, voice muffled by her shoulder. Her heart ached at the pain hiding beneath your words.
“It scares me because you’re the only person that has ever made me feel this way,” you continued bravely. “And I don’t know what that means or if it’s even what you want to hear-” You cut yourself off, inhaling sharply as soon as the words left your lips. You couldn’t see the faint smile tugging at the corners of Kazuha’s mouth for it was hidden by the darkness, but you could feel her grip on your waist tighten. “I guess what I’m trying to say is.. I think I like you too,” you breathed out before it could become a ramble about months of concealed confessions. The warmth that blossomed in Kazuha’s chest at your admission was like no other. She was certain she could never be happier than she was in that very moment.
“Really?” The doubtful inquiry escaped her lips before she could stop it, uncertainty clouding her mind. “I’ve never felt this way for anyone else before, but if you’d be willing…I’d like to see where this might lead us.” You suggested, voluntarily taking a leap of faith into the unknown for her. “You mean dating?” She questioned cluelessly, holding her breath hopefully. “Only if you’re interested-” You stumbled over your words, desperately warding off the doubts that plagued your mind day and night. “Of course I am,” she breathed out before you finish, cheeks hurting from the sheer amount of times she’d smiled in your presence.
“Well then I suppose that’s settled,” you uttered stiffly, unsure how to proceed with your newfound establishment. It seemed Kazuha was no better, awkwardly shifting beneath you as she struggled to find the right words. “I suppose so,” was all she managed to conjure, words left hanging in the air. Though you were no strangers to awkward tension lingering between you, this was unfamiliar territory. Your mind wandered far and wide until the painfully loud silence simply became too much to bear.
“Zuha?” You questioned into the crook of her neck, feeling her go rigid beneath as your lips barely brushed against her skin. “Mhm?” She hummed shakily, not trusting her voice enough to speak. “I really want to kiss you right now,” your daring declaration caught the dancer off guard, blood rushing to her face. “Oh… oh!” She exclaimed clumsily, eyes comically wide as her brain scrambled to express her delight. “Oh?” You questioned, insecurities creeping into the whispered question. “Good oh! Great even!” She was quick to confirm, tugging you closer before doubts could pull you away.
“Good oh..” You trailed off with a pleased smile, Kazuha nodding her head rapidly in agreement despite the fact you couldn’t see her. “Well in that case,” you mumbled into the silence, lifting your head from her chest. If Kazuha was curious, you didn’t leave her wondering long. Leaning forwards, your soft lips managed to find her cheek in the darkness, lingering before you pulled away with a pleased grin. The dancer was wrong when she though she could never be happier, because if she got to spend the rest of her life like this she was bound to combust from joy.
It may not have been the kiss Kazuha was expecting, but her heart thrashed painfully against her ribs nonetheless. The content sigh that slipped past her lips was enough confirmation for you to know she felt the same way you did in that exact moment. While learning to love would certainly be difficult, you were positive that with Kazuha by your side anything was achievable. With that in mind, you slipped into a peaceful slumber in the embrace of the girl you would come to love in no time.
waiting patiently for my kiss 😌😌

Can u make like yunjin from le sserafim and fem reader having an argument like about how yunjin forgot about important stuff and the reader is giving her the silent treatment and then it turns into fluff
A/N: as i’m rereading your request, i just now realized you wanted an argument- i’m sorry, i only included the silent treatment part!! (pls forgive me.. i hope you still like it.)
Pairing: Yunjin x Fem!Reader
Idol: Huh Yunjin (Le Sserafim)
Warning(s): None!
Your relationship with Yunjin was filled with love and happiness, as most relationships should be. However, there was one recurring issue that had been nearly driving you insane—Yunjin's forgetfulness. Yunjin seemed to forget important things, like special dates and even plans that you had made together.
After another forgotten event, instead of you expressing your grievances, you simply chose to remain quiet. You didn’t even bother reminding her before she left your shared apartment. Though, your attire should’ve rang some bells in her head, it did not. While you weren’t dressed formally, you were dressed well enough for her to tell you intended on going somewhere. But no, she simply complimented you and gave you a kiss, not bothering to put two and two together.
See, as a date idea, you had made a reservation at a restaurant that Yunjin loved, but your girlfriend had completely forgotten about that and went to spend time with some friends instead. By the time she came back, you were sitting on the couch flipping through channels and changed into more comfortable clothes. She happily plopped down beside you, ready to tell you all about her day and how much fun she had.
Yunjin was completely oblivious to the fact that she was being subjected to the silent treatment. She continued to talk to you as if everything was normal, only to be met with your silence. Confusion flickered in her eyes as she realized that something was amiss. She was used to doing all the talking in the relationship and was overall more talkative than you, but you were oddly quieter than usual.
"Love?" Yunjin called out tentatively, her voice filled with concern. "Are you okay? Did I say something wrong?" Still, you remained silent, refusing to acknowledge her, leaving her in the echoing void of your silence.
Like a puppy wanting attention, she scooted closer to you and brushed her fingers against yours, hoping for a response. To no surprise, you simply kept your gaze fixed forward. Though, you didn’t brush her off or move away, providing her a short relief since you weren’t preventing her from touching you.
“Baby..” She leaned closer, her breath tickling your ear, hoping that proximity would melt away the tension. It affected you, of course. She’s simply your weakness, but you were still upset with her. So, you suddenly stood up and made your way to your shared bedroom. Without skipping a beat, she was right on your tail from the moment you put a foot forward. She trailed behind you, not far but not too close either.
“Why are you ignoring me?” The taller woman asked as you opened the door, having her close it behind the two of you. As expected, you didn’t give her a response. You acted as if she wasn’t there and went into the bathroom, planning on getting ready to wine down for the night. She watched you through the mirror, eyebrows furrowed and arms crossed.
She just couldn’t figure out what she did and was frustrated that she couldn’t rack her brain for a memory to pop up. Knowing you wouldn’t verbally tell her, she marched out of the bathroom with a mission in mind:
Recall what she forgot this time.
So, she decided to look around the bedroom. She looked for any possible notes, if she misplaced something, literally anything. Well, that was until she looked up at the calendar above your desk. Yunjin walked closer so she could read the writing—when she spotted it, she wanted to give herself a facepalm over and over again. In red pen with hearts and exclamation marks was the name of her favorite restaurant and “date” written beside it.
Just as she turned around, you were exiting the bathroom. All she could do was freeze because she didn’t expect you to be out so soon. Not that you were paying her any mind anyways, she thought. You completely walked past her to lay down on the bed, her eyes trailing you as you did so.
Yunjin's worry turned into desperation as she tried different approaches to break through your silence. She went to your side of the bed and kneeled next to you, holding onto your hand. She was once again shocked that you let her touch you, her eyes widening slightly before she composed herself. "Love, I'm so sorry." Yunjin whispered, her voice barely audible.
"Please, talk to me."
But you stayed resolute, your silence unyielding. Yunjin's heart sank, and she sighed in defeat, plopping down on the bed with a heavy thud. Her eyes, once filled with determination, were now filled with sadness and longing.
Time seemed to stretch on as Yunjin watched you, her gaze filled with an unspoken plea. She desperately wanted to fix things, to make you smile again, but she didn't know how. She contemplated her actions, realizing the impact her forgetfulness had on you, and regret washed over her.
Suddenly, Yunjin had an idea. Determined to break through your silence, she sat up and reached for her phone. Swiftly, she typed a message and sent it to your number:
"I know I've messed up, and I'm truly sorry. I promise to be more attentive and remember all the important things. But I need you, my love. I need your voice, your laughter, your love. Please, let me make it right."
Your phone lit up on the bedside table, causing you to glance at the heartfelt message. Your heart softened as the read the text on the screen. You turned to Yunjin and saw the sincerity in her eyes, causing you to crack. You couldn't ignore her any longer. With a small smile, you finally gave in to her cuteness, unable to resist her genuine efforts.
Opening your arms for her, she immediately embraced you. It was a hug so tight that one would assume she was afraid you’d leave. You would never do that, but she felt like she lost a part of you when you weren’t speaking. "Thank you.." Yunjin murmured into your shoulder, her voice filled with relief.
"I promise, I'll do better. I love you."
You melted into her embrace, feeling the warmth of her love surround you. The tension that had filled the room dissipated, replaced by a renewed sense of connection and understanding. You both knew that despite the occasional arguments and moments of frustration, your love for each other would always bring you back together.
“I love you too.” You finally spoke, causing the brunette to squeal and roll over, bringing you with her. You couldn’t help but laugh at the action as it resulted in you being on top of her, still within her embrace.
Yunjin rested her head back onto the bed, looking up at you with a smile; another thing you could not resist. With the close proximity, she puckered her lips, causing you to smile at the gesture. You knew what she wanted, but you weren’t sure if you wanted to give in to it. She still had her arms around you so she shook you a little, basically pleading.
“Come on..”
You rolled your eyes playfully before placing a quick kiss on her lips. You were met with a look of disbelief, which made your smile widen. You knew that wasn’t enough to satisfy her, but you loved messing with her and it seemed fair to do so after what happened this evening.
You hummed, contemplating whether you should give in to your girlfriend’s wants, or what she would consider her needs. “Don’t think about it, just do it.” You heard her mutter beneath you, causing you to raise your eyebrows.
“Then work for it.” You spoke against her lips, earning a groan from the woman and evoking a chuckle out of you.
And work for it, she would.

Hiding In Plain Sight
Kazuha x F!Reader
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: pure chaos, reader was in iz*one,
Word Count: 2.5k
Buy Me A Coffee :)
As hard as you tried to listen to the words of your leader, you couldn't help but let your eyes wander to the girl beside you, Chaewon's stern voice falling deaf in your eara. Your eyes shone with mirth as you watched Kazuha's focus waver, feeling your stare burning holes into the side of her head. She couldn't help the smile that made its way onto her face upon turning to meet your warm gaze. Her cheeks burned red as you continued to silently stare at her like a love sick fool. She willed herself to turn back to Chaewon with great effort, but not before reaching out to give your hand a brief squeeze.
Your forehead creased in a frown as she pulled her hand back to her lap after a few short seconds. Staring after her hand with a pout, you silently shifted on the couch, shuffling closer to your girlfriend. Your hand crept closer to Kazuha's as Chaewon droned on about the importance of your upcoming performance. The ballerina spared you another glance, eyes softening when they landed on your subtle frown. She wordlessly closed the distance between your hands, grasping your hand firmly in reassurance. She laced your fingers together as a silent promise she wouldn't let go this time.
"Are you guys even listening?!" Chaewon's yell of exasperation pulled the two of you from a world of your own. You both exchanged shy smiles before offering an apologetic expression to your leader. The older merely huffed dismissively, ignoring the giggles of your members as they shared knowing looks. When Chaewon resumed her lecture, the two of you did your best to listen carefully so not to anger your leader. While your gazes never flickered to one another again in fear of a scolding, your hands remained intertwined at your sides.
~~
Attending what the dancer could've sworn was the millionth schedule that week, she allowed a tired sigh to slip past her lips. Her mind wandered far and wide as she willed her eyes not to flutter closed, just a few more hours. Kazuha found her gaze wandering the dressing room in search of you, unable to help the smile from tugging her lips upwards as her eyes landed on their intended target. She watched silently as you happily spoke with your stylist, admiring your stage outfit appreciatively. Her eyes filled with delight when you briefly met her gaze, beaming when your lips curled into a knowing grin.
