Urgent Help:
Help my family survive and start a new life
Hello everyone, thank you for taking a moment to read our story.
I am Hazem Shawish, and I am trying to save my family from this war.
We live in Gaza, where we face significant challenges due to the current situation.
My family consists of 11 members, including my mother, two daughters, four sons, and three children.
In the shadow of conflict, our family has faced unimaginable hardships. The passing of my father, a victim to the cruel grasp of hunger and inadequate healthcare, left a void in our lives, underscoring the fragility of our existence here. My brother, Samer, battles bipolar disorder, a condition exacerbated by the ongoing war and the severe shortage of essential medications. Without access to the necessary treatment, his life is at risk, and we live in constant fear for his well-being amidst the chaos that surrounds us. These personal tragedies have deepened the urgency of our situation.
youtube
Every day is a struggle for survival, and each night is filled with prayers for a brighter tomorrow. We hold onto hope, believing that one day the clouds will dissipate, and we will find the peace we long for.
Our home, which was a sanctuary for us, was destroyed, forcing us to live in a state of uncertainty and fear. We have lost the laughter of our children.
Our entire neighborhood In Gaza Before and after
we had a supermarket that helped as to live and earn money, but it was bombed and we have nothing now, pic of our supermarket
We also face psychological challenges, as we have lost our father, and my brother Samer, who needs expensive medical treatment, is facing imminent danger. My mother, who has endured so much, fears losing another child. We are all suffering from malnutrition and contaminated water.
We dream of moving to Egypt to find safety, where our children can pursue their education.
We seek your support as individuals who understand the value of compassion and community.
Thank you for listening to our story, for your understanding, and for standing with us.

I appeal to you from the bottom of my heart to support my family during this harsh ordeal amidst the war in Gaza. The situation here is extremely tragic; we are suffering from severe food shortages, life-threatening malnutrition, contaminated water that is unsafe to drink, and a frightening spread of diseases.
The head of the family has been injured in the war and has become disabled, needing an urgent operation abroad.

there's something very scary about the way we argue and entertain discourse on israel or on settler colonialism when, on the ground, israel has totally isolated northern gaza and is currently systemically liquidating jabalia (a refugee camp in northern gaza) just as they have, from the very beginning, said they would do. just as large swathes of israel came to be in 1948, to 1967, to the west bank today. there's something scary about watching indigenous people undergo a genocide in real-time in 2024 like they're squatters on some prime property while nobody moves except to argue about semantics. there's something scary about people being trapped and killed like fish in a barrel while you can text them and follow them on social media and watch their pleas in video as soldiers and tanks come closer. what the hell is this
#i woke up to the news of israeli occupation forces in northern gaza tying up and blindfolding men#and placing them in a deep hole in the earth in one of the squares surrounding the indonesian hospital#we all know what happens next. but all we can do is scream our throats raw abt the horror and. fucking post#“sick to my stomach” doesn't even begin to describe what i feel right now#amerikkkans are a bunch of snivelling lily-livered cowards#do you think marches and peaceful protests is how you bring your government down to their knees?#is that all you ppl are capable of? complaining? shouting slogans?#i'm from bangladesh and we overthrew our autocratic ex prime minister last august#do you know how much blood sweat and tears were shed to end her FIFTEEN year reign?#do you know how many ppl DIED to overthrow her govt? 1425+ ppl. in just ONE month#22000 injured (including children). 12000+ arrested#300+ ppl died on the 4th of august alone#5 days of complete internet shutdown and total disconnection from the rest of the world to quell protests and smother our voices#they declared a nationwide shoot-at-sight curfew and we still persisted#i took tear shells to the face. hid in alleyways to evade police vans#watched my university campus become a literal warzone as police shot at us from between the bars of the uni gate#after which they raided our homes and arrested anyone who had so much as a picture or a facebook status regarding the protests on their pho#i saw student protesters get shot in the fucking head in front of my very eyes#one of my friend's brother is scarred for life bc he witnessed another student get butchered right in front of him. the kid is SEVENTEEN#and all YOU ppl can do to stop your government from participating in GENOCIDE is... make phone calls?? sign petitions?? vote???????#are you so scared of dying on your feet for a cause greater than yourself that you'd live on your knees?#an absolutely pathetic and spineless lot. no wonder all your heroes are fictional#palestine

Ghazzawi fundraiser priority list!
These are fundraisers that my vetter Mohammed Ayesh has told me are high priority either due to the low amount of funds or due to the situation the person is in. If you donate to any of these, please leave a screenshot below so to encourage others to donate to the fundraiser!
Hazem Mohammed Al-Bardaweel: Hazem has lost his wife and children in a bombing that injured him badly. He needs help starting anew while grieving the loss of his family to genocide.
Hossam Bardaweel: Hossam has lost his parents and all his siblings, and is now left to care for his siblings' children and widows on his own. He needs help supporting them while grieving the loss of his family to genocide.
Namer Matar: Namer has lost his baby due to a sudden illness that affected his newborn twins. The family is devastated, and his wife is struggling with postpartum in conditions of genocide while grieving her newborn.
Mohammed Matar: Mohammed's entire future as a water infrastructure engineer, and the company he was setting the building blocks for are all gone. He now has to care for his children and his wife struggling with postpartum in conditions of genocide.
Rania Youssef: Rania's father was the breadwinner of the family. He suffered from an untreated chronic illness that took his life during the acceleration of the genocide. She needs help taking care of her family while they grieve this immense loss.
Maha Madhoun: Eman's elderly mother enduring chronic illnesses without access to vital medication. Their escape from the relentless bombardment of warplanes, dodging bullets and navigating through a sea of injured and deceased, is a haunting ordeal etched into their memory.

Compilation of Palestinians who have reached out to me, Pt.1
I have received a lot of requests to share and donate to gfms from Palestinians, and so I will start compiling them together into these lists. I’m sorry for not answering each ask individually anymore, but putting several fundraisers together like this will make it easier and more effective to access and share campaigns.
I do not have the ability to verify campaigns, I am only looking to see if they have been verified by someone who is able to.

Israel claimed Yahya Sinwar was hiding in tunnels beneath hospitals and among women and children.
The truth was, he faced them head-on in Gaza while Israel targeted civilians and bombed hospitals, schools, refugee camps, and markets.
Israel has only immortalized him. Fearless, armed, and leading from the front, face-to-face—no retreat, no hesitation, no hiding.
Yahya Sinwar was born in 1962 in a refugee camp in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. His family were among more than 700,000 Palestinians who were displaced during the 1948 Nakba, at the hands of Israel.
He resisted and fought for his people till the very end. What a legend.
#in his final act of defiance i am reminded of refaat#“i am an academic. probably the toughest thing i have at home is an expo marker.”#“but if the israelis invade — if they barge at us — charge at us — open door-to-door to massacre us—”#“i'm going to use that marker — throw it at the israeli soldiers — even if that is the last thing i would be able to do.”#yahya sinwar#palestine

I'm very anxious for Shahed's campaign. Shahed herself is in poor condition, but works to reach us all the time as she's our only contact with her family and can only do so much with limited internet access. Please lift some weight off of her by sharing as much as you can. Please plead with your friends and acquaintances. Even if it's not comfortable for you please put thay aside momentarily, I beg of you. Her campaign has been making progress but is still far from its goal. Shahed and her siblings desperately need us.
