In class

My professor tries so hard to make us talk, but we don't. This week more classmates came in because of an email he sent. 2 weeks ago no one showed up, its usually my friend and I in class but I had family in town and my friend didn't want to be there alone. Last week we found out he has skin cancer, and I try to talk in class but he answers himself. He gets sad if we answer incorrect. The class is quiet he is the only one talking, my friend looks sleepy.