Sakura eyed her younger member knowingly, lips twitching as the faintest of grins threatened to creep onto her face. She knew how much Kazuha adored you from the very moment she laid her pretty brown eyes upon you. The way the dancer's gaze lingers longer on you than anyone else, an exception to her boredom, her only exception. She would never get bored losing herself in you, in your irises that shone with nothing but affection for her. Tracing your features with her eyes when you weren't looking, admiring each and every detail that was unique to you and you only.
How she would attentively listen to every word that rolled off your tongue, no matter how stupid it may be. When she would unconsciously smile each time a melodious laugh passed your lips. Most of all, the way she always longed to be in your presence, whether it be sitting silently as her leg gently brushed against yours or simply standing by your side during schedule. It eased her mind, she liked knowing she would never have to reach far to find your hand. She liked knowing you were close by.
Sakura's eyes swirled with fondness as she glanced between the two of you. For as long as the eldest had known you, you had always been the reserved girl that preferred watching from the sidelines rather than drawing attention. Listening rather than speaking. But with Kazuha you were an entirely different person. She brought you out of your shell, and Sakura couldn't be more thankful for it. They all got to witness a different side of you, only none of them could seem to figure out why the Japanese girl was the only one that could make it happen. Sakura was content not knowing, she was just happy the two of you had found one another.
~~
You tugged Kazuha's- your cap down to cover your eyes as numerous bright flashes of a camera threatened to blind you. You did your best to wave at fans as you moved through the airport at an ungodly hour of the morning. A grin crept onto lips when the faintest brush of fingertips grazed your arm. No words were exchanged between the two of you as Kazuha linked her arm with yours, head landing on your shoulder as you waited patiently at security. You leaned into her comforting touch, it helped you forget about how tired you truly were.
"Where's your jacket?" Kazuha whispered, concern growing when you shivered in her grasp. "Eunchae was cold," you shrugged, sparing a glance at the youngest who bounced around happily in your oversized hoodie. Kazuha couldn't help but smile at your selflessness, though she also couldn't help but worry when goosebumps rose in the wake of the airport's stupidly cold air conditioning. "You'll keep me warm, right?" You questioned teasingly, smirking when her cheeks flushed red. Glancing around awkwardly, she nodded her head jerkily with false confidence.
Unlinking your arm from hers, your eyes landed on her timid smile as you turned to face her. She raised her brows in silent questioning, but you merely grinned cheekily, eyes dancing with mischief. Her hands were stuffed into her jacket pockets, so you took the opportunity to snake your hands into her unzipped jersey, wrapping your arms around her waist securely. She smiled in understanding when you buried your face into the crook of her neck, wrapping her hoodie around you, allowing you to share the warmth. Neither of you paid attention to the increased flashes of cameras at your display, simply basking in one another's presence before you would be inevitably separated for an agonisingly long fight.
~~
Zuha <3: I miss you, come cuddle me
Chaewon's curious gaze flickered to you upon hearing your uncharacteristically loud giggles fill the small hotel room. "Who are you texting??" Chaewon questioned, eyes narrowed in suspicion as she stared down at you. "No one," you murmur unconvincingly, the slight quirk of your lips giving you away. The older girl stared at you scrutinizingly, tongue poking the inside of her cheek. She watched as you smiled down at your phone, tapping away happily. "Y/n, I can see you typing." Chaewon muttered, unimpressed by your poor attempt at lying.
Abruptly lifting yourself off the hotel bed opposite Chaewon's, you grabbed your jacket before heading towards the door. "Where are you going?" Your leader questions, attempting to mask her worry with faux frustration. "Zuha and Kkura unnie's room, they're more fun." You poked your tongue out at your leader before slipping out of your shared room. Chaewon pinched the bridge of her nose in exasperation as the door clicked shut behind her. You were certainly close to earning the role of her most troublesome child.
~~
Kazuha smiled when she heard the door to her hotel room creak open, placing her phone down when you came tip-toed into sight. She chuckled when you waved at her with a stupid grin, opening her arms expectantly. "Where's Kkura unnie?" You questioned, practically launching yourself into her arms. Kazuha huffed when you landed atop her but smiled nonetheless. "She went out, Yunjin and Eunchae wanted to explore." She explained, and you snorted, imagining your poor eldest member being dragged from place to place by the energetic duo. "You didn't want to join them?" You asked, but Kazuha merely shook her head, smiling down at you.
"I just wanted to spend time with you," the dancer confessed, pulling you impossibly closer in the dimly lit hotel room. "You're such a sap," you teased, ducking your head in hopes of hiding your flushed cheeks. Kazuha only smiled in response, unable to deny your claim. After a beat of silence passed, you glanced up at your girlfriend, melting under her adoring gaze. "But I missed you too," you admitted, recalling the messages she'd sent earlier. Beaming at your admission, Kazuha felt the words rolling off the tip of her tongue before she could stop them.
"I love you," she uttered, brown orbs swirling with sincerity. No matter how many times the words slipped past her lips, butterflies would always swarm to life inside your stomach every time. "I love you too," you whispered into the comfortable silence, snuggling into her arms. "But you've really got to stop making me act like a lunatic in public with your adorable texts because Chaewon unnie is getting suspicious." You huffed, and Kazuha chuckled at your strange request. "Then how will you know I want cuddles?" She asked, flashing you an adorably innocent grin. "Fair point," you conceded, feeling your eyes begin to grow heavy with sleep. Her soft giggles were the last thing you heard before losing yourself to sleep.
~~
You found yourself right back in Kazuha's warm embrace on the dorm's couch the very next week. Only this time the members seemed to be consumed by a world of chaos, one the two of you simply watched from the outskirts. You were perfectly content in her arms, feeling no desire to be anywhere else. "You guys are being boring again!" Eunchae suddenly complained, dragging you into her chaos, willing or not. As much as you loved your youngest member, nothing could move you from the comforting hold of your girlfriend.
"I'm tired," you complained, snuggling further into Kazuha's arms, face buried in her hoodie clad shoulder. "Go bed if you're tired!" Chaewon scolded you without missing a beat, hands planted firmly on her hips. "No, I want to stay here with Zuha." You huffed, feeling the dancer's hold on you tighten in silent agreement. You groaned in annoyance when Chaewon tried to tug at your arm in hopes of convincing you to sleep early for once, but to no avail.
"Hey, I thought I was your favourite!" Yunjin exclaimed loudly, eyes narrowed as you sunk further into your girlfriend's embrace. Plopping down on the couch beside you with a thud, the vocalist poked your cheek repetitively until you spared her a glance. Swatting her hand away, you shook your head at her claim, fingers curling into the fabric of your girlfriend's hoodie. "Zuha's warmer," you uttered simply, grinning at the look of betrayal spreading across Yunjin's features.
"Unnie, you told me I was your favourite last week!" Eunchae whined, betrayal of her own creeping onto her face. The youngest's saddened expression had you reluctantly pulling away from Kazuha, rising to your feet and padding towards the disheartened maknae. "Don't be silly, I don't have favourites." You reassured, ruffling Eunchae and flashing her an apologetic smile. "Except Zuha?" Yunjin inquired, squinting at you from the couch. "Except Zuha," you affirmed, the words slipping past your lips before you could stop them. The chaos that followed was certainly worth seeing Kazuha's sheepish smile.
~~
The six of you sat in a circle in the dorm's living room, numerous exclamations both happy and sad, ones you were almost certain your neighbours would be complaining about tomorrow. Who knew Uno could be such a competitive game? You spared a subtle glance in Kazuha's direction, nudging her upon noticing she was left with only one card. Her confused gaze found yours, to which you nodded your head towards her singular card. "Oh, Uno!" Kazuha announced happily, smiling when you clapped encouragingly. You smiled when she sported a cute frown, her eyes drifting between the stack cards and her own, determined to win.
"Y/n unnie! It's your turn," Eunchae complained impatiently, pulling you from your daze. You hummed in acknowledgement, hearing Eunchae giggle when your eyes landed on the stack of cards before you. "Pick up eight!" The youngest cackled evilly, eyes dancing with mischief. Your eyes briefly flickered to your own draw two card, but one wary glance in Kazuha's direction and you knew what you had to do. Eunchae grinned widely when you began picking up the required eight cards from the deck, and it was all worth it when you heard your girlfriend's exclamation of victory. Cheering happily, you leaned forward and pressed a celebratory kiss to her cheek despite your own calculated misfortune.
Your leader's jaw dropped at the display, eyes wide as she stared at the two of you in disbelief. Never in all the years Chaewon had known you had you ever let anyone kiss your cheek, let alone kiss someone else's. "I want a kiss too!" Yunjin requested, tapping her cheek expectantly. You shook your head in refusal, poking your tongue out at the vocalist childishly. "How come Zuha gets a kiss and I don't?" The older girl complained, still insistently taping her cheek. "Because Zuha's my girlfriend," you blurted out casually.
Chaewon's brain promptly short-circuited.
"How come you never told me you had a crush?" Chaewon asked, offended that you hadn't confided in her. Sakura cut in when you began to stumble over your words, embarrassment clear as day on your face. "It was kinda obvious, Chaewon-ah." The eldest stated plainly, earning a grateful smile from you. "We never really hid it from you guys," you mumbled, sheepishly scratching the back of your neck. The leader only shushed you in response, patting your head affectionately. "I can't believe my baby had her first kiss!" She squealed, pulling you into yet another bone crushing hug.
Not only had you, her child, had what she was convinced was your first kiss, but now you had a girlfriend too? "Chaewon unnie?" You questioned hesitantly, nothing was ever good when she was quiet, shouting would be closer to normal, preferred even. Her narrowed eyes flickered between you and Kazuha for what felt like aeons before she finally broke her silence. "My baby is growing up!" She cried, pulling you into a surprisingly tight hug. You fought off the grin threatening to break out on your features at her approval. No one's opinion meant more to you than hers.
"Unnie, is that why you always sleep in Zuha's bed-" Eunchae was hurriedly dragged away by Yunjin before she could complete her innocent question, but enough had been said, or perhaps too much. "Y/n, what was Eunchae talking about? I'm only going to ask you once." Reluctantly turning to meet your demise, you winced upon meeting Chaewon's harsh glare, wondering how it was possible for someone so tiny to be so incredibly intimidating. "I'm waiting." Your leader uttered impatiently.
"First?" You didn't get a chance to finish your sentence before Yunjin's hand was slapped over your mouth. Her eyes were comically wide as she shook head rapidly, pointing towards Chaewon in warning. The leader's eyes were now narrowed in a glare, staring down at you. "That's right, first kiss!" You swallowed thickly, shrinking under her stern gaze. Chaewon hummed approvingly, sending Kazuha one last warning glare before smiling brightly at the two of you.
You were so dead.
writing this much fluff back to back is so out of character for me, someone pls come exorcise these happy demons from me

now playing - the perfect pair by beabadoobee
Pairing: Kazuha x Fem!Reader
Idol: Nakamura Kazuha (Le Sserafim)
Warning(s): None!
You and Kazuha have been dating for several months now and you already knew what you were getting yourself into when you said yes to becoming her girlfriend. You remember the moment vividly and you wouldn’t have had it any other ways
You both strolled through the tranquil park, the moonlight casting a gentle glow upon your faces. You walked hand in hand, relishing in the serenity of the night. The distant sounds of nature created a soothing symphony that enveloped you both.
