Having an inexplicable relationship with religion that shocks those around you because of your seeming lack of faith, because said religion is tied so intrinsically to history and the culture you’re surrounded with and because you are clinging so desperately to it as a way to separate yourself from the culture of your blood despite the fact that no one will ever be able to look at you and not see your parents.

Tied to someone else’s religion so casually to the point where you don’t even question it until someone else points it out to you and all you can do is shrug. Religious in the same way as someone who used to go to church as a kid and doesn’t anymore but still has those habits baked into their very being.

Maybe because it’s simply second nature for everyone around you to worship or maybe because you need something, anything to grasp into for hope and faith and this was so far removed from the parts of you that you try to avoid that it brings a whole new kind of grounding, maybe even comfort.

Or maybe another reason entirely.

I do not own fashion. What I do own is clothes (shirt, pant, the evil jeans) and Larp Wear. What am I larping as?

Anything. Everything. Usually a slightly cooler and more functional version of myself. Sometimes as that One Character that makes my brain bweeeeee.

Larp wear is essential bc if I am Larping as a slightly more functional me then I am going to have to Be a slightly more functional me or I am not playing my part well!!! It just so happens Doing Things Dobes wears jeans and a Hawaiian shirt, whereas Dobes wears the same t-shirt and sleep shorts for two weeks straight.
