WHY do we meditate? There are millions of reasons why, but first and foremost is to be in the present. To see, touch, feel and experience everything going on in the here and now - things that we don’t see, unless we slow down and be present.
Sometimes we meditate and touch that deep sense of peace, where we are timeless and free. And other times, we feel the noise. We notice body aches, we see our thoughts rushing around, we get annoyed at noises in the background, or a myriad of other experiences that we resist. All of that noise is a gift - it’s our “why”.
That noise is how we learn to be ok with not being ok. That noise is how we become a better listener to the people we love. That noise is how we learn to find comfort in the midst of chaos.
It is because of the noise that we learn how to find peace. Profound, right?