As you continued on, Kazuha's gaze fell upon a lamppost standing tall and illuminating the area with a warm, inviting light. Feeling a rush of emotions, Kazuha gently tugged your hand, guiding you to a pause beneath the lamppost's gentle glow.
Curious about the sudden halt, you turned to Kazuha with a questioning smile. Her eyes sparkled with affection as she took a deep breath, gathering the courage to express her feelings. With a soft yet confident voice, she spoke the words that had been lingering on her heart.
"I know I’m not always with you, but I cherish every moment I have with you. Your presence brings me joy and comfort like no other. You mean so much to me and I hope to show that to you time and time again. Loving you is as easy as breathing. So, with all my heart, I want to ask you... Will you be my girlfriend?"
Your eyes widened in surprise and delight, your heart racing with excitement. "I have been waiting for you to ask for so long." The taller woman’s eyes practically pleaded for you to continue, to give her the answer she wanted. “So is that a yes?” She tilted her head, earning a chuckle and nod from you.
“Of course, dummy!”
Kazuha's face lit up with an infectious smile, her eyes gleaming with happiness. Overwhelmed with joy, she gently pulled you into a warm embrace, to which you happily accepted. The night park embraced your love, having the chance to witness the special moment. You pulled back and cupped her face, connecting your lips for the sweetest kiss. When you separated, you both began giggling like high school girls.
Ever since that day, she kept true to her word. Despite Kazuha’s demanding schedule, she always made time for you even while she was gone. She had developed a heartwarming habit of leaving little love notes for you to find, even in the midst of her busy days.
Each day, you would discover a sweet note tucked away in unexpected places—a heartfelt message hidden in a jacket pocket, a tender reminder on the bathroom mirror, or a cute doodle slipped into the pages of a book.
Every note brought a smile to your face, reminding you of your girlfriend’s unwavering love and thoughtfulness.
She was normally gone before you even woke up, leaving you facing an empty side of the bed by the time you’d awoken. However, any sad feeling you felt at the realization that she wasn’t there left when you spotted a note on the bedside table.
You sat up and picked it up, looking over the words. It was a short and sweet message that read, “You’re my favorite part of the day.” A smile made its way onto your face, the words filling your heart with warmth and anticipation for the love of your life to return home.
The evening approached rather quickly, leaving you eagerly waiting for Kazuha to come back from practice. She sent you texts throughout the day, but your favorite text was when she told you she was on her way.
As the sound of the front door opening reached the your ears, you jumped up from the couch. You couldn't contain her excitement any longer. With a wide smile spread across your face, you hurriedly made your way to the entrance, eager to welcome your girl home.
The moment she came into view, you rushed towards your beloved, throwing your arms around her and enveloping her in a tight embrace. "You're back!" You exclaimed, your voice filled with genuine joy. "I missed you so much." Caught off guard but pleasantly surprised, Kazuha reciprocated the gesture with a big smile.
The brunette released a joyful giggle, her eyes sparkling with affection. "I missed you too, my love. Your hugs are the best part of coming home." She spoke as she swayed you both side to side. You breathed in her scent and basked in the warmth that she provided, feeling at the upmost ease. It was simple moments like these that made your day.
Your embrace lingered for a few more precious moments before you reluctantly pulled apart, your smiles never leaving. You couldn't help but steal a soft kiss, your lips lightly brushing against Kazuha's, catching her off guard yet again. Though, her surprise quickly turned into a delighted giggle, her cheeks flushing with a rosy hue. She returned the kiss with equal tenderness, cherishing the intimate connection you shared.
“As much as I love your hugs, I think cuddling on the couch and watching a movie would be better.” Kazuha whispered against your lips, her voice filled with a hint of playfulness. A dramatic gasp escaped your lips at the suggestion. “You dare put something above my hugs?” You tried to untangled yourself from her, but she wasn’t allowing that and simply hugged you tighter.
“Well, if you think about it, cuddling is just hugging, but longer.” You squinted your eyes at her, not wanting to be convinced by the comparison, though it was harder not to when you did really think about it. “You have an interesting mind, my love.” You teased, earning a triumphant smile from the latter.
“Movie time!” Kazuha suddenly shouted after a pause, wrapping her arms around your back and behind your knees, lifting you up bridal style. You yelped, tightening your hold on her and hiding your head in her neck. She then made her way over to the couch and dropped you on it, but you quickly grabbed her shirt and brought her down with you, resulting in a giggling fit between the two of you when she held herself up from landing all of her weight on you.
Your faces were mere inches apart, to the point where her breath tickled your nose. Kazuha's eyes, deep pools of calm, met yours after the laughter died down. "Hey," She whispered in the softest of voice, her lips curling into a gentle smile. “Hey..” You replied in a hushed tone, mirroring her smile soon after.
Unable to resist the allure of your closeness, you wrapped your arms around her neck, pulling her down just a bit closer. Without any resistance, she allowed herself to be drawn in, sealing the gap with a kiss. The room seemed to fade away, and it was as if time had slowed to a standstill.
Knowing that you could easily get lost in the love that is your girlfriend, you hummed to get her attention. She lifted herself back up, a look of confusion laced on her face. “So… the movie?” You joked, earning an eye roll and knowing smile from the brunette.
“The Nightmare Before Christmas?”
“I wouldn’t think of anything better.”
A/N: This is just a little something for the time being. School has been beating my ass. This was initially going in one direction but then I changed my mind midway through…

Pairing: Chaewon x Fem!Reader
Idol: Kim Chaewon (Le Sserafim)
Warning(s): None!
As the sun's gentle rays peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the room, you slowly stirred awake, feeling the softness of the sheets against your skin and the presence of a familiar body beside you. A contented smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you realized you were enveloped in the loving embrace of your girlfriend. She was sleeping peacefully, her delicate features highlighted by the morning light. You couldn't help but be captivated by her serene beauty, even in the simplicity of this intimate moment.
With a tender touch, you slowly reached out and brushed a lock of her hair behind her ear, marveling at the way she melted into your touch, her lips curving into a small smile as she began to stir. Chaewon's eyes fluttered open, revealing the sparkle of affection that always seemed to reside within them.
"Good morning, my love," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper. She responded with a sleepy hum, her voice filled with warmth and love. It was a symphony of love that played between you, a melody that was uniquely yours.
You stretched, relishing the tension leaving your muscles and popping joints. You were so engrossed in the huge stretch that when you opened your eyes and put your arms back down, you were stopped by arms wrapping around your torso. Chaewon snuggled closely and you couldn’t help but giggle at her need for cuddles in the morning.
You couldn’t and wouldn’t refuse her, happily wrapping your arms around her and placing a kiss on her forehead. You always found yourselves drawn to each other's embrace. The morning cuddles were always a cherished ritual for both of you. Wrapped in each other's arms, you reveled in the comfort and security you found in one another. Time seemed to slow down as you exchanged gentle kisses, your lips meeting in soft, tender caresses. The outside world faded away, and it was just the two of you, lost in the sweetness of the moment.
After some pleasant silence, you felt compelled to inquire, “Should we get up and-” Your question was swiftly cut off by her arms tightened around you, pulling you closer as she nuzzled her face into the crook of your neck. The softness of her breath tickled your skin, sending shivers down your spine. To add to that, the loud feigned snores that followed was all you needed to know before you pulled her impossibly closer, chuckling softly and closing your eyes
Eventually, the allure of breakfast and the prospect of a cozy day together enticed you both to leave the comfort of the bed. Slowly untangling yourselves from the embrace, you sat up together. With a shared smile, you padded into the kitchen hand-in-hand.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as you prepared a simple yet satisfying breakfast, enjoying the quiet companionship that permeated the room. The rhythmic clinking of knives against the cutting board created a soothing melody that accompanied your conversation, filled with laughter.
As the omelet sizzled in the pan, Chaewon's hand found its way to yours, her fingers lacing with yours in a comforting gesture. You stole glances at each other, your eyes speaking a language only the two of you understood. It was a language of love, trust, and unwavering commitment.
Once the food was prepared, you both sat down at the table, enjoying the delicious spread before you. With each bite, you couldn't help but marvel at how perfectly your lives intertwined. The domesticity of the moment felt like a dream come true.
After breakfast, you and Chaewon spent the day engaged in a myriad of activities. From cleaning and organizing to tackling a few errands, every task was made infinitely better with each other's presence. The simple act of being together, sharing mundane moments, held an extraordinary significance.
As evening descended, you found yourselves curled up on the couch, wrapped in a soft blanket. Chaewon's head was nestled against your chest, her steady breaths lulling you into a state of tranquility. Her fingers traced delicate patterns across your skin, leaving a trail of warmth in their wake. The world outside may have been chaotic, but in this intimate bubble, you found solace and peace. With a content smile, you pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, feeling an overwhelming surge of love for the person who completed you.
In that quiet moment, you realized that it wasn't just the grand gestures or extravagant adventures that defined your relationship. It was the little things—the shared laughter, the stolen kisses, and the warmth of being together in the simplest of moments.
Knowing you couldn’t bring yourself to get up and sleep in your shared bed, you separated yourself from the embrace and moved to lay down on the couch. Chaewon watched your every move, pouting at the newfound space between you. Without any hesitation, you opened your arms, inviting her in. Her pout immediately morphed into a smile as she eagerly plopped down on top of you, causing you to huff at the sudden weight. You allowed her to make herself comfortable before you wrapped an arm around her, using your free hand to play with her hair as she rested her head on your chest, sighing contently.
In the sanctuary of your love, time seemed to stand still, allowing you to savor every precious second together. And as you drifted off to sleep that night, entangled in each other's arms, you knew that tomorrow would bring more beautiful moments to cherish, more gentle caresses, and more soft kisses that would forever remind you of the depth of your love.

HELLO MY FAV WRITER!! ive miss u sm!! HSJAHSGS i act have a request!! hmmm ot5 lesserafim x reader,,where reader is a student and she just recently started college. they knew how reader take their education seriously LIKEEE VERYYY SERIOUSLY cause theyve seen reader being burnout n overworking n all while she were in hs. then theres this day/ week, they saw reader waking up at 3am or sum just to study and stressing and shi😭 barely sleeping at all..if you cant do ot5,,it can be sakura/chaewon !! thank you so much my fav person <33
A/N: i hope this is up to your liking because i really didn’t know what to do!?/$:! BUT you are so sweet, ily and i take great honor in being one of your faves!! <33
Pairing: OT5 X Fem!Reader
Group: Le Sserafim
Warning(s): None!
You recently embarked on your college journey and initially, you were excited, but that changed rather quickly when you became adapted. You were already well aware of the tough workload that was going to be thrown your way, but that wasn’t out of the ordinary for you. Would you consider yourself a dedicated and ambitious student? Yeah, that would be most fitting. You took your education very seriously.
The girls had witnessed firsthand how seriously you took your education. You often pushed yourself to the brink of exhaustion during your high school years, and they had seen the toll it took on you, as burnout and overworking became all too familiar.
Though, you’ve always had such a great support system because of them. The girls were determined to support you in any way they could. They literally formed an unbreakable pact without you knowing. The five girls vowed to be there for you, providing comfort, solace, and a much-needed distraction from your studies whenever you needed it most.
