This little guy has stolen my heart and calls me Mama.
January 2020 found out we were expecting our 🌈Baby
March 2020 had our gender reveal.... via Zoom thanks to CoVid
September 9th, 2020 Maverick Austin Velasco arrived 13 days earlier than expected.
My boy, has changed our lives and has filled our everyday with love and smiles and just a heart full of warmth! My husband wanted a strong name, and we found the perfect name. In a world of so many opinions and so much indifference whether it is political, belief or morals. Maverick we hope to guide him to listen to all sides, and think and fight for what he feels is right, not follow what others, just because it may be the "Cool" thing to do, or because he won't be on the "In" crowd. Austin.... must I say more it means "Great, Majestic, Venerable.
There is Nothing I won't do for this boy, and I hope to be the best Mother I can be and make the best choices for this sweet boy. Whatever sacrifices that come my way, if it provides the best option for my family, I will trust it in and go through that door.

Honeymoon is 3 weeks
Just about 3 weeks to go, and have Nothing packed for our Honeymoon! We got ourselves an Itinerary... and well yeahs that's it.
As corny as it may seem, long as I get to spend this quality time with my bestfriend aka my Husband, it's all that matters to me. Alot has been going on, life... work.... home with 2 crazy fluff monsters.... this is absolutely a well deserved break, as well as a great way for us to make amazing memories.
If anyone has any suggestions as to where to go, where to eat in Manila, Hong Kong, Boracay and Palawan... please Share away!

First attempt on making homemade ice cream was a #success! Ube Ice Cream with 3 simple ingredients and my Kitchenaid Mixer! Love my Mixer and trying to find ways to utilize it more.
1 pint of Heavy Whipping Cream- mix until peaks are made
14oz can of condensed milk- fold into the mixed heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp of Ube flavoring- fold in thoroughly to make sure all is blended
Pour cream mixture into an appropriate bowl and freeze for 12 hours.
I was a bit impatient and checked every 2 hrs, it is NOT ready its just really cold whipped cream 🤣🙈.
After 12 hours perfect to serve. Its a mix between hard and soft serve ice cream. Extremely creamy, next time definitely going to try adding Macapuno (baby coconut) to the mixture!

First Valentine's Day as a Married Woman. Luckily it is also President's Day Weekend so my Husband has a Long Weekend. We were able to celebrate this first Hallmark Holiday together with multiple dates. With the craziness of work and home life now with 2 FurBabies, it's rare to really spend time with just One another.
The amazing man who I get to spend my Forever with got us tickets to see one of my Favorite acts from this past seasons AGT.... Vicki Barbolak! A night full of laughter and forgetting the outside daily struggle called adulting was just the ticket. But to put all the amazing sweet toppings, we got to stay somewhat local in our state, and took a drive to AC.
I may have posted this delicious, tastebud dancing bowl of heaven already, but it was SO memorably tasteful I had to give it another shout out! The Lobster Dashi from Okatshe at Tropicana. Just as foodgasmic as I remembered! A bowl full of seafood, and perfectly cooked ramen, in a the most heaven sent broth. Oh Em Gee! Going to dissect and Try to replicate! Stay tuned!

Destination Wedding at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya. Would not have had it any other way! Our closest family and friends came to celebrate one of the most memorable days of our lives. I can truly emphasize on the days part. As many weddings are usually the 8-12 hours, between the getting ready.... ceremony.... cocktail.. and reception, the most amazing part about destination weddings is you get to celebrate and spend time and share special moments with Each and Every One of your guests, as the celebration is for multiple days.
We hired a travel agent/ event planner to help us with this whole process. She helped us with the room bookings, to get materials from the resort on decor, set up, menus etc. We also had a Day of Coordinator at the resort who we met with as soon as we were checking in. Of course myself being Myself, I wanted to customize and make our Special Day far from cookie cutter. They accommodated in every way they could possibly do so.
The days leading up to the wedding were unforgettable, we got to spend time with everyone. My Husband and I arrived a day earlier than any of our guest so we could just enjoy each other before the festivities began. We got our last minute details situated as well as booked some relaxing Spa time for ourselves so leading to the Big Day we could just relax and essentially BE ON VACATION! As guests started to arrive, some few days before others we were able to spend one and one time with, and was beyond grateful as they got to enjoy the amenities this amazing resort had to offer, as well as take this time to relax from their daily busy lives as well.
We were nervous as we were worried since we had such a large party and many of our guests would either feel lost... or just stick with their "cliches" but with events planned leading up to out wedding... The Welcome Party, days spent just hangin out at the pool, Rehearsal Dinner.. it just got everyone familiar with each other.
The most stressful part in my perspective was 1 bringing certain items to the destination. We had our Wedding Party Gifts, Welcome Bags, Favors, Gift Card Box, Guest Puzzle, and many other miscellaneous items. As soon as we got them over *checked them in on the plane* and to the resort, our day of coordinator retrieved the items immediately. To make everyones life easier, we noted what items were in each box, me as the event planner that I am, put extra notes and of course POST ITs on each item directing to where each other should be.
Another Crazy stress I had was my Bouquet. A bouquet to me holds a very sentimental value, as I have been a bridesmaid to my cousins Special Days, my mother has kept the bouquets and have dried them. Customs was my biggest fear as it would have broken my heart to have them take it away at TSA- as rightfully so. To alleviate my worries, I had my florist who is beyond amazing recreate the bouquet I wanted but with fake florals. Greatest party about it.... no custom worries and Forever they will last and look the same as they did the day before. Unfortunately as absentminded as many brides get the day of with the hectic schedule one goes through... I forgot mine during the photoshoot after the ceremony. BUT please learn from my mistake and HOLD ON DEARLY if you are as sentimental as I am with your bouquet.
I relive this spectacular, memorable day over and over, and honestly tear up when the flashback of my father walking me down the aisle to my Forever, and that look my Husband had, literally all the worries and stress leading up to that Very moment was all erased. My surroundings were gone, it was just me and him up there. As all brides say it is the most amazing day of your life, more unforgettable moment in ones life, truly is an understatement.
