Just one post was enough to throw me again in the loop of rewatching KinnPorshe. It's been so long since the show was aired and we can't hope for the second season 😭😭😭 But I can't stop thinking how sorry I am for Chay who was just left heartbroken and all alone. More so in the contrast of all the rest drinking and celebrating happily on the boat. That was sooo unfair - he was one of few in the story who really did nothing wrong, but he lost more than most involved. The thought keeps nagging me, so I desperate for a fix-it, while Chay needs a cuddle and a happy ending

The last few days have been like let me have my jeff moment here - binge watching his MVs and shorts and covers (saying i can't get enough of him singing a piece of Die With A Smile is a kind of understatement.) Just looove his voice, so crisp and clean.
Makes me want to rewatch the KinnPorche yet again

What can be better than some domestic bliss for Alan and Gaipa? So here comes the second part of the Out of Dates story. The series is one of my favs, but there's still so much left untold about the boys. I truly believe they are perfect for each other, yet here they're just starting their way together.

The Mouse in the City
It's been a year since The Eighth Sense was released, so it was a perfect reason to rewatch the show. There was one thing nagging me - Jihyun just felt that Jaewon was coming. But - how? And the song - it seemed to start out of nowhere and broke the silence, but that's not all. Jihyun turned and said he liked it with the very first chords playing. Like, how? What did he feel? Sooo I had no choice and that's how it was born. Enjoyed every second writing it.

Family Bonding by satxrlight (1.2k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/39982071 Big brothers are always caring, but sometimes too caring - Kim and Chay are trying to go on a date. Porsche is kind of irritating, Kim's definitely irritated, Kinn's enjoying the show and Chay is well-mannered (at least at the beginning)
drunk in love by Martynax (5.3k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/39550998 Kim and Chay go clubbing "to get super drunk." Kinn and Porsche join the Party, as a result - a lot of booze, some family bonding and terrible hangover later on
push and pull by Martynax (29.3k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/41363754 That's come quite unexpected in the search feed, but yes, it's KinnPorsche, it's threesome and Big is involved. Big recovers from his wounds and believes that he's been abandoned and forgotten, while nobody actually knows that he's survived. When Kinn and Porsche finally learn about him, they take him back to the compound and make sure that he has everything he needs. What starts as a gratitude for saving Porsche's life at the warehouse develops into something they didn't expect.
Posting your dramatic love song for your ex(?) on social media actually works by lalala53 (4.3k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/41294958 a kind of classical development of the final episode - Kim posts the video with the song online, Chay decides to give him one more chance. They talk ( cry) and make up

A Guide to Living a Mafia-Adjacent Life by puckbaes (40.4k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/39870123 One more variation on Kim and Chay getting together. Chay is getting used to his new life and new status. He goes to a music camp, trying to forget Kim, who is always nearby when Chay makes poor choices. At first Chay resents the idea of having bodyguards and everything seems strange, but eventually he understands what it means to be a part of the family (and finds out something about himself)
circumstance by Heyimagination (102k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/42784659 To repay for everything his brother did for him when they were younger, Chay is dead set on doing everything for his brother to have a happy life. That will mean making the choices he'd have never made on his own. I have so much to say about the story, I don't even know where to start. The story is as beautiful and violent as only life can be. It's definitely no bed of roses for all the characters, or at least their roses are full of inch long thorns. It's about the choice between the dream and the duty, between lies and delusions, despair and defeat, and between forgetting and remembering. And in some way, about second chances - to start with - of survival. The storyline covers quite a long timespan. Chay leaves the country to study abroad and become a doctor, as he believes that's the best way to help Porsche. Yet bending to Korn's will, he gets some skills he would perfectly do without. Upon his return he gets involved into family business more and more, having left no choice. Kim is fighting his own battles. Their relationship has far more less ups, than downs. To say it's complicated would be such an understatement. Loved the story, but I'm not at all sure that I'll reread it in the nearest future. In some scenes I felt my heart would break for them - no irreparable damage was made, but some scars never fully heal. Yet they managed to find their way through, and that was all I needed - especially after so many unexpected twists and unhappy turns.
Idol by Birdysaurus and Oxxymoron (132.7k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/44177311 A long detailed story set as Actors AU. Kim is a famous bl-actor who is not involved in the family business, Chay is just starting his career. They meet when they become the main leads for the next bl TV-show. Kim also has a friend who used to be his screen partner, however, almost everyone, including Chay, believes that they are a real-life couple. So the rest of the plot is quite straightforward, without any unexpected turns. It makes a good reading choice when it comes to a romantic story, especially if you don't want any drama, angst or too much of mafia-related things.