On a particular day, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the world around them fell into a peaceful slumber, Sakura being the only presumed one awake at the time, noticed something amiss. She walked past your room to go to the bathroom, but retracted her steps when she heard faint music coming from your room. She quietly opened your door, the sound falling on deaf ears as you were entirely fixated on your books and notes.
You were awake at an ungodly hour, your face etched with stress and fatigue. The sight struck a chord deep within her heart, and she knew they needed to intervene. The very next day, she told all of the girls and they were more than ready to take action the next time they caught you, which they knew would be relatively soon.
On that same day, with a shared determination, the girls stealthily gathered their resources, concocting a plan to put an end to your late-night study sessions. They wanted to remind you of the importance of self-care and that they would always be there for you.
As the clock struck 3 am, the group of girls made their way to Kazuha’s room, where they ordered you to stay when you got back to the dorm. You tried questioning them, but they didn’t leave any room for that and ushered you into her room. Sighing, you brought all the stuff you needed for studying that night, into the room. Eunchae was the one to creak the door open, allowing them to peek in. Like the night before, you were nearly falling asleep as you continued to go over the material.
Sakura, being the first to catch you in this state, took charge. She had prepared meticulously crafted flashcards and notes that would not only make studying easier for you but also inject an element of fun into the process. Each note was laced with encouraging messages and colorful illustrations, designed to uplift your spirits.
Meanwhile, Chaewon and Yunjin busied themselves in the kitchen, cooking up a storm. They knew that a well-fed mind would thrive, so they prepared cuisine meant just for you. Delicious aromas wafted through the air as they whipped up your favorite dishes, carefully arranging them on a beautifully decorated tray. Though, there were moments where Chaewon occasionally scolded Yunjin for messing around and eating some of the ingredients, of course. Next time the younger girl tried to get a bite, she quickly swatted her hand away.
Kazuha and Eunchae, the mischievous duo, had a different plan in mind. While you were on campus, they took your mountain of homework and assignments, determined to alleviate your burden. Thankfully, you didn’t bring them with you and instead, only a notebook for your notes. They were set to work, meticulously completing your tasks with precision and care. Some assignments were required to be done on a laptop and they nearly panicked trying to guess your password.
Luckily, they were dealing with a forgetful person who happened to write her password on a sticky note. Kazuha pointed to the note on the desk once she spotted it, causing Eunchae to sigh out of relief. They both erupted into a fit of laughter once they realized you left it out in the open and they were panicking for nothing. Although, they cut it really close to when you came back to the dorm, scrambling to leave your room how it was and as if nothing was out of place.
They walked past you, doing their best not to act suspicious, but you felt that something was off and squinted your eyes at them. Shrugging, you continued your path to your room. Once you were out of sight and they heard the door close, they giggled and fist bumped before going their separate ways.
As the girls executed their plan with utmost devotion, they finally unveiled their surprise to you. They had taken you from Kazuha’s room without any protests. You were beyond tired and just chose your rest your head on Sakura’s shoulder as she and the others guided you back to your room. You had no energy to question theme
Opening your bedroom door, you were met with a scene straight out of a fairy tale. Soft music played in the background, the room adorned with twinkling fairy lights, and the intoxicating aroma of your favorite scent coming from candles.
Overwhelmed with emotions, your eyes welled up with tears of gratitude. Your friends, your pillars of support, had transformed your ordinary night into a magical one. They had gone above and beyond, pampering you like a princess and showing their unwavering love and care.
Sakura handed you the thoughtfully prepared flashcards, encouraging you to take breaks and enjoy the journey of learning. Chaewon and Yunjin presented you with one of your favorite dishes, urging her to savor each bite and nourish your body and soul. Of course, they put the others in the fridge. Kazuha and Eunchae revealed the completed assignments, relieving you of the heavy weight that had burdened you.
Not knowing what else to do, you brought them in for a group hug, mumbling and repeating a ‘thank you’ into Sakura’s shoulder, considering she was the first to accept the hug before the others quickly joined.
From that night forward, you experienced a newfound balance in her life. You continued to excel academically, driven by your passion and support from your friends. But you also learned the importance of self-care, knowing that your mental and emotional well-being were just as crucial as your academic pursuits.
With that being said, would you still occasionally drive yourself to the brink of insanity dealing with the stress that was awaiting you for the rest of your college years? Yes, yes you would.

Heyy!! I have this cute idea
How about Yunjin and 6th member reader who are in a relationship and whenever they play any sorta game R looks at Yunjin pouting and so Yunjin lets her win all the time and the other members are annoyed at her
Just a light-hearted idea
A/N: Hii! This really was such a cute idea.
Pairing: Yunjin x Fem!Reader
Idol: Huh Yunjin (Le Sserafim)
Warning(s): None!
You and Yunjin have been dating for several months now, and your love for each other had only grown stronger with time. Of course, the girls were well aware of this and supported it. However, it was times where you played games that they couldn’t stand you both, or more so Yunjin. One thing you guys enjoyed doing when you had free time was playing video games together.
The familiar jingle of Mario Kart's theme song filled the room, you and the others settled yourselves on the couch, eagerly grabbing your controllers. Your members (and girlfriend) were more than ready for an intense gaming session. Whenever you guys gathered for these sessions, everyone was competitive, especially Sakura and Eunchae.
For this game, you were on teams. Yunjin, Chaewon and Eunchae were one team, and Sakura, Kazuha and you were on the other. Everyone knew that if Yunjin was on one team and you were on the opposite, they would want to be on your team. It was basically a gateway to winning.
This round, you and Yunjin were against each other. You couldn't help but smile as you glanced over at Yunjin. She always looked adorable when she was focused, her brows furrowed in concentration. There was no trash talking, but you did poke fun at her every now and then. Though, you had a tactic for whenever you began losing. Knowing that Yunjin couldn’t resist you, you abused the power you had over her. The competitive nature in you couldn't resist trying to bring out Yunjin's soft side. You would do anything to win, even if it meant playing dirty. So, whenever you found yourself losing, you would pout and shoot Yunjin a playful, pleading gaze. It didn't take long for Yunjin to fall for your tactics. Seeing your adorable pout, she couldn't resist giving in to her girlfriend's wishes.
As the race progressed, Yunjin's gaze kept drifting towards you, unable to resist the urge to make you happy. Every time you pouted, Yunjin's heart melted, and she found herself easing off the gas pedal, allowing you to pass her effortlessly.
The other members quickly caught on to Yunjin's habit of letting you win, and they couldn't help but express their displeasure. Well, it was more so your rivals. Chaewon, known for her fiery spirit, couldn't contain her annoyance any longer. "Yah! Stop letting her win!" she shouted, throwing her controller up in the air in frustration. Eunchae joined in, throwing her head back in exasperation and exclaiming, "Unnie!"
Amidst the chaos, Sakura and Kazuha couldn't help but celebrate the victory. They high-fived each other, enjoying their win while sharing amused glances with you.
Yunjin, on the other hand, was flustered by Chaewon’s outburst and tried to defend herself. "I-I'm not letting her win on purpose! It's just... luck!" She stammered, desperately searching for excuses. But her teammates weren't buying it. They scoffed and rolled their eyes, clearly unconvinced.
While Chaewon continued to scold Yunjin, Sakura and Kazuha basked in your victories. Unable to contain your delight, you jumped up from the couch, cheering loudly before rushing over to hug Yunjin tightly. Planting a sweet kiss on her cheek, you couldn't help but tease your girlfriend playfully, "My big softie!" The members' voices faded into the background as you showered Yunjin with affection, not caring about the chaos surrounding her.
She blushed furiously, caught between the joy of your affection and the disapproving glares of her members. The raven-haired girl stammered, trying to find the right words to defend herself once again. "I... I just wanted Y/N to have fun, that's all! It doesn't mean I'm not good at this game!" She protested, hoping to salvage her dignity. Laughter filled the room as the playful banter between Yunjin, Chaewon and Eunchae continued.
Eventually, the members realized that no amount of complaints or protests would change Yunjin's behavior. They accepted that Yunjin was head over heels for you and couldn't resist your charms, even in the digital realm. Besides, deep down, they were happy to see Yunjin so smitten.
And so, as the Mario Kart tournament continued, Yunjin found herself torn between competitiveness and the overwhelming desire to see your smile. Yunjin occasionally tried to sneak in a win, but you always saw through her tactics, and you would both dissolve into fits of laughter. The members learned to embrace the dynamic and even started teasing Yunjin about being a "whipped girlfriend," which only made Yunjin blush and laugh along.
No matter what, she knew that in the end, there was no resisting you, and your members couldn’t stop that. They wouldn’t even bother trying.

i am living for the character development!! i love this so much and you are such an amazing writer. <3
rumor has it
synopsis: rumor has it that yu jimin, straight A student and the star captain of the university's volleyball team, has only gotten to where she is through cheating and bribery. now, she's your partner for a final paper.
uni student jimin x uni student fem!reader
warnings: cursing
word count: 9.5k
notes: this is my first time uploading a piece on any media platform. feedback and comments are much appreciated!
the buzz of the students in the lecture hall dies down immediately as dr. kim, your english professor, walks in. you find your seat beside your best friend aeri and uncap your pen, ready to take notes. aeri, however, has different plans and rests her head on her arms, ready to catch up on sleep for the next hour. it isn't her fault that the university thought an 8 am english class was a great idea.
"good morning, class. let’s begin today’s lecture," dr. kim's voice echoes. with those words, you begin jotting down the professor's key points, making sure your handwriting is clear, knowing that the sleeping girl beside you will be asking for your notes later.
throughout the lecture, you can't resist sneaking glances at the girl two rows ahead of you. yu jimin sits there, in all her glory. you don’t know many people at this university, but it's nearly impossible not to recognize jimin.
her face adorns bulletin boards all over campus, celebrating her role as the victorious captain of the volleyball team that clinched the national championship for the university. from life-sized cutouts of her and the team placed around various corners to her frequent appearances on the university’s instagram story, it's harder to evade her presence than to acknowledge it.
although you aren't particularly interested in sports, you can't help but admit that she is extremely attractive. however, you’ve heard numerous stories about jimin's infamous reputation, primarily from the napping girl beside you. apparently, jimin is a rude and overall unpleasant person who got her high grades thanks to bribery and cheating.
an hour drifts by, and finally, dr. kim speaks the much-awaited words, "alright, class. i believe that concludes today’s session."
before you can pack your bag and make fun of your friend for drooling, dr. kim interjects, "oh, before i dismiss you, i'd like to announce that the final paper is approaching. it will be a paired effort." a glance between you and aeri implies your agreement to be partners.
"i will be assigning the pairs randomly," the professor states, pausing to allow the students to voice their groans and complaints.
"is she serious?" aeri asks you in a hushed voice. however, it wasn’t quiet enough.
"yes, miss uchinaga. i am indeed serious," you stifle a laugh as your best friend's ears turn crimson.
"as i was saying, this final paper will be done in pairs that i will randomly assign. you are all adults, and it's important to learn how to collaborate with people you don’t know. this paper will facilitate that skill." it takes all your restraint not to roll your eyes. it's way too early to be doing this.
