I see you talk about Hunk, but how did Dude survive Re2 being knocked out? It was almost a week, and he escaped the day Claire and Leon escaped. Why did they make out like he escaped the day of the nuke? I don't see how everyone hyped him up.

It was said Hunk was coming in and out doing observations before his team stormed Birkins Lab on September 22nd. The calendar is wrong. I'll say he was unconscious for maybe a day or two, maybe just a few hours, because there is no way he was like that for almost 2 weeks and then retrieve a sample and then escape; he wouldn't have the strength unless, like I have stated before, he had regeneration or some type of superhuman ability that hasn't been revealed yet, and let's take into account Ada's situation. We still to this day don't know how she survived the fall/ hit by Mr x even though the hit by Mr x makes more sense than her falling. She had to recoup at a hotel, and she fell like a long way down so that would mean dying in Leons arms was the cannon ending in my opinion or the mix of the two endings depending. Anyways I'll add in that Ada and Hunk are highly trained, so they have endurance where most wouldn't in a do-or-die situation. So I'll give Hunk and Ada a little leeway that their training saved them. But it was stated in, I believe, Wesker's report. In the original version, the (English) line is: "My people hurried to retrieve the G-virus that Leon threw away. But HUNK, the only survivor of Umbrella's salvage team, was there before us." So dude survived long enough, healed his wounds, and evaded G's offspring for a bit, watching and holding out until he got the opportunity to retrieve the sample.

He also had to evade Birkin, who was patrolling the lab as well, until he was defeated, or because Birkin was originally all over the city, not just the sewers. Also, I believe he was hurrying before the bomb went off at the lab, not the city. Some fans forget that the lab exploded, and then the city. The lab itself is beneath the police station and sewers. I would think the self-destruction system would do some damage to RPD and destroy some part of the city due to things collapsing beneath the city. So Hunk definitely needed to hurry, plus he started off in the sewer—not a good place to be with a countdown while he is escaping. I believe Claire and Leon are preparing for the train to leave, so Hunk had from the time Leon threw the sample to get the hell out of there, depending on the scene in the original, not the remake. Leon either goes and gets Sherry from the save room and puts her on the train and fights the tyrant after connecting the power source or gets the cure for Sherry and battles Birkin in the lab before missing the train, so Hunk had to be heading back through the RPD by that time and fighting Mr. X. There were a total of 4 Mr. Xs in the city, if we go by the source materials and manga or comics.

Plus, Jill was knocked out during that time, roughly half a day. I think the pilot was just telling Hunk to hurry up because it would be his last opportunity, just like Ada had before the city blew up. Information had to be coming in that the government had decided to go ahead and nuke the city on October 1st, and you see in the broadcast in Re3 that they only had until morning to get out of the city. Wesker tells Ada to catch the last plane out of this city at the hotel, and she was also injured. I'll say Hunk had more recovery than Ada to make it, so I'll chalk up Hunk's survival just like Ada's due to their training and being something of use to each of their companies by getting a sample for them after they were out for a bit. I think Hunk and Ada both get hyped because of their mystery and their backgrounds. I am guilty of that myself, but they definitely do their jobs with the help of others and are highly trained even when shit hits the fans, so I think they deserve some credit for getting hyped by fans. Yes, we know Ada is manipulative and a user, and we know only Hunk makes it out every time, but hey, thats how Capcom wrote them.

Sidenote I wouldn't take the gameplay too serious because that's for the players entertainment nothing else because some things make no sense. So it's kinda left up to the player's imagination on what really happened in the original.
