Another practice gouache painting. This one was tricky, because I had to try to paint what was inside the greenhouse, as well as leaving the white of the page for the reflections of the glass. Kind of broke my brain a few times! Also, I need to figure out how to paint a straight line! haha

Based on a photo I took at the whit-comb conservatory in Detroit.  I think that was the name!

Another little comic of this little froggo. I got my pilot’s license last year, but I haven’t been able to fly lately for various covid related reasons.  I miss it! Every-time I hear a plane fly overhead I like to look up and fantasize about flying again :)

I was very sad about the passing of the musician John Prine back in April due to Covid.  He was my favorite artist, and I’ve never felt as personally affected by the death of a celebrity/musician as I did with him. This is a little comic I did in his memory, illiustrating his most famous song “Angel From Montgomery”.  I tried to illustrate the three verses while using the lyrics of the chorus It might be fun to do more of these, but inking like this really hurt my hand!!

Ive started learning how to paint with gouache!  It’s been fun but hard!  These are based on photos I have taken over the past year since I don’t go outside anymore. haha

The first is from my work office in Hollywood, the second is the Ponta Negra in Natal, Brazil, and the third is a little ghost town right outside of Las Vegas

A comic panel from the test pages I wad doing for a personal project.  I feel like this looks like a haunted airplane, but in context it doesn’t look like that, I promise. lol.

I just wanted to draw something cute and fun, so I painted this little froggo in watercolor and guache.  Just wanted to capture that feeling of reading a really long book that seems like it will never end, but you’re having a nice time reading it so its okay.  At the time I was reading Eddie Campbell’s Alec.

Here’s a pencil drawing I did a few months ago and auctioned off on my instagram as a charity fundraiser.  $275 raised! :D

my last drawing for the six fanarts challenge: The Lady Amalthea from the Last Unicorn!! No one requested this one, it was just another that I really wanted to draw. I love the last unicorn, even though most of my colleagues in animation don’t agree. haha.

An update of an old Katara drawing!  This is by far the most popular thing I’ve ever drawn, and it was like seven years ago!  I don’t know if my drawings are quite as exciting as this anymore, but at least I’ve gotten better at coloring over pencil drawings.