“when i call your name, come up to my desk and pick a piece of paper from this box which has the names of everyone in this class. show me the piece of paper and i’ll announce it. if it’s your own name, you can draw again.” dr. kim looks around to make sure the class understands the instructions.
“it seems like everyone has understood so we’ll begin. miss uchinaga and miss y/l/n, why don’t you do the honors and pick out your pairs first.”
you and a much more awake aeri begin walking to the front, not missing the way jimin’s eyes quickly meet yours. maybe you just need some sleep just like aeri.
with a sigh, aeri goes first and is paired with the girl who is sitting on the right of jimin, a girl with the name ning yizhuo. she seems nice enough with the way she smiles at aeri when she hears her name.
you go up to the box and rummage through its contents. stopping at what you feel is an appropriate time, you unfold the paper and show it to your professor.
“it seems like ms. y/l/n’s partner for the final paper is yu jimin,” you make eye contact with her as the professor calls her name, and you give her a tight-lipped smile. she meets your eyes and only gives you a small nod. you and aeri go back to your seats.
as the professor continues to announce pairs, you notice a mix of expressions – excitement and disappointment – on the faces of your classmates. some seem genuinely happy with their partners, while others exchange anxious glances.
“i am giving you all 2 months to work on this paper. please do not procrastinate. this is a major paper, and your grade on it will have an immense effect on your final grade overall,” dr. kim announces before she leaves the room.
the buzz of the students in the lecture hall continues once more, with the majority of the class talking to their partners. you take a quick look at your partner, who was still sitting next to what seemed to be two of her close friends, one of which was aeri’s partner and the other was a girl named minjeong, her co-captain.
“i’m scared,” you tell your best friend. “what if she makes me do all the work?”
“hey, don’t judge a book by its cover – or i guess a person by their rumors,” aeri says, getting up from her chair.
“you’re the one who told me those rumors in the first place!”
“i would say i was spreading valuable information, not rumors,” aeri reasons as you both begin walking to exit the front door of the lecture hall.
before you both could step out the door, you feel a tap on your shoulder. you turn around, not expecting a certain raven-haired girl to be the one behind you.
“hi, y/n. i’m jimin,” she introduces herself to you bluntly without a smile on her face, how welcoming. before replying, you nod goodbye to aeri, encouraging her to go on without you.
“nice to meet you, jimin.” it was your first time talking to this girl, but immediately you could feel the pressure of her presence. you could barely look her in the eyes.
“here’s my number,” jimin hands you her phone with her contact information bright on the screen. “i have another class after this, but i’ll text you so that we can meet and talk about the paper.”
you nod, pulling out your phone and copying the numbers from her screen onto yours.
putting her phone back into her pocket, jimin begins walking out of the room with her two friends trailing not so far behind her.
“oh, and by the way, y/n,” jimin stops in her steps and stares you down in the eyes, “i won’t make you do all the work. i don’t trust you enough with my grades.”
you stand there, mouth slightly agape and face hot from embarrassment, watching the three girls walk out of your sight.
fuck.
"y/n, it's not that bad," aeri attempts to comfort you as she took a bite of her sandwich. hours had passed since you were paired with jimin, and now you found yourself in a university common space, trying to have lunch with aeri. however, the embarrassment from your earlier encounter was dampening your appetite.
"she probably hates me now, i can feel it," you sighed dramatically, plopping your head onto the cold table.
"what you're feeling is probably hunger. eat," aeri said, digging through your bag to retrieve your packed lunch. “it’s not your fault you didn’t know she had superhuman hearing,” aeri tries to make light of the situation.
"she's going to tell all her followers that i'm an asshole, and i'm somehow going to get expelled from this university," you exclaim with an exaggerated groan.
you're well aware you're being overly dramatic, but considering the rigorous academic demands of this university and the looming assignments, papers, and tests from multiple classes, your nerves are at an all-time high.
"first of all, calm down," aeri set her sandwich aside. "second, i know i'm the one who keeps you updated with all the campus gossip since you're practically a dorm hermit. but seriously, rumors are just rumors."
you didn't understand why she had to point out your introverted, homebody habits. "you should just let go of those rumors and form your own opinion about her once you actually get to know her."
you don't reply as you open up your lunch and began taking small bites. that was one of your biggest dilemmas. if you looked up "opinionated" in the dictionary, it would feature your face as an antonym.
always going with the flow, never wanting to stand out or have a loud presence, you'd rather take what you're given than go out and seek something yourself. hell, you couldn't even form an opinion on a tiktok without first checking the comments to see what the majority of viewers thought.
before you could spiral deeper into your thoughts, your phone vibrates.
yu jimin
this is jimin.
i’m free at 3 pm today. let’s meet at the library if you’re free too.
“who’s that,” aeri asks as she notices your eyes skimming over your phone. “it’s jimin, she wants to meet at the library later today,” you answer.
y/n
hi, jimin.
i’m free. i’ll see you then.
“ugh, i don’t want to go,” you complain to aeri.
“y/n, are you hearing yourself?” your best friend gives you a deadpan look, “this paper is worth more than half of our final grade. if you fail this paper, you’re going to fail the class.”
the weight of her words sinks in, and you're reminded of the possible consequences of not taking the paper seriously. of course, you knew that you had no choice but to go and work with the infamous volleyball team captain. while you were still quite mortified from your earlier interaction with her, you didn’t want to fail out of college just yet.
only the distant hum of quiet conversations and the faint rustle of pages moving could be heard as you enter the library.
as you weave your way through the bookshelves toward the back, you finally lay eyes on the person you were looking for. jimin is focused on whatever content is displayed on her laptop. you can't help but notice her furrowed brows and the subtle movement of her lips as she reads the text in a hushed voice. the sun's rays cast a gentle glow on the contours of her face, accentuating her features.
curse this university for having naturally well-lit buildings.
you gently tap her shoulder, careful not to startle the focused girl. you wish you could say that her expression softened the moment she turned and spotted you, but if anything, her features seemed to tighten. this was going to be a fun time.
“hi,” you say quietly to jimin as you sit down in the open chair in front of her.
"let's begin," she immediately suggests while you retrieve your laptop from your bag. "i understand that we could work on this individually in separate places since we both have access to this document, but i personally prefer collaborating face-to-face with my partner, especially for a final paper." you give a nod in agreement to jimin's proposal.
for the next hour, you and jimin discuss only the paper's details, staying firmly on the subject of your final paper. she has already outlined the content the two of you will cover, assigned each of you specific sections to write, and established a schedule for completing each part.
at one point, she asks, "what do you think? you haven't said a word about anything i’ve mentioned." her eyes remain fixed on the shared document displayed on both your screens, with a majority of the content coming from jimin.
"i mean, i'm fine with whatever," you reply. in group papers, you've never been inclined to voice your opinions or contribute ideas. don’t get it wrong, you're certainly not a freeloader, but you've never assumed the role of a group leader either.
"not even a single suggestion or comment?" she finally lifts her gaze from her laptop, locking eyes with you. you instantly break the brief eye contact you shared.
"no, i’ll give you some if i come up with any. besides, we still have 2 months ahead to tackle this paper," you explain, trying to reason with her. she releases a deep sigh and shifts her focus back to her laptop.
she clearly isn't your biggest fan.
"i think that's all we should do today. we've got a solid plan in place, and we can use the upcoming days to gradually work on this paper," she informs you, sliding her laptop into her bag.
you nod, following suit and tidying up your side of the table.
"i have classes from 8 am until 3 pm back-to-back," jimin rises from her seat and pushes her chair in. "i've got volleyball practice every day of the week, starting at 4 pm, except for wednesdays and thursdays." you raise your eyebrows at the mention of her grueling schedule.
“so, we can meet at the library on wednesdays and thursdays after my last class, which is at 3 pm," she looks at you, and you get the feeling that she's not suggesting a meet-up but rather informing you that it's already arranged.
“sounds good with me, i’m free those days as well,” you inform her with the awareness that she had already assumed so.
as she turns to leave, a feeling inside you compels you to apologize for the comment you made about her to aeri in the lecture hall earlier. but before you can muster the courage to do so, she's already gone.
for the next two weeks, you and jimin meet up at the library on wednesdays and thursdays. while you still saw her during your 8 am class, she was only focused on the lecture or in conversations solely with yizhuo and minjeong. however, in the privacy of the library, your interactions with her only happen through the shared online document where your collaborative work took place.
actual conversations, if they could even be labeled as such, between the two of you were few and far between. the only topic that managed to breach the silence was the ongoing discussion about the final paper.
during lunch, you update aeri about your library sessions with jimin. between bites of food, you express your worry, "i honestly don't know how i'll survive working with her for the next two months. it's not that she's a bad partner or anything. i just feel so awkward around her, like i want to disappear into the ground every time we're in that library."
aeri raises an eyebrow and helps herself to a piece of your food. "have you ever tried having a conversation that’s not about the paper with her? maybe if you initiate something, she'll actually have a real conversation with you."
thinking about it now, you realize that you've never actually initiated a conversation with jimin throughout the weeks of meeting up. it's always been her leading the discussions about the paper while you simply go along with whatever tasks need completing.
you sigh, setting down your utensils. "she probably can't stand me."
aeri counters with an exclamation, "she doesn't even know you! besides, she's not exactly a nobody on this campus. she's likely heard worse things from others. i doubt she even remembers whatever you said, considering her only focus is volleyball and school."
"sometimes, i really hate how you're right," you grumble, starting to clean up your lunch.
aeri smirks, taking the last bite of her food. "which is pretty much all the time."
with aeri’s words in mind, you walk into the library a little bit after 3 pm to where you and jimin sat. as per usual, jimin was already there with her laptop out, typing away.
"hey," you say in a hushed tone as you sit down. "i swung by the campus cafe before heading here and picked up a little something for you." you hold out a brown paper bag across the table, containing a warm muffin.
"food isn't allowed in the library," she remarks, not even lifting her gaze from her laptop.
you inhale sharply, feeling your cheeks flush with embarrassment. before you can pull your arm back, she reaches for the bag.
"but still, thank you. i'll save this for later," jimin looks up and offers you a nod with a ghost of a smile on her lips. “let’s get to work.”
around 30 minutes pass by and the silence has enveloped the two of you as it usually does in your meetings.
you stop your typing, that familiar feeling in your stomach urging you to break the silence. you find yourself wondering, what's the point? like aeri mentioned, jimin has probably heard worse things, and once this paper is finished, she'll likely forget all about you. after all, you're just another face in the crowd to her.
from the corner of your eye, you catch jimin glancing your way, noticing your sudden pause and distant expression.
“y/n,” she calls out, her voice pulling you back to the present moment.
you snap your attention to her. “yes?” you shake your head in an attempt to stop being swallowed by your thoughts. “did you say something?”
she raises an eyebrow, her gaze attentive. “that was the fifth time i tried getting your attention. are you alright?” you want to believe that there’s some sort of concern behind her question rather than just an act of common human decency.
“oh, yeah. my bad. i’m just tired. didn’t get much sleep last night,” you excuse. it wasn’t the truth but it wasn’t a complete lie either.
“that’s understandable, this semester is crazy,” jimin replies to you turning her focus back to her laptop.
"you're probably having the craziest semester out of any student here on campus," you remark, surprising yourself with the sudden courage to continue the conversation.
"what makes you say that?" jimin pauses in her work to look at you.
