Update: currently I have been quiet on tumblr as I have been out of country for the past week in disney world. During my visit I have had a fee theories pop up into my head that I would love to share when I get back.

𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓵𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓚𝓷𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽: 𝓐 𝓢𝓲𝓵𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓵𝔂𝓼𝓲𝓼

𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐

Its finally here my character analysis on Silver from twisted wonderland, sorry it took so long as I wanted to take my time since Silver is one of my favorite characters in TWST. 

That aside lets take a deeper look of the knight of dreams (fair warning there is some chapter 7 spoilers)

𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚

It there is anything to note about Silver is his love for him family, this includes Lilia, Sebek and Malleus. It is noted that Silver has a deep care for his family members throughout multiple stories, such has when Silver found out about not being related to Lila by blood and he ran off into the woods. 

It is shown that Silver hardly gets frustrated or lashes out at any of his family members which also includes Sebek, who often points out silver flaws or the fact he was abandoned at birth. If anything Silver treats Sebek as if he is a younger brother to him, even being quoted saying “It wouldn’t be incorrect to assume we are brothers” (Silver birthday boy story). 

Although he does care about his family, Silver also feels indebted to them. In his Halloween story, Silver becomes worried of the thought of Lilia or Malleus passing away or going separate ways with them. As he only ever saw his life as to be serving them until he passes on. This is also mention in chapter 7 as Silver breaks down into tears about Lilia dying and how he has never done anything to help him or give back.

This brings up the possibly that Silver feels guilty for everything Lilia gave him and never being able to give anything in return and here he is about to lose his father at a young age. 

This can be boiled down even more to the fact Silver most likely doesn’t care for himself a lot but that will be touched on later.

𝑺𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑

One of Silver’s biggest character traits is his habit of fall asleep, lots of people tend to assume Silver is fine with this. He really isn’t.

Having a whole lab story about trying to get rid of his sleeping spells which have been annoying him. Silver tries a lot of different ways of keeping himself awake, such as drinking coffee, using a pressure cooker as a alarm clock and such. 

He becomes so frustrated with his sleeping spells that he starts to blame himself for why its happening to him and that he should be doing better then this. Even though its pointed out many times in the story that Silver has no control over this.

This brings up the point of Silver has a tendencies to blame himself for inconveniences that happen to him or others around him. This can be tied to two things

1. Being raised as knight and having to live up to someone like Lilia

2. Having to hear Sebek harsh critics of him on a daily basis

Both being somewhat valid. The former being that Silver is only human being raised as a knight around fae and having a father such as Lilia to live up to. The latter being Silver and Sebek have known each other for 10 years and from the looks of it Sebek has always been critical about Silver performance as a knight and also about Silver falling asleep so much.

It wouldn’t be hard to say both have equally taken a toll on him

𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓

Silver as himself is a point to cover as well, as I pointed out before Silver doesn’t seem to take care of himself. Physically or Emotionally. Physically speaking he lets his hair grown out to the point it annoys him then he cuts it. Vil even had to gift him skincare and hair care stuff for his birthday. On the more extreme side Silver is willing to lay down his life.

He is willing to lay down his life for Malleus who is a very powerful fae who can handle his own (Malleus is so powerful that his emotions alone change the weather drastically). Silver doesn’t seem to have a grasp of this concept as he is ready to protect Malleus no matter what, even though he is human.

Emotional when Silver heard about Lilia leaving them Silver doesn’t seem to show frustration at the beginning it was mostly Sebek until the going away party. It seemed to be too much for Silver and he got upset and left the party to find Malleus. Thats were he lets out everything and went into a crying fit.

As much as Silver doesn’t show emotions it also seems like he lets it build up until he can’t handle it anymore. More so over he doesn’t know how to deal with everything that was happening to him.

𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒓

Silver is known for being one of the nicer students at NRC (not saying others aren’t) I find that its quite surprising that he is kind to others and willing to hear others out. Given the fact the fae in the Valley of thrones weren’t accepting of humans.

This is prove by the fact that Sebek and Silver were each others only friends, this also comes with the fact they are both human. Even then Sebek was still a ass to Silver.

I just want to put this out cause i find it enduring the Silver can have such a positive look at life despite what he probably has been through.

𝕋𝕨𝕤𝕥 𝔸𝕟𝕚𝕞𝕖

This a kinda a rant about my opinions about the twisted wonderland anime that is suppose to be happening, if you don’t want to read that then you can skip this post

𝑴𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔

In my fully honest opinion when I first heard twst was getting a anime I was so excited but the more I got to thinking the more I realized i should keep my expectations low. 