A different game by CorvusCloudburst (4.2k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/40148862 A post episode 13 storyline. Kim goes violent because he is too worried for Chay, literally kidnapping him.
A Guide to Living, Laughing, and Loving for the Corporeally Challenged by bisexualbard (14.3k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/50550718 Kim disappears and comes as a ghost to haunt Chay, who doesn't like the way Kim is. Little bit of mystery
Checkmate (series) by majestictortoise (105k in total) https://archiveofourown.org/series/3041331 It's a series of 7 stories in total, each concentrating on one of the characters, yet the rest are also always there. Though the series makes up a cross-cutting, yet - alas! - unfinished plot, every story is finished in itself. Loved every one of them, as all the characters are well thought-out and the relationships are as healthy as they could be with all the mafia-thing involved. The setting is after the end of the original show. I'd say it's a kind of a fix-it in the sense that the author tries to bridge the gap between the story we had in the original show and the story it could have been if the creators had been more logical and hadn't left so many question unanswered. One more thing that I like is that all characters don't exist in the story as if there's nobody around - they keep their ties, (mock)hate those they (mock)hate, and love those who they fall for, and brothers are bothers not just because we are told so.
Machine Gun Kick - mainly Porsche's pov. He learns about the video of the fight at the Yok's bar, tries to talk to Chay and from this point the story rolls on. It's all confusing shades of grey, as Porsche puts it. He is reasonable and caring, I have to admit - it's the version of Porsche I do like most.
Counterpunch - While Vegas is recovering at hospital, Pete is getting adjusted to his new role in the family, still cared for by Khun, relied on by Macao and Korn becoming an issue and a threat. So it's time for everyone to choose their side.
Kotov Syndrome - In a nutshell, the summary tells it all - Kim ruins some of his father's plans, talks about his feelings, totally doesn't cry, and finally gets to kiss a cute boy.
Trigger Creep - Now it's Kinn's turn to keep the story going. Kim finally tells his brothers about his investigation, and from that point it's getting more and more intense - involving trust issues, kidnapping, and old sins coming for the revenge
S.I.N.G. - It's Chay's turn to be kidnapped, right from the compound. The opponents make themselves clear about their actions and reasons - nothing nice and nothing new - so teamwork is what they need for survival.
Middlegame - Macao spends time under Khun's protection while Chay is kidnapped. They bicker, share some dirty family secrets and eat ice-cream
Enhanced Interrogation - Vegas doesn't know what to do with his life, has some regrets, questions and doubts and puts into action some plans that he believes he may not survive

A Deeper Connection by DragonFairy777 (23.2k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/46960273 Porche and Kim meet at street fights several years before the start of the main story and become friends right away. There's some things that I really enjoyed in the story. Kim and Chay develop close relation and that's why Kim's desperation seems much more logical when Chay learns the truth and as well as their make up that follows - as it's much more difficult to turn your back on the person you've been so close and secretly in love for years. And one more thing - I never knew that Kim&Porche friendship was what I needed - their dynamics and the way how perfectly Kim fits into the brothers' life (and the punch Kinn gets from Kim for mistreating Porche was soo deserved!)
Teaching Chay by blackhighheels (95.1k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/46000303 Kim learns that Chay is depressed and nobody cares about it except Big and returns to the compound to get Chay out of the shell and help him finally adjust to the new environment. I think i haven't read any other story with so many details about their real learning&teaching process - not only learning to be a part of the family but learning each other. Loved it! The final part of the plot still leaves some questions unanswered - first being why Korn was the way he was, what was the reasoning behind his actions. That makes the detective, let's call it so, plotline less convincing, however, the relations part here is just on spot.
With Every Guitar String Scar on My Hand I Take This Man to Be My Lover by bInTheMoon (2.3k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/40088208 a cute variation of a 5+1 plot when Kim and Chay are together, but their brothers never notice anything
the instinctual gravitation toward warmth by kimkhimhant (139.6k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/42238578 A quite emotional post-canon story of Kim fighting for his freedom from his father and 'business', for his music, for Wik, and against drug abuse: of slow but imminent fall to the bottom and gradual and painful way back. Kim and Chay make up through music, both aiming at making it a career. Chay is supportive of Kim to the point he just can't stand Korn's mind games any more. Tagged 'Heavy Angst' not without a reason
Our Hearts, Bathed in Lightning by The_Old_Astronomer (27.6k) https://archiveofourown.org/works/43148404 Chay is afraid of storms and Kim comes to the rescue. It seems like another story of them coming together, but the language it's written makes it stand out - it has a certain poetic flair and is full of metaphors and other stylistic devices that I thoroughly enjoyed. Just a quote. "Kim was his prologue, his epilogue and everything in between"