"i mean, i may not have the best knowledge of university sports, but even i know that being a team captain isn’t necessarily an easy responsibility. much less being the captain of a team with a national championship title under its belt," you explain. "plus, you have back-to-back classes from 8 am to 3 pm every day, and i assume you’re doing well in them, given the quality of your work in our shared class alone."
she lets out a quiet laugh - that was the first time you've heard it. "are you sure you’re not just making wild assumptions?"
your palms start to get sweaty, and you feel like you’ve definitely made a mistake. "i’m sorry-"
"i’m just joking," jimin interrupts you. "it’s absolutely not an easy schedule, but if you have to do it, you find a way. yizhuo and minjeong help me out a lot too."
"what do you mean 'have' to?" you silently curse at yourself for prying into her personal life.
"this is the most i’ve heard you talk, y/n," jimin says to you.
"i could say the same to you," you reply. "but, uh, don’t answer if you don’t want to, or if it’s too pers-"
jimin interrupts you once more. "it’s okay. i don’t mind. i prefer when people actually want to get to know me rather than making crazy assumptions that aren't true at all."
a twinge of guilt washes over you. even though you're disconnected from the campus social life, jimin's reputation has managed to reach your ears. many things have been circulated about her – from her attitude to her accolades, and even details about her love life, none of which appeared positive.
"back when i was younger," jimin begins, her vulnerability taking you by surprise, "my parents pushed me incredibly hard to excel in school. naturally, like most parents, they had aspirations for my success. they enrolled me in after-school tutoring to make sure i did better than all the kids in my grade. they also encouraged me to choose an extracurricular activity so that i’m not always buried in books. that's when i chose volleyball, obviously."
you absorb each word she says, intent on not missing a single one. here was yu jimin herself, an enigma of existence - simultaneously adored and despised. and now, right before you, she opens up and shares her story. the reason for her trust in you to this extent, allowing herself to be vulnerable, confuses you, yet you don’t mind at all.
“i have an older sister. she’s a hotshot lawyer now. she did well in high school and did very well in college unsurprisingly,” jimin shares and you notice a gleam of admiration in her eyes. “our parents never compared us to one another and we’re actually really close. besides yizhuo and minjeong, she’s one of the few people i can call my best friend.” you nod as she continues telling her story.
"my parents stopped pushing me so hard in high school," jimin continues, her eyes fixed on you to see if you’re still listening. you are. "they believed that i needed to find motivation within myself and take charge of my actions so that i wouldn't become overly dependent on them."
"so, no, my origin story isn't about parental pressure or living up to my sister's achievements. i believe i have to do well because... i want to. i have this belief that i'm destined for greatness, so i'll dedicate everything i can to achieving it,” jimin’s gaze turns serious. “even if it means having to deal with people who want to spread nasty rumors about me.”
you sit there in silent awe. you realize jimin was your complete opposite. jimin embodies a sense of ambition and dedication that you rarely exhibit. while you've often approached situations with passivity, avoiding confrontation, jimin radiates an unwavering pursuit of her goals.
the aspiration for greatness was something unfamiliar to you. your goals were straightforward – passing your classes, securing a well-paying job for the future, ensuring financial stability, and enjoying the company of your friends. as long as you had that, you were more than happy.
"what about you, y/n?" jimin's question breaks the quiet focus, both your laptops now lowered.
"what do you mean?" you ask, the confusion apparent on your face.
"i just shared something quite personal and vulnerable about myself. wouldn't it be fair for you to do the same?" jimin replies casually.
pausing, you contemplate your response. "i don't think i truly know myself."
jimin arches an eyebrow at your revelation. "what i mean is, i'm not sure who i am. throughout most of my life, i've mostly gone along with aeri, letting her lead me to new places and experiences. but i haven't really discovered a genuine passion for anything."
"i realize now how sad that sounds, especially to you, considering you're the complete opposite of that description," you continue, your voice steady. "but, despite it all, i'm still leading a pretty happy life. i've come this far, haven't i?"
jimin responds to your rhetorical question, her tone measured and thoughtful. "just because our ideals differ doesn't mean i can't accept your perspective. it's called empathy, y/n. i don't need to share your beliefs to understand where you’re coming from."
in that very moment, you feel the foundation of your assumptions about jimin, based on the rumors, begin to crumble.
"life isn't a competition, and you're absolutely right. if you're content and your actions aren't causing harm, doesn't that define a good life in itself?" jimin's words resonate with you.
as the sunset's warm glow graces jimin’s face, you find yourself thinking about how this girl in front of you has it all. no wonder she’s the topic of everyone’s conversations. her beauty is undeniable, she’s intellectually sharp, athletically skilled - she personifies an array of qualities that capture attention.
"thanks, jimin. your words mean a lot," you express, hoping she can hear the sincerity in your voice. "i've been wondering about something, though."
jimin responds, her curiosity piqued. "what's on your mind?"
"why did you feel so comfortable sharing that part of your life with me? don't get me wrong, i'm more than happy to listen, but we're practically strangers, and you opened up to me so easily."
jimin's gaze shifts toward the expansive windows. "like i mentioned earlier, it's a refreshing feeling when someone genuinely wants to know about my life, rather than blindly believing all those damaging rumors. believe me, i've heard them all, and most are far from pleasant."
before you could give her a reply, the librarian approaches your table. "excuse me, ladies. the library will be closing in 10 minutes. it's a good idea to start wrapping up and make your way back to your dorms," she advises with a warm smile, then walks away.
over the weeks you’ve been meeting with jimin in the library, you gradually get to know each other better. your talks shift from just focusing on the paper to real conversations. occasionally, you even end up talking more than working.
you find out that jimin is a big fan of anime. one of her favorites is "assassination classroom," and it made her cry. you’ve watched it before too, making you sob your heart out into your pillow after finishing it.
with a slight smile pulling at the corner of her lips, jimin confesses, "i've never really had the chance to explore many hobbies outside of volleyball. but i've always used anime to unwind and relax.”
you also learn more about her sister – you can't miss how her eyes light up whenever she talks about her. you discover that she has terrible eyesight and wears contacts every day since it would be impractical to wear glasses to volleyball practice.
you begin feeling a sense of connection as she opens up to you about her interests and her life. it's a side of her you never expected to see – a vulnerable, relatable side that defies the rumors and preconceptions you once held.
in return, you find that jimin learns more about you. you share that you and aeri have been best friends since childhood. during one conversation, you share a memorable experience from your past: the time you and aeri got lost on a mountain during a family vacation hike.
"how are you both still alive?" jimin questions, her words laced with a mix of humor and genuine shock.
"to this day, we still have no idea," you reply, chuckling at the expression on her face.
she learns that you’re an avid film watcher after you start giving her detailed film recommendations when she asked you what would be a good movie to watch for a girls night in with yizhuo and minjeong.
as you walk from your dorm to your 8 am class, which you share with aeri, jimin, and her friends, you pass by a group of students. normally, you would quickly walk past them, not caring about the nonsense they'd be talking about. however, that changed when they mentioned someone you knew.
"did you guys hear that jimin is sleeping with her best friend's ex behind her back?" the person who seemed to be the ringleader of the group shared, as the other students around them snickered. "isn't she such a backstabbing bitch? i also heard that the only reason she got a perfect score on that exam that everyone else failed was that she slept with that professor."
you slow your steps, listening to the lies spewing from their mouths. over the past weeks, you've learned so much about jimin, enough to know that none of what they're saying is true. you're extremely aggravated at their words. plus, who the hell has this much energy to be so negative even before 8 in the morning?
a part of you wants to ignore it and walk into your class. that would be the easiest option. haven't you always liked your life that way - easy and devoid of confrontation?
which is why you're extremely shocked when you find yourself standing in front of the instigator, going head-to-head with them.
"excuse me? have you ever heard of personal space?" they snide, making the other students around them laugh as well.
"have you ever heard of shutting the fuck up and minding your own business?” you don't know why, but the next sensation you register is solid bone connecting with your knuckles, knocking the ringleader out.
"does anyone have anything else to say?" you say through gritted teeth, the ache in your knuckles resonating alongside the rapid thumping of your heart.
the mouths of the students around the unconscious ringleader drop. before anyone can say anything, you hear someone's voice.
"y/n!" aeri yells and grabs your arm, dragging you away from the group of students and into a private hallway near the lecture hall. next to her is her partner for the paper, yizhuo, along with minjeong and, of course, jimin herself.
"what happened?" asks one person from the group. you're unsure who.
"are you okay?" says another person - you still don't know who's talking.
"why did you do that?" questions a third voice. you're wondering the same thing. everything was blurry, and it felt like you couldn't breathe. your chest was heavy, and the burning sensation in your knuckles was bothering you beyond words.
it's so early, just 8 in the morning, and here you were, out of your mind. they help you sit down on a bench.
"you three go to class," the fourth voice tells the others. "i'll handle this."
"are you sure?" you register a figure nod at the question and then hear footsteps walking away from where you were.
"y/n, you need to take deep breaths and calm down, okay? you're safe. nothing bad is going to happen to you right now," the voice assures. their words help you see clearly again.
with a shaky voice, you ask, "jimin? what are you doing here? you're going to be late for class."
"the lowest grade i’ve made in that class for the whole semester was a 98, i'm sure i can miss one lecture," she says jokingly, and you notice she's trying to lighten the atmosphere. "i never knew you had a solid punch like that."
"i didn't either," you let out a breath of disbelief. "something just came over me, and i couldn't stop myself."
"what happened? that's probably the last thing i thought you'd do," jimin asks, holding your hands to steady them, with a much looser grip on the injured one that you used to knock that annoying student out.
a moment passes before you try to explain. "they were talking... about you," you hesitate. jimin raises an eyebrow. "that person was saying terrible things about you, and they were all lies!" your voice gets louder. "all lies, jimin."
"i might not be yizhuo or minjeong, but after getting to know you these past 2 months, i felt like i had to do something. i wanted to defend you, even though you probably didn't need it," you ramble, not stopping. jimin listens carefully.
"i couldn't just walk away. i usually would, but... i couldn’t this time. they were saying horrible lies. it was so wrong," you exhale deeply, realizing you were holding your breath. "i hated hearing that about my friend."
before you can apologize for assuming your closeness, jimin's lips curl into a smile. "thanks, y/n. i really appreciate you standing up for me. i really do."
she looks you in the eyes, and you can feel the gratitude radiating from her. "i've grown thick skin to the rumors, and they don't bother me as much as they used to when i first started hearing about them, so you don't need to worry about me."
"still, i'm very grateful to know that i have a friend like you who would defend me to that extent. but next time, just ignore them. i wouldn't want you getting expelled from the university just because of those lifeless losers," she smiles at you, and you feel a tug on your heart.
you nod, not sure what to say. "my hand hurts so bad," you manage a laugh despite the pain.
"let's get you an ice pack from the clinic," jimin helps you up, going with you. she holds your hand all the way until the clinic staff hands you an ice pack, but you're too focused on your hurting hand to notice.
that day, jimin learns that while you label yourself as non-confrontational and passive, you’re empathetic, loyal, and kind.
you meet up with aeri in the cafeteria for lunch. she glances at your bruised hand and the icepack you hold in the other hand.
“hey, y/n, is your dad a boxer? because you’re a total knockout!” aeri laughs at her own joke.
“you’re not getting any of my lunch today,” you say with feigned annoyance.
