My super dense $300 teddy coat next to what I’m sure wasn’t a $300 teddy coat. What’s amusing to me is that while I’m guessing the other coat wasn’t $300 it might have been more than the $129 I paid for my coat (employee discount in action💁‍♀️)

All I want is for one of my jobs to hire someone in their 30s who can be a bestie for me. I’m wearing wool blend socks within slippers all under four layers of blanket.

I just ordered cheap glasses for $30 ($24+6 for shipping) to wear at home so I don’t damage my good glasses when I lay down with them on or Quimby smashes his face into mine. I’ve had them before. The arms are bendy. They’re cheap so they broke when I fell asleep on them.

Me: Got an email a few days after my free glasses order was put in saying it was canceled They retired the frame just when I was ordering but the manager was able to do it.

Me: Did virtual try-on with my new five contenders and took screen shots to send around before I’m next at work and can take pics of them on my face.

Me: Went into my WP email when I got a notafacation about an available shift and discovered

Not sure how I feel about this. I love them but there was a sense of relief that I still had my options open.

Warby Parker offers something called a “boost” which is pretty much a progressive type thing with just a low power in lower reading segment for extra sharp reading vision. I’d love to get my next pair of glasses with it for sharper reading but my left eye is farsighted (+1.50) and my right eye is nearsighted (-1.00) (astigmatism in both but that doesn’t matter) so I can’t do it.

Sometimes I forget I have these up next to my bed at eye level because they have been up for (4?) years but then when I do catch myself and drink it in I’m goo.

Part of my self care before turning on the news tonight (pizza/ice cream/wine) was lighting my favorite candle but I have a stuffy nose and can only intermittently smell it after blowing.
