. . 🤗Them: How are you feeling? 😓Me: ...Meh... . Today, I woke up with a red rash on my cheeks—just below my eyes. . For most, that just may mean a skin irritation. Perhaps they used a product that didn’t agree with their skin. Perhaps they have sunburn. . For a 💜lupie💜 (lupus warrior)? ...That can mean a day (or days... or longer) of inflammation, pain, lethargy, and more. With me, lupus shows up with all of that including nausea and vomiting. Not fun. At all. . As May is Lupus Awareness Month, I’m making a public declaration to change my perspective. My body is MY BODY. It doesn’t belong to lupus, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis or anything else I’ve been diagnosed with. . It’s mine. . Mine. . MINE. . The Most High God, Yehovah, gave us dominion of the earth. We are made from the dust of the earth. Therefore, I am earth. Hence, I have dominion of my body. . It needs to obey me. . It must be obedient to my requests. . I will force it to comply with my demands. . I’m not saying that this will be an easy journey. But I REFUSE to be a mere onlooker during my healing process. . Will there be tough days? Maybe. . Will there be times when I feel I can’t get out of bed? Probably. . Will I give up? NEVER. . I can’t. . There are people who need me. I have something to give that only I can give. I have something to bring that only I can bring. I must live and love in the way that only I can. . I pray that you take this for yourself. Whatever you are dealing with. Whatever you need to overcome. Know that you CAN overcome it. . As my 93 year young grandmother, Mamadear, would say, “My body is not my boss”! . . In this hectic world, we need guidance. In the darkness of our generation, we need light. Unfortunately, we typically turn to things that are temporal or of little substance to make sense of what is happening in our lives. . The problem with temporal fixes is that they don't last. The issue with answers of little substance is that we still feel empty at the end of the day. . The Word of The Most High is Truth. It the answer for us in this crude and confusing universe. If we cleave to The Commands of The Most High, we will have lamp to guide us. If we follow the Instructions of Elohim, we will have light to show us the way.