“no! i’m sorry!”
the realization comes at you out of nowhere while you're in the library with jimin, finalizing the remaining parts of the paper. as you steal a glance over the edge of your laptop, you observe jimin with furrowed brows, her tongue peeking out in concentration, and her glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. she tells you its because she couldn’t find her contacts this morning.
it’s raining outside with dark and gloomy skies, casting a dim ambiance over the library. despite it all, jimin shines in your eyes. it’s been like this ever since the incident. you’re extremely thankful that no person of authority caught wind of the situation. you're even more appreciative that despite the confrontation that led to you knocking out a fellow student, you weren’t expelled.
jimin has always possessed a beauty that captivates you. but now, you couldn’t see anyone else but her. whenever you're with her, your heart races, your hands sweat, and your stomach twists. you're not sure why. it's an uncomfortable feeling, yet you don't hate it. instead, you welcome it. you swear you can feel her eyes on you at times. or maybe it’s just sleep deprivation.
it’s when she calls your name, "y/n," you lift your gaze, meeting her eyes. they shine brightly despite the darkness in the building, her hair framing her face exquisitely. "i really liked your latest addition to our paper. i think it really captures what dr. kim is looking for," she says, a smile gracing her lips. in that moment, that’s when it hits you.
she really liked your work and you really liked jimin.
“aeri, i don’t know what to do," you muffle into your pillow. the two of you are currently in your dorm, a space free of roommates thanks to your parents' decision to splurge a little.
"just tell her you like her," aeri offers a solution to your current dilemma, as if it's the simplest thing in the world.
"that's insane. i could never do that!" you shift onto your back, still laying in bed, and glance at aeri, who's absorbed in her phone and helping herself to snacks from your fridge.
"that's not insane. you want to know what's insane? walking up to a stranger and knocking them out before 8 in the morning. that's insane," aeri retorts.
you toss a pillow at her, not truly irritated because her point was pretty valid.
"y/n, just be honest with her. if she feels the same, great! if not, it's not the end of everything," aeri speaks with sincerity, finally raising her gaze. deep down, you acknowledge that aeri's advice is good, great even. it's also the most sensible approach.
you don’t listen to it at all.
with less than a week left before the final paper's due date, you have two more library meetings with jimin and see her in your english class every tuesday and thursday. despite these many chances to talk to her, you try to completely avoid her.
you fail in doing so. although you avoid her eyes during the 8 am class, rushing out with aeri to prevent any conversations, the final paper still needs to be finished.
this meeting feels reminiscent of the initial paper discussions, where conversations centered solely on the final paper. you avoid looking at her, which is out of the ordinary since you spent most of these meetings simply looking at her.
"are you okay?" jimin's face shows concern, her question directed at you.
"yeah, just feeling tired," you respond with the same excuse. it’s become a reflex at this point.
“alright,” jimin replies to what you assume was the end of the conversation. “so, can you tell me why you’re avoiding me?” damn.
“what do you mean?” you try and play it dumb, but even you couldn’t believe yourself.
"i'm not stupid, y/n. why are you so distant all of a sudden? i thought we'd moved past that after all this time," jimin studies you, her expression unyielding.
you quickly attempt to come up with a lie. "i'm sorry, jimin. i've just been swamped with finals from other classes, and my grades are really low. i need to do well on them to avoid failing," you deliver the excuse, hoping it sounds convincing enough.
fortunately, jimin seems to believe it, her expression easing. "i’m sorry for assuming it had something to do with me. i'm used to being at the center of problems most of the time,” there’s a hint of playfulness in her tone, an attempt to lighten the atmosphere.
guilt engulfs you as you face her. you're strongly tempted to just tell her the truth.
"no need to apologize, jimin. it's not your fault at all. it's mine for procrastinating on my other assignments," you offer a smile.
that night, you struggle to fall asleep as you overthink the potential outcomes of confessing - or not confessing - your feelings for jimin. the most extreme scenario that haunts your mind is her hating you and refusing to speak to you ever again. you don’t sleep at all that night.
you're standing in line at the campus cafe, desperately in need of a caffeine boost before your 8 am class. your phone displays aeri's message specifying the coffee she wants. you try to blink away the sleepiness with little success.
"y/n?" a tap on your shoulder startles you, and you turn to find yizhuo and minjeong behind you in line.
momentarily taken aback, you don't respond immediately, processing which one of them tapped you.
"you look like you got run over by a truck. are you okay?" yizhuo's concern is evident.
"yiz, you can't just say that! i'm sorry, she doesn't mean it negatively, i promise," minjeong interjects, playfully slapping yizhuo's shoulder.
despite your fatigue, a soft chuckle escapes you at their antics. "it's alright, i understand. i pulled an all-nighter last night studying for an upcoming exam." the lies come more easily now.
"oh, yeah. jimin's told us that you've been working hard lately," yizhuo shares, prompting you to raise an eyebrow. jimin talks about you?
"jimin always talks about you! we had a movie night last weekend, and she made us watch a film because she said you recommended it," minjeong adds, causing a blush to rise to your cheeks.
"how did you guys like it?" you ask, still surprised that jimin talks about you.
"we loved it. you have really good taste!" yizhuo's enthusiasm is unexpected, especially before 8 am.
"you and aeri should join us one of these nights. jimin would love to have you over. maybe after finals or after our game on friday? we can order pizza and snacks for dinner," minjeong suggests.
“plus, it can be be a little celebration for submitting dr. kim’s final paper and surviving her class,” yizhuo adds.
minjeong's invitation sounds far more appealing than your usual friday night, which typically involves binge-watching anime or kdramas in your dorm, sometimes with aeri if she doesn't have a party to attend. "sounds great, just text me the details."
finally at the cashier, you place orders for both your coffee and aeri's coffee. after a short wait, you receive your drinks and wait for yizhuo and minjeong. together, you enter your 8 am english class and send a small smile toward jimin before taking your seat next to aeri at the back.
today marks your final meeting with jimin in the library for this paper. the paper is fully completed, and the only task left is proofreading the sections.
"jimin, i have a question," you begin.
"about the paper?" she looks up from her laptop, meeting your gaze. you still can’t decide if her love for eye contact is a blessing or a curse.
"no, not about the paper. i just want some advice."
"oh?"
"it's nothing too heavy, i promise." you briefly glance down at your laptop's keyboard before returning your attention to her. "have you ever felt scared?"
"many times, yes," she replies. "but i thought you said this wasn't going to get heavy?" jimin's tone carries a playful note.
"it won't! i was just curious… how do you get over fear?" you ask earnestly.
"well, if i’m scared and it's a matter of my own safety, i avoid it. i have too much to live for," jimin senses the seriousness in your tone and tries to lighten the mood. "but if the fear stems from the possibility of failing or not achieving something, i tend to just disregard it and overcome it."
"if i let fear dictate my actions every time, i wouldn't be here today. i probably wouldn't have even picked up a volleyball. i might've dropped out the moment people started saying hurtful things about me," jimin muses, delving deep into thought.
"yes, certain things can be scary, but it's scarier to miss out on opportunities because fear is holding you back," jimin concludes her response.
a moment of silence passes. "you could give a ted talk with answers like that," you quip.
she playfully swats your hand. "finish proofreading your sections. we're almost done with this paper."
two hours pass, and you lean back in your chair. "i close my eyes, and all i see are punctuation marks," you groan.
"well, here's some good news. we can email this to dr. kim tomorrow during her office hours and officially put our final paper for this class behind us," jimin's enthusiasm is evident.
"so, no more library meetings, huh?" you sit up straight.
"no, but we'll still be seeing each other often. are you coming to movie night tomorrow?" jimin questions, tidying up her side of the table.
"i am," you reply, closing your laptop.
"don't tell me you plan on treating me like a stranger after we submit this paper," jimin jokes, standing up and collecting her bag.
"i would never," you respond.
she chuckles at your remark before reaching into her bag. "are you hungry?"
you walk alongside jimin. "a bit. i'm heading to aeri's dorm for dinner. she cooked japanese food for us."
"i'd think you two were roommates," jimin tells you as she pulls a brown paper bag from her backpack.
"well, considering how often she's at my place, i can see why. but no, we're not. she lives right across the hall," you explain.
"here," she hands you the paper bag. "take this. the girls and i went to an off-campus restaurant for lunch earlier, and i thought of getting you something as a small thank you."
"thank you? for what?" you inquire while accepting the bag.
"for being an amazing partner on this paper, of course. i've got to go. yiz and i have plans. i'll text you tomorrow about when to submit the paper," she informs you.
assuming she's about to walk in the opposite direction, jimin surprises you by enveloping you in a warm hug. naturally, you reciprocate.
"i'll see you tomorrow!" jimin calls out, walking out of your sight.
at aeri’s dorm, you devour the food that she’s prepared for you. “this is so good. have i ever told you that i’m so glad you’re my best friend?” you tell her through bites of food.
“only when i cook for you. now, close your mouth and chew properly. i don’t know how to do the heimlich maneuver.” aeri looks at the brown paper bag by your feet and points to it. “what’s that?”
“i think it’s a dessert or something that jimin got me.” you notice the look on aeri’s face. “don’t even start. it was just a little thank you for helping on that final paper.”
“i didn’t say anything. i might need to get yiz a little something too, considering what a great partner she's been," she teases
“ugh, whatever.” you finish your meal and share the slice of cake jimin got you with aeri.
later that night, as you lie in bed, jimin's words echo in your mind.
fear holds you back. fear holds you back. fear holds you back.
you open your eyes to the grating sound of your alarm the next morning and see a notification from jimin.
yu jimin
hey, good morning
just a reminder to email your copy of the paper to dr. kim at 8 am!
have a great day ahead :)
y/n
good morning
will do
have a great day as well
before you leave your dorm, you open your laptop and schedule send your copy of the final paper to dr. kim for 8 am.
making your way to class, you spot a poster on a campus bulletin board.
"i think fearless is having fears but jumping anyway." huh? your confusion lessens as you realize it's an ad for the swiftie club on campus. you can't help but question why they'd position their ad right next to jimin's volleyball photo.
before entering the lecture hall for your biology class, another banner catches your eye.
"do not be afraid." what's with all these posters? you realize you hadn't finished reading it. "do not be afraid… to join us in the bible study club!" why do all these clubs insist on placing their endorsements next to the volleyball team's photos?
you could barely focus during the biology lecture, only hearing fragments of the professor's words. that is, until the professor singles you out, "miss y/n, why are you afraid?"
"excuse me, professor?" to say you're surprised would be an understatement.
"i asked you a question," the professor's expression turns unpleasant. "why do cells degrade?" there's no doubt you're losing your mind.
thankful that you won't see jimin until later, you use your free time to calm down and regain your composure.
walking through the university building's halls, you accidentally collide with an enthusiastic student. "have you ever been rejected?"
"what?" you react with genuine surprise.
"we're conducting a focus group discussion for our thesis on people who've experienced rejection. if you fit the criteria, your participation would be appreciated," the student hands you a pamphlet.
