i really do feel like it does shibas a disservice to paint them as this unnaturally stubborn and untrainable dog as if they aren't just. like other hunting spitz but tiny. they are perfectly capable (and benefit from) consistent training, and importantly work (or sports that are able to fill the working void).

hot take but "bully breeds have been relied upon by disenfranchised minorities as a means of protection in dangerous areas and are thus stigmatized by the police" and "some dog breeds require a level of attention, care, and training that surpasses other breeds and should not be adopted by someone unprepared for that challenge" are two ideas that can and should coexist
#oh you said this so well#I keep trying to explain that yes there is a lot of misinformation about bully breeds that is negative#BUT LIKE THEY ARE LITERALLY STILL TERRIERS#and hot take!! maybe!! but dogs being aggressive does not make them bad dogs!#some dogs are bred for that THEY JUST NEED AN APPROPRIATE HANDLER#and no not all bully breed dogs are aggressive but we need to stop pretending like breed genetics#apply to every other breed but not bully breeds#terriers will terrier

This weekend we got to go help socialize some (almost) five-week old puppies!
These babies are from Redwing Tollers Coffee Run Litter and are named Maple Pecan Latte, Apple Cider, Chai Tea Latte, and Pumpkin Space Latte (and no, I don't know which is which). You can see more of them on Insta or occasionally at @peebs555!

Dog is PASSED OUT on his little blanket while we kill some time until we get on our train. It's loud as hell here, there's load of people, someone playing a piano nearby, and he doesn't care at all. He even ignored some other dogs passing nearby, which we usually struggle with a bit!
He was such a good working boy all day and it really tired him out 💜
