i should be able to pelt people with rocks for saying episode 8 was boring/dragged. shorter and more singularly focused than the rest of the season? yes! boring? it is literally the shortest episode of the series. i have unmedicated adhd and i was focused the entire time. i think a lot of you just have poor attention spans/are more concerned about getting answers to the mysteries than the world building or characters cause this ep had tons of that

truly do not get why anyone is saying gemma and miss huang are related or connected in any way. like I saw someone say that she was mark and gemma's kid... like you're just being racist

Gemma’s and Marks chemistry is so entirely off the scale it’s kinda hard for me to care about the Mark Helly/Helena thing anymore. I still find Helly and Helena interesting as characters, but their ships with Mark have been just obliterated by the Mark and Gemma of it all for me. And I say all of that knowing they’re gonna pull something next week that will probably draw me right back in.

i think the sex scenes were way longer than they needed to be. but to be fair, it kind of feels like every scene is a bit longer than it needs to be. very stanley kubrick of them but it makes the episodes feel empty and dissatisfying.

I know this is probably an unpopular opinion but i just dont really care about gemma😔 i think her Haunting the narrative is much more interesting than her actually being there😔 i loved the idea that ms casey was all that was Left of gemma but that the gemma mark knew is gone forever 😔 sorry markgemma fans😔😔😔

Also while today's episode was incredible (i am not blind to good tv even if i dont care) i mostly just missed all the characters i HAVE gotten to know already 🥲 helly and dylan and irving i miss you.... innie mark are you even still "alive" 😔

i think gemma shouldn’t be a doomed character so that mark can “get over” her. i want gemma to live and be angry about being resurrected just to be pushed around and tortured

There's literally no reason why Helena couldn't or won't get a redemption arc and I think she will. I don't get a lot of the hate toward those who sympathize with her. I watch a lot of shows that have villains that are morally grey to outright psychopaths with no hope of ever redeeming themselves and thankfully most ppl accept that reality. Helena Eagen is not anywhere near that point. She is not so far gone that there is no hope for her to become a better person. She is not malicious in a way that shows she takes pleasure in causing pain (her words to her innie do not count towards that, because as confirmed by britt lower herself, she has been taught as a child that innies are sub human. How is a child suppose to question that without punishment or knowing better?). She has a lot of room for growth and that's what we're here for. That's not the same thing as excusing her for what she has done. Her entire life is an example of nature vs nurture. People ought to understand the difference, and if they don't, they should expose themselves to more morally grey characters because that's the only way they're going to understand why there are many who unironically don't believe Helena is Satan like her haters believe.

I wish I found gemma interesting but I fear she's just going to fall into the dead spouse narrative for me. I've seen so many shows with this trope and I feel like that may have ruined her character for me. I do understand her importance to the central plot of severance but herself as a character I just dont find very compelling. Maybe after ep 7 I'll change my mind idk
