Short Story

(Gender neutral reader and creature)

A monster that stalks you through the windows, but doesn’t hurt you it just sorta watches. You notice all your rude coworkers even that one rude customer has gone missing and you’re shocked when you see their decapitated heads at your door step, soaking your porch in blood they have already started to rot.

After talking with the police and after they finally let you go home you enter your house to see a broken window and some blood, hearing small whimpers coming from your bedroom you walk in to see the creature that has been stalking you curled up on your bed with some small cuts on it from the glass.

Now you’re here on the bed as the creature cuddles you, it’s all bandaged and nuzzling into your chest as it purrs and makes small sounds almost resembling a cat but just being a bit off. It hasn’t let you go for 5 hours, and with a bit of reluctance you finally give in and hold it back.

*Her ears ring from the sudden gunshots stumbling back hitting the wall of the alleyway, she looks down to see the body of a stranger with several bullet holes in them. As they bleed out the ringing fades away enough for Olivia to hear the sounds of the culprit sprinting away she shakily yet quickly scrambles over and stop the bleeding but it’s too late. They are dead their body not moving not even a pulse, Olivia is so panicked she doesn’t even notice the painless sensation of something going into her skin.*

*Olivia sits at her apartment shaking and crying, the events still fresh in her mind as it had only happened a few days ago. She can’t even properly deal with the trauma, therapy being too expensive and her job won’t let her take any time off*

*knock*

*knock*

*knock*

*Olivia jumps from the sudden noise and tenses but relaxes when she hears a familiar voice*

???: “Olivia? Hey are you okay, can I come inside”

*it was Jessica, of course it was Jessica why wouldn’t it be it’s her closest friend*

*Olivia gets up and walks over to the door still shaking her face wet with tears as she unlocks and opens the door*

Jessica: “Oh god Olivia…are you okay?”

*She hugs her*

Jessica: “Of course your not okay that was a stupid question, here I’ll make you some warm tea go sit down.”

*Jessica shuts the door with her shoe and and locks it quickly before going to the kitchen while Olivia sits down on the couch*

*a few minutes later Jessica sits next to Olivia with the two coffee mugs and gives one to Olivia*

Jessica: “H-Hey you know you can talk to me right? You haven’t said a word to me.”

Olivia: “Yeah…I know I’m just….I don’t know.”

Jessica: “Hey hey it’s okay, I know how hard it must be to go through something like that”

*She takes a sip of the tea, Olivia goes to take a sip as well when suddenly a sudden headache hits her suddenly and she spills coffee all over her shirt*

Olivia: “F-Fuck!”

Jessica: “Shit! I’ll go get you a new shirt hold on”

Olivia: “no no it’s fine I’ll get it I’ll be right back”

*She gets up and walks to the bedroom*

*Jessica sighs and sits back closing her eyes*

*As the weeks go by Olivia slowly acts more and more strange Jessica notices Olivia’s sudden spontaneous headaches seem to have gone away but notices she is acting weird. Not talking as much, seemingly dazed and confused, not seeming to remember their special moments, she even cut her hair. But then again most of those symptoms can be due to the traumatic experience.*

*knock knock knock*

Jessica: “Olivia are you in there?”

Jessica: Olivia?

*She grabs the spare key from her pocket, hands shaking a bit as she opens the door wondering if Olivia is okay, the door creaks open. Nothing, everything is dark, Jessica flips the light switch.*

*click*

*click*

*Nothing, did Olivia not pay her electricity bill?*

Jessica: “Olivia?…”

*Jessica walks in further only to hear, crunching and some sort of wet sound coming from the kitchen*

*she quickly does a light jog to the kitchen*

Jessica: “Oliv- OH GOD!”

*Quickly stumbling back and falling to the floor at the sight of her best friend hunched over her face deformed and her limbs holding her up in a unnatural fashion, Olivia looks up from the mangled rodent she is holding, eyes a bit larger then they were before as they lock onto Jessica.*

Jessica: “Olivi-“

*Before she can finish Olivia’s body rapidly becomes normal, Bones rapidly snapping back in place, Olivia sprints to to her and before Jessica can react her stomach is ripped open as she screams in pain desperately trying to get away. But it’s no use as Olivia rips out her organs and begins to feast.*

.

*after a while Olivia stopped scampering off further into the house as Jessica lays there organs ripped to shreds and devoured as she lays there, she goes to speak but nothing comes out. She’s cold but she can’t feel any pain as her vision slowly fades she desperately tries to hold on but she can’t, her life slowly fades away and with her last breath she fades away.*

*The creature is saving the rest of her for later.*

Idk if someone else has thought of this before, but hear me out on this new worldbuilding headcanon for Minecraft. Phantoms pose the same ecological role as IRL vultures. That being, they eat dead bodies. The reason a lot of them swarm (and even attack) the player when they haven't gotten sleep is because they sense lack of energy (which, for a lot of animals means death is nearby) and assume the player is either dead or dying.

I don't think Sabre is as active with his teams as he should be. His staff team in the Discord has some issues too, but I don't think he's actually aware of it?

I say this because someone used their friendship with staff to get us falsely banned for things in the discord (the shit was outside of the discord anyways) and yet when we tried getting the person banned before ours, things couldn't be done bc it was outside the server. And they we also got a death threat joke that made us uncomfortable and nothing was done about it even when we personally DMed a staff member

I don't think Sabre is active as he should be, or aware of what's going on. I think he's more focused on his personal projects and unintentional neglects the other teams he has, so he's unaware of things they're doing either because of that, or the ppl lie to him bc he doesn't know what actually happened
