It's really disheartening to see Magic giving away its identity with lowest common denominator IP tie ins. It's no longer valid to respond with, "not every magic product is for everyone," because fully HALF of Magic's releases now will be Universes Beyond. Even if I don't personally have to buy them, I'll have to play opposite them. And I'll be missing out on good mechanical tech if I don't buy them.

This makes me not want to play a game I love. Since the first UB, a lot of us felt like this was inevitable, but up until recently, I had hoped we'd be avoiding it. But we're not, and that feels bad. We were promised that Universes Beyond would always be an add-on. With UB being legal in all formats, and taking up half the release schedule, it's no longer an add-on. It's a mandatory inclusion. My stomach sank when I saw the announcement, and I just... I don't know. I feel like the game I love is dying, and a corporate Fortnite style zombie is rising from its ashes.

Showers in the morning and showers at night are two completely different experiences

i know this is the worst possible time but i really need help

this morning, we found that one of our ferrets, nibbler, has a blockage in her stomach. her stomach is hard to the touch and is having difficulty going to the bathroom. we brought her into the vet and because it’s a sunday, we had to pay extra for emergency. 

my dad is a self-employed handyman and the only provider for our family, and because of the pandemic, he isn’t being paid. we aren’t even sure if we can afford rent and other bills, let alone be able to pay for her surgery. she hasn’t even gotten the surgery yet because we can’t afford it yet. tomorrow we’re going to try going to a different vet and see if we can finance it, but if not, i’m not really sure what to do. the emergency vet sent us home with a $446 bill for just the emergency exam and some antibiotics and steroids. the surgery itself is expected to be at least $1000.

i’m an autistic and disabled nonbinary person and my ferrets are my support animals, i cannot function without them. i’m really really scared for her

i’ve set up a gofundme to help pay for the bill. i know with everyone out of a job right now, everyone’s low on cash, but even just a dollar or even just a reblog could help so so much.

so you dated the wrong person and learned a hard lesson. you chose the wrong major and had to start over again. you cherished a friend who backstabbed you. it sucks, but it’s also going to work out. that’s life; you learn, hurt, love, cry, laugh, and keep going. you experience setbacks and you grow and it’s all okay.