"oh, no thank you." you brush past the dejected student. spotting an empty hallway bench, you sit down, putting your head into your hands. it's as if you're spiraling into insanity.
what exactly are you afraid of? rejection? embarrassment?
all your life you’ve done nothing but run away from your problems. always finding the easy way out of everything. you’ve never wanted to face any problem or challenge head-on, deeming them unworthy of the trouble and effort.
lifting your head from your hands, you slump into the bench, trying to break free from your unhealthy mindset.
that’s when the realization finally comes to you.
jimin is worth it. she's worth every bit of trouble in the world. she's worth every second of your time. she's worth it all.
you rise from the bench, your feet moving faster than your brain. inside the university gymnasium, students stream out of the volleyball courts, signaling the end of the game. quickly heading to the back where the locker rooms are, you spot minjeong outside.
"y/n? what brings you here? i didn't see you during the game," minjeong questions, looking at your disheveled appearance.
breathless, you hadn't realized you were running. "not at the game…" you struggle for air, "jimin…" you hunch over, attempting to regulate your breathing. "where?"
minjeong places a hand on your back. "before you go looking for her, make sure you don't faint right now," she advises. it's amusing, really, the volleyball player who just finished a game telling you to relax.
"she's in the back of the locker room. she's alone in there since everyone else quickly left because it’s a friday night," minjeong informs you. "only athletes are allowed inside." a frustrated groan escapes you. "however, if it's important, i can pretend i never saw you go in," minjeong adds, a sly smile forming on her lips.
you've never set foot in the locker room before. the idea of being here seemed distant, even impossible. yet, you continue forward until you spot the one person who's been on your mind since the very first conversation.
"y/n? how did you manage to get in?" jimin's voice carries a mix of surprise and curiosity.
you're thankful for minjeong's advice to catch your breath. "minjeong let me in." jimin's face is flushed, an unmistakable sign that she gave her all on the court. despite the disheveled hair and the sheen of sweat, she remains the most beautiful person you've ever seen.
"what are you doing here?" jimin stands from the bench, turning toward you.
"i needed to tell you something, and i couldn't hold it back."
"what is it-"
"wait. let me say this all before you say anything else, or i might just black out and forget everything." you inhale deeply. "throughout my life, i've let fear dictate my choices. i've been nothing more than a coward. i couldn’t even take a stance in a tiktok argument. confrontation scared me, and i felt like i could never handle it."
"i was always scared," you press on, sensing jimin's eyes on you. "until i met you and got to know you." your mouth feels dry. "there are so many things i want to say, but i don't want it to sound corny," you chuckle, noticing jimin's smile forming.
"through you, i've learned the worth of ambition and dedication. you've shown me that fear is something that can help you become the person you want to be, not stop you from becoming it," you pause, then continue, "you've given me a new perspective i never thought i could ever have."
“i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to talk this long,” you feel relieved as you see jimin laugh with you.
letting out a breath you didn’t know you were holding, “i like you, jimin. i have feelings for you.”
a beat passes and she doesn’t say anything. each second that goes by, you feel the dread within you grow more and more. as you were about to open your mouth to apologize, you feel jimin grab your arm. in the hush that follows your confession, you feel a rush of nerves coursing through your veins. jimin's grip on your arm is firm yet strangely comforting, and her intense gaze never wavers from yours.
jimin's lips form into a gentle smile. "you really caught me off guard, y/n," she admits, her voice carrying a mixture of surprise and something you dare to hope might be fondness.
your lips quirk into a sheepish grin, your heart beginning to settle from the initial anxiety. "yeah, sorry about that. i didn't exactly plan to pour my heart out in the locker room."
jimin chuckles softly, her fingers lightly squeezing your arm. "well, i appreciate your honesty. it takes a lot of courage to say what you just did."
the warmth of her smile and the sincerity in her eyes encourage you. "you've been my inspiration for stepping out of my comfort zone," you confess, your voice steadier now. "i realized that i can't let fear hold me back anymore."
jimin's thumb draws a little pattern on your arm, sending shivers down your spine. "i'm glad to hear that. and you know what, y/n?" her gaze intensifies, a spark of playfulness dancing in her eyes. "i think it's only fair that i tell you something too."
your curiosity piques, your heart racing once again. "what is it?"
jimin's smile turns tender, and she takes a step closer, her free hand lifting to brush a strand of hair behind your ear. "i like you too, y/n. more than you can imagine."
you’re not afraid anymore. with a gentle yet firm pull, you bring her even closer to you. with a surge of courage, you close the distance between your lips.
the kiss is gentle, tentative at first, as if both of you are savoring the reality of this long-awaited moment. jimin's lips are soft and warm against yours, and her fingers find their way to your cheek, holding you tenderly. your heart thrums in your chest, the world around you fading into a distant blur.
as the kiss deepens, the initial hesitance transforms into unspoken understanding. lips meld with lips, sending electric sensations through your veins. it's an intertwining of emotions and desires, a connection formed by your honest words and the silent longing that brought you to this moment.
when you finally pull away, your breaths mingle in the space between you. jimin's eyes are half-lidded, her lips still just a whisper away from yours. "i think you’re braver than you thought," she mumbles, her voice laced with newfound intimacy.
you share a breathless chuckle, your forehead resting against hers. “to be honest, i didn’t even think i’d make it this far.”
“are you guys done?” minjeong yells from the entrance of the locker room. “i’m hungry!”
both you and jimin share a laugh at minjeong. you reach for her bag and proceed to walk out of the locker room, your hands intertwined comfortably. together, you make your way to yizhuo's dorm, where aeri had already joined.
the soft glow of the television screen in the living room casts a gentle illumination on you and jimin, who are cozily seated on the couch. your hands are intertwined beneath a comfortable blanket, and a bowl of popcorn rests between you. the film playing on the screen has captured your undivided attention, while jimin is having trouble deciding either to watch the movie or you instead.
aeri and minjeong stand together at a distance, with yizhuo in her kitchen. the trio is busy preparing the remaining food to be served later in the night.
"i can't believe y/n actually did it. i can't believe your idea actually worked, minjeong," aeri whispers to the two girls.
"it was only a matter of time. i couldn't stand hearing jimin talk about her endlessly, looking like an oblivious lovesick puppy that was kicked onto the street," minjeong rolls her eyes at the memory of her friend. "i'm glad she finally admitted it to herself too."
"it wasn't minjeong's idea at all! it was my idea to go to the campus cafe that morning when you told us she'd be there," yizhuo points out. "plus, let's not take any credit from y/n. we may have given her some hope that jimin liked her, but at the end of the day, she was the one who made the move." aeri and minjeong nod, agreeing with yizhuo’s points.
“how’d you even know y/n was going to be at the cafe before class, aeri?” minjeong asks, finishing plating the dishes.
“she texted me she couldn’t sleep and asked if i wanted coffee before our 8 am class at 4 in the morning that day,” aeri explains.
“makes sense,” yizhuo points out.
the three girls make their way over to where you and jimin are seated, each holding plates of food in their hands. aeri takes the seat next to you, while minjeong and yizhuo settle on the floor amidst pillows and blankets, arranging the plates.
your gaze occasionally shifts from the movie playing to the people around you. there's a sense of contentment in this simple act – being in each other's presence, a shared moment that speaks volumes beyond words. back then, it was difficult for you to decide what you wanted and even what to think. now, looking around, you know for sure what you want.
you turn to face jimin when she squeezes your hand under the blanket. here she was, in all her glory.
you inch closer to her, resting your head on her shoulder. despite the gentle embrace of that moment, an urge runs through you - to dismantle each and every single dreadful rumor about jimin. she was more than just the petty and nasty words of thoughtless individuals who thrived on idle gossip.
in your eyes, she embodied all that was beautiful and kind in the world. with her by your side, fear dissolved into insignificance, its grip over you gone.
“i really like you,” you whisper, only for her to hear.
“i know. i really like you too,” she whispers back to you.

now playing - get to know you by tomo nakayama
Pairing: Karina x Fem!Reader
Idol: Yu Jimin (Aespa)
Warning(s): None!
You and your group were attending an award show and now that it was coming to a close, you figured you could go search for one of your friends. With your busy schedule, you haven’t had time to personally interact with your fellow idol friends, so it seemed like the perfect time.
You made your way to the waiting rooms, bowing and smiling as you passed by your seniors. You were looking for Yuna, a member of Itzy and a close friend of yours. She had texted you and informed you where she would meet you.
It didn’t take long until you approached where she said to be, prompting you to scope the area for her. There were so many idols passing through that is was hard to get a clear view, but you spotted at girl with long, dark hair in the distance. A rush of relief washed over you, convinced that you had finally found her, and you began making your way over.
It was a bit of a struggle navigating through everyone but you managed. Usually, you would greet Yuna with a back hug when she wasn’t paying attention, but decided against it since you were in a public setting and wouldn’t want to startle her, instead tapping the person, who you presumed was Yuna, on her shoulder.
To your surprise, the person turned around, and it wasn't Yuna but rather someone else that you have not personally met. Your eyes widened and your cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
“I’m so sorry!” You quickly stammered an apology, bowing as you took a step back. The girl seemed more startled at your apology than coming face to face with someone she didn’t know. “I thought you were someone else..” You spoke sheepishly, looking down and avoiding any possible eye contact with the beauty in front of you
You were standing in front of Karina, the charismatic and enchanting leader of Aespa. The fact that you were this close in proximity with her didn’t help ease your nerves in the slightest. You hardly interacted with her due to your contrast in schedules, so there was a slim chance for you guys to actually become friends. She was one of your seniors and you did look up to her group. Would you consider yourself a fan? Yeah, you could say that.
Once you actually looked back up, you were met with a reassuring smile. Karina’s warm smile illuminated her face as she looked into your eyes, her gaze filled with intrigue. She had seen your group a few times, and you’ve caught her eye every time. She’d even consider herself a fan as well, which you were unaware of.
“It’s not too late to get to know me.” She responded, her voice carrying a hint of playfulness. Her words caught you off guard, and you found yourself momentarily captivated by her presence.
Feeling a mix of nervousness and curiosity, you averted your gaze, unable to hold her intense stare. Your heart pounded in your chest as you mustered the courage to respond, "I...uh...I'd love to get to know you!"
Karina's smile widened at your response, clearly satisfied with it. “I don’t think we’ll have much time right now, but-“ Her sentence was cut short when you suddenly held your phone out in front of her, it already being on the contact screen. The leader giggled at your behavior, accepting your phone and entering her digits and name.
Your smile grew as you took your phone back, feeling giddy at the fact that you got her number. The latter opened her mouth to say something, but was yet again interrupted by the call of her name. She turned around to look for the source, spotting it almost instantaneously. It was her manager. Sighing, she turned back to you. As much as she would’ve loved to talk to you a little more, that time would have to come later.
“Text me?” You eagerly nodded your head, clutching your phone tight in your hand. You both said your farewells, bowing politely before turning the opposite away. As soon as you turned around, a sudden collision disrupted your blissful state. Yuna, with her usual mischievous grin, had stopped you from falling by holding your shoulders firmly.
"Pretty girl got you losing your sense of direction?" Yuna teased, causing your cheeks to flush out of embarrassment. “It seems so..” You replied sheepishly, refusing to meet your friend’s eyes and earning a giggle in return. Yuna released her grip, but not without playfully poking your cheek.
"Be careful next time, or I might not be here to catch you." She wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer with a knowing smile. You jokingly rolled your eyes, poking her side in response. You both couldn’t help but laugh as you went on your way, finding the whole situation amusing.
A/N: This was just a little something short to post. I felt like it was time for me to finally post something related to Karina..
