Hey, my name's Sarah Paige! I'm using this blog to post my art, and other rad art (other people's art tagged with #not mine). You will mostly find original ideas, but I do enjoy drawing fan art sometimes, but not often ((maybe)). I appreciate the support of any followers, because I honestly need it. If you're wondering, I do commissions, but I'm somewhat swamped with school and my personal life right now. If you're really interested, though, please let me know.

It's been a really long time since I let myself be touched by words. Thank you for your poetry, its wondrous.
i’m so happy to hear this. letting yourself be moved by any art in general can be so healing. it connects us all as humans and it’s remarkable. thank you for sharing this with me

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of impressionism, in fact it's probably one of my least favorite styles of art. But it's arguably one of the most important breakthroughs in art history, and I believe it's something all studying artists need to be exposed to.
Impressionism is literally the foundation for all modern art. Without it, we might still just be looking at photorealistic, muscular men and women on chapel walls.
In my painting class we're doing studies over a piece of impressionistic art from a selection of artists. For mine, I'm choosing to tackle The Dinning Room by Berthe Morisot:
I won't lie, this is probably going to be a terrifying experience for me, as I've never been the best at ignoring imperfections in my art. None the less, I'm going to give it my best shot in what little time I'll have for this. I simply hope I can get a good hold of the impressionistic style, that's all I can ask for.
