now that everyone from twitter has joined tumblr overnight, it's time to lay a couple ground rules:
1. it's not called a "retweet", it's called a "reblog", but if you're REALLY cool, you refer to it as a "rebagel"
2. if someone has fewer followers than you, it is totally fair to call them "irrelevant", but it is actually more stinging to call them "irrelephant"
3. if you see someone irl that you think might have a tumblr, you're supposed to say "i like your shoe laces". the correct response, which any true tumblrite would know by heart, is "thanks, i stole them from the president"
4. there is a particular phenomenon that happens after 12am EST called "nightblogging", and everything after this point is the fault of the australians
5. tumbeasts

Every writing advice: your characters shouldn’t have names that resembles each other’s, it confuses the reader
Cassandra Clare: here is the main love interest Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern/Lightwood/Herondale and here’s the bad guy Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern (but he’s called Sebastian), and here’s the very first Shadowhunters Jonathan, and here’s the long lost heir of the Fair Folk Christopher Jonathan Herondale (he’s called Kit) and if we go a century back here’s Christopher Lightwood

Big spoilers!
OK, this is the one big spoilery question I’m answering before I have to run off to Kentucky. I’ll get back to the inbox at a later moment! This has to do with Grace and James, and really do NOT read it if you don’t want to get spoiled.

One thing I like about Star Wars
SPOILERS FOR THE RISE IF SKYWALKER!!!!!
Is how both Ben and Anakin’s stories show how if only one person believes you can do better, you can.
That it doesn’t matter what you’ve done, but what you are going to do. We’ve all fucked up in the past, some way more than others, but we can change. And forgiving someone, helping them change, can actually affect so many people.
Don’t forget the lessons these movies thaught us. Anakin turned to the dark side because people didn’t answer his questions, and an evil man abused that and manipulated him. Snoke (and Palpatine) manipulated Ben and Luke made a mistake making Ben fall into the trap.
But both Ben and Anakin were saved by people who not only loved them, but forgave them for what they had done.
And that is important!

Literally after a reread I figured, the prophecy only said he some days leaves Alegaësia to never return... it never says it’s the first time he ever leaves it, he doesn’t come back...
Eragon could go travel to and from Alagaësia, he only has to DIE outside it...
Plotholes Paolini
******Spoiler Alerts Ahead*******
So in the end of the Inheritance Cycle, the end of Eragon’s prophecy comes true: he leaves Alagaesia forever and breaks our shipper hearts as he and Arya and now Saphira and Firnen cannot ever be together.
But what we forget is that the prophecy is never as black and white as it seems to be.
In the prophecy Angela gave Eragon in Teirm, she says that a family member will betray him. Eragon then assumes it’s Roran because he is the only family he has. Later on, it’s revealed to be Murtagh as he strips him of Zar’roc.
So here’s the new loophole: Angela gave that prophecy to Eragon the farm boy, Eragon Son of None. It’s Eragon Bromson, Leader of the Dragon Riders who is left. Eragon the farm boy left Alagaesia forever once Eragon realized he could not go back to that life he had before.
ERAGON COULD HAVE STAYED.
Eragon and Arya could have had the ending they deserved. Roran could have his entire family together. Murtagh could have his brother.
But again in this line of thinking we’re forgetting something else:
THIS MEANS HE CAN ALSO RETURN.