I used to watch a lot of anime when I was younger and when I would watch anime that were based off of video games it was not the best, the plot was always rushed or they got the characters wrong or it felt awkward cause of how the og game was set up. This is what I fear with the twst anime, as the main story of twst is extremely long and reportedly the anime is going to have 12 episodes, I can’t see them doing the main storyline any justice with only 12 episodes.

Maybe chapter 1-4 they can go over in a few episodes but once you get to chapter 5-6 it would be too long.

My hope is that they don’t do the main story line and instead we see the daily lives of the students in each dorm as that would make more sense as to not rush anything.

You all might be wondering why I am talking about this now, it just because later today twst is suppose to be presenting at anime japan and a lot of people think its gonna be about the anime that was talked about in 2021.

𝕃𝕖𝕠𝕟𝕒 𝕂𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤𝕔𝕙𝕠𝕝𝕒𝕣: 𝕒 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕒𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕪𝕤𝕚𝕤

Note: this is my first time ever doing one of these so bare with me

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈

I always found Leona to be one of the stand out characters from the twisted wonderland cast, not for how much of over the top he was like how some characters are but rather for how reliable he is. 

I often see people talk about how much a prick, asshole and one noted character Leona can be. I hope through this character analysis I can provide a reasoning for why he is the way he is and show that he isn’t as one noted as most believe

𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆

To figure out why Leona is the way he is now, we must first take a look at his home life as that is usually the building blocks on how someone will turnout in the future.

In Leona backstory post over blot in chapter 2 and through some of Leona’s card stories we as a audience are told about he was treated when he was younger. Almost at all moments Leona was compared to his older brother Felena, who mind you is 10 years older then Leona (told in Leona first birthday card story). On top of that people fearing him for his unique magic which he was born with.

So throughout his childhood into early to middle teens Leona has been compared to his brother in everyway shape in form, even when Leona puts effort into something it is over shadowed by his brother. Not to mention throughout these years he was feared by most people in the kingdom.

We can see that this adds up to the present where Leona doesn’t care to put effort into anything as it would be overshadowed by something else or seen as not good enough. Even seeing no point in changing his behavior as people are still going to fear him.

This is reinforced in Leona fairy gala story, for when he puts actually effort in instead of lazing about. Vil picks apart every single detail about Leona and saying that it wasn’t good enough, which results in Leona leaving and going back to what he normally does which is sleeping in his room.

𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈

I find in the twst fandom there is a large misunderstanding about Leona when it comes down to how he treats people. Largely most people say he doesn’t care for anyone except himself. This is further from the truth.

Although Leona does care for his fellow classmates he has his own special way of doing so, especially when it comes to his lower classmates.

Throughout chapter 6 we see Leona and Jamil Make their way through S.T.Y.X, Leona makes off handed comments towards Jamil and even get on his ass about the way he acts. I always understood this as a way of Leona trying to make sure Jamil actually learns from his mistakes and doesn’t end up like him (Leona).

Another example of Leona caring for his younger classmates is in his dorm uniform when he gets on the rest of savanaclaws ass for picking on Jack. When Ruggie asks why Leona did this he pauses and asks Ruggie “isn’t it obvious”, which Ruggie then fills in with what he thinks what Leona meant. 

The last nail in the coffin for this point is how Leona became dorm leader. In his birthday card Leona tells Yuu about how he became dorm leader, and that he never wanted to do it in the first place but his young classmates kept on bothering him to do so. It is mention that the old dorm leader was quite cruel and thats why his classmates wanted Leona to do something.

This can be seen in two ways of Leona being annoyed but his classmates and decided to help to make them stop or that he somewhat agree that the dorm leader was cruel and decided to do something about it. I believe that its a mixture of both, as Leona did find always being bothered to be extremely annoying and wanted to make it stop but at the same time knew the dorm leader was cruel.

Although having laid out these points, it is still notable that Leona is a prick and a asshole to the third students especially Malleus, which we will be touching on as well.

𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏

One thing that Leona is well known for is sleeping away his issues and lazing about, which causes the fandom and in game characters to rightfully assume that Leona is just a lazy guy who doesn’t want to do the work. I think this can be one of many symptoms of depression.

Before I go any further I am not diagnosing him or anyone with depression, I will be going over common symptoms that I have study and gone over in classes. If any of this applies to you please seek out a professional before jumping to conclusions. 

Now why do I think Leona lazing about could be a symptom of depression? Well alone I don’t think it is but mixed together with that he short tempered, sees no point into putting effort into anything and he seems to put up a front when around others. Than I would point to its a symptom.

As listed in the last paragraph, those are all common symptoms of mild depression in a person (probably the ones most seen in media as well) and given Leona’s childhood that was covered earlier. It wouldn’t be too far fetched to assume he has some sort of mild depression. 

