Fun Things to do with Cool Kitchen Stuff
Can you find fun gameplay from a stuffpack? I think you can. Here are some ideas that are related to this pack:
Use the ice cream maker! Just... Add it to your sim's household and make them some ice cream!
Challenge your sim to eat every ice cream flavor!
Start an ice cream stand! Put ice cream makers outside on a table and have your sim make ice cream and set it out for passing strangers to enjoy. Will they take it? Who knows. (I don't actually know if they'll take it, I'm interested to find out)
Make an ice cream shop. This could work well if you have get to work or dine out, I think. It would be fun to have your sims hanging out in public eating ice cream cones.
Renovate your sim's kitchen. Are you that person who gives your sim the bare necessities and then forgets to add any kind of visual appeal once you have the simoleons to do so? Well, this is for you. Renovate that kitchen and make it look the way your sim would like it to!
Make your sim live off of no food but ice cream. How long can they survive? Can you sustain a family like this?
Have a barbeque. I know kitchen stuff doesn't have a grill, but there are grills available. And Cool Kitchen Stuff has THESE:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have you ever used them? No? Well, this is your chance.
Make your sim a kitchen enthusiast. All they want to do is host dinner parties, cook for their friends, read cookbooks and show everybody how awesome their kitchen is. Or maybe they have more than one kitchen. Maybe they have the world's biggest kitchen. Who knows. You decide.
Make a separate kitchen area for the outdoors. That sounds weird, I know, but I saw one build I don't remember very well now that had a separate cooking area in a small building outside, so the sims could cook for outdoor gatherings easier. It also gave an awesome event space. I am now in love with the idea and recomend it to everyone.
Put the kitchen in a place that nobody would expect.
In that same vein: maybe the kitchen is secret? Hidden from prying townie eyes?
Orrrr... Make your kitchen as inconvenient as possible and see if your sim starves. Why is the sink UPSTAIRS?!??!
Working off of that: optimize your Sim's kitchen so that cooking and eating is as efficient as possible.
Did you guys like these ideas? That was just inspired from one stuff pack (not to mention, even if you don't have Cool Kitchen Stuff, you can try many of these ideas) Think of the possibilities with other dlc, or by combining packs!

Sims 4 Gameplay Idea!
Aspiration Legacy(?) Challenge:
This is based on the legacy challenge or the rags to riches challenge, with the first generation starting with nothing but a giant lot and having to create a legacy (hence the name) as all of the other sims follow in their footsteps. This one has no set amount of generations, you can just pick whatever number you like or just start and see how long you keep it up.
The goal of this challenge is that you have to get your current sim to complete their aspiration before they can pass on the mantle to their child.
Now, here are the rules:
You start with 0 simoleons. Only give yourself enough money to buy the lot you want. You can choose any lot, but your family has to live their for each generation
Your sim can get a work or do whatever you feel like to earn cash and survive (without cheats!) but ONLY the current generation's sim can have a career. All other household members must earn money through other means.
You must fulfil your main sim's aspiration, but you don't have to worry about their household. If you want to do their stuff too, that's fine.
All traits must be randomized. For your first sim, however, you can select the random option three times and choose your favorite result.
All aspirations must be random.
However, you cannot have a main sim have the same aspiration as their ancestor. It would make the gameplay stale to do the same aspiration twice in the same challenge, wouldn't it?
Your Sim's oldest child will take up their mantle and continue the challenge.
Things that aren't rules, but are encouraged:
Really lean into your Sim's ranomized personality and dreams. Don't just see their aspiration as a thing to do, see it as the reason they're alive. Their driving force.
Experiment with gameplay you don't often use. This is kind of the goal of this, since the aspirations and traits are randomized. If you find yourself stuck in a rut of the same traits and goals, this is a good chance to shake it up. What else can you play with that you haven't done much of?
Record your gameplay! Either through recordings or screenshots, it can be fun to talk about your gameplay with others and get feedback on ideas and fun thoughts. (And if you do end up posting about this challenge, please tag me I would love to see what you're doing!)
Lastly: I just came up with this challenge when I was planning on doing the legacy challenge, decided I didn't need to look at the rules, realized I didn't remember what the rules were and then just gave up and made up my own challenge. So, if I happened to copy or accidentally plagiarize and exsisting challenge, sorry! If you know of any challenges that are very similar to this one, link them in the reblogs so folks can do them as well or instead!
