My webcomic has been running for four years this year, and even when I sometimes feel so demoralized and hopeless about it, it does have 34 000 views on Tapas!

This year I set it as my goal to redraw ~50 of the ugliest frames of the comic, because some of them had aged so poorly I simply could not stand seeing them anymore. This alone was causing me to have issues with motivation of drawing it.

However, I have not yet seen a single comic that set out with the goal of "I will redraw EVERYTHING that I have done so far" which would have actually managed to be a completed project. So, 50 ugliest frames of redraw it is, not the whole thing.

I'm pretty proud about how these redraws have turned out, actually? I'm starting to like my own art, the way it comes out, the things I can do with it. Someone else obviously might be able to do it better, as I described in my post of despair on the comic updates, and a part of me assumes there will always be someone making fun of me or mocking my art.

I am fully hoping to cut these people out from my audience. If you have nothing to say to me other than "You're not playing piano correctly" or "your art is not perfect" or "your writing is kind of mediocre, actually" - I don't need that in my life, actually?

Putting that aside, I am looking forward to the Valentine's day and putting out some new pages for Brand of Gold, then moving on to a whole new chapter of it next month!

I'm pretty happy with how both of those have turned out <3
