I really want to be a Kid fan. He has a sick character design, cool powers, and the rock/punk/metal aesthetic is right up my alley, but the way Oda has written him is just not working for me. In his first appearance and a few afterwards, he showed such cool potential to be more than just... whatever role he serves now in the story. Idk. I'd need a whole separate post to explain my thoughts about him, but maybe they'll change in the future. AND HE KEEPS FUMBLING/FAILING HIS HOT WIFE (KILLER). KID, YOU LOSER, TREAT KILLER BETTER.

Quite a bit, I criticize Oda's story choices, especially his frequent use of fake out character deaths and his unwillingness to put characters through realistic consequences of their actions. BUT I WILL HYPOCRITICALLY FORGIVE ALL OF THAT AND PRAISE ONE PIECE AS THE BEST ANIME OF ALL TIME IF HE BROUGHT CORA BACK. I WOULDN'T QUESTION HOW. IT COULD BE POWER OF LOVE/FRIENDSHIP BULLSHIT OR A CLICHE AMNESIA PLOT. I. DON'T. CARE. JUST BRING HIM BACK LIKE YOU DO EVERYONE ELSE. 😭😭😭😭❤️‍🔥