Although again this does not excuse his actions in chapter 2 and 3 of the game especially when it comes to his overblot. I brought this point up as it seems to be overlooked or pushed aside and called a “reach” even though this a main part of his character.

𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒖𝒔

I said at some point I would be talking about Malleus and Leona’s relationship (or lack there of) and here it is.

What I often found when look at Malleus is that he parallel Felena and Leona quite a bit. For the Felena point, Malleus is a crown prince next in line for the throne, is better at everything then Leona including Magic shift which for a while Leona was the best at. 

Now for him being parallel to Leona, both are feared by many simple from looks (or in Leona case his powers) alone. Both are gifted in Magic to the point they both didn’t have to go to NRC.

If we look at Leona behavior towards Malleus it could be explained in two ways, Leona is jealous of Malleus cause he has everything that he (Leona) doesn’t or he sees Malleus as another Felena this there is parallels between the two. Again this a mixture of both if anything as in chapter 2 it is very heavily implied that Leona is jealous of Malleus.

While seeing him as Felena can be observed throughout the card stories that have the two in them (which is little to none)

I know this character analysis was a bit all over the place and I apologize but I hope you learned something new about Leona and come to perhaps understand him a bit more. Maybe even see him as less then a one noted character. I hope y’all have a amazing night or day.

𝕺𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖆𝖑𝖑 𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖌𝖍𝖙𝖘

This chapter made me cry and fear for the characters. I love that we finally got some lore about the fae, knowing malleus is still considered a child in the eyes of fae cause he becomes a adult when he turns a thousand. Another thing is we finally got Lilia actual age, he is 700 years old and he explains that he’s kind of fae live to 1000 but because of his reckless past he now dying earlier.

Seeing Silver yell and cry was shocking to say, although my favorite character I never expected him to show such a outburst since he never did that in any of the stories he showed up in. It hurt hearing him blame himself for what is happening to Lilia and that he couldn’t do more to help.

I love the Sebek character development and Lilia getting on his ass about not liking humans, basically he told Sebek to cool it and asked the first years to look after him once he [Lilia] leaves the school.

𝕿𝖍𝖊𝖔𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖘

I know the time loop theory is huge in the twst community, but I don’t believe its going to happen. My theory is that we are stuck in a endless dream where we get everything we want, since Malleus does tell us “we well all be heroes of the fairytale” at the end of the chapter. So I think we are all stuck in our own separate dreams basically being “rebirthed” into a new world.

But I do agree with the theory of Idia and Leona “saving” the day. Idia wasn’t in diasomnia when the cruse was casted and as far as I know the curse only made people in the dorm fall asleep and everyone else on sage island. Note every dorm is its own mini world and since Idia was in his dorm when the curse was casted it didn’t effect him. 

Now onto Leona as stated Leona probably knows when he is dreaming (this was pointed out in the English version of chapter 6) So if anything Leona probably will figure out that he is dreaming and try to find a way out of it. It also helps the Leona best subjects is ancient magic/curses and it was never told if the curse was Malleus’s UM, so that's another plot point.

𝕸𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖚𝖘

There is not enough words in this world to describe what my thoughts on this man is but I will try my best. Malleus overblot design has to be one of my favorites he legit looks like the mistress of evil herself and I am living for it.

But I don’t think he fully overblotted since his voice sounded normal and the phantom wasn’t speaking through him, he also seems fully aware that he overblotted and doesn’t really care. He just wants everyone to be happy and safe (the yandere vibes I swear)

I think what makes me laugh about all of this that he got this idea from the fucking Tamagotchi, since every thirty days the pet files away leaving a egg for Malleus to look after and raise and the cycle repeats which gives Malleus the idea of “rebirth” tied in with the fact Silver was crying to him about how worthless he felt.

I am I saying Malleus feels reasonable for other peoples happiness, most likely that's one thing he feels but also that he doesn’t want to be lonely again cause remember he had such a lonely childhood. Although I didn’t think he would overblot 30 chapters into chapter 7 you know.

Side note: I fucking love his humming of a twisted version of “once upon a dream” at the end of the chapter. Its creepy and gives the vibes that we might not be able to defeat him alone, overall it hits all the right spots.

This is for the pure fact I would love to know what characters you want me to analysis from any of the fandoms I listed or any theories you may have or maybe some lore that I haven’t caught onto yet.

Yes. I have a character analysis prepared for 𝕊𝕚𝕝𝕧𝕖𝕣, 𝕃𝕖𝕠𝕟𝕒 𝕒𝕟𝕕 ℂ𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣 from twisted wonderland. For Arcana I have some theories for where in real life the game may take place in. As for Splatoon I will be voicing my opinions on some theories that have been going around.
