Out of the whole multiverse, I land in a place where immigrants and queer kids are bullied and women like my mothers are attacked and denied rights? Nah. That’s not an accident. I think my moms are still guiding me. They’re putting me where I need to be.
There’s so much wrong in this world. There’s evil and prejudice and hate and injustice. But there’s also many people that just need a chance. So much love…
And that’s why I fight. Because you can’t avenge a tragedy. You just make more tragedy. But love? My families, both of them, taught me to fight for love.
And I am one hell of a fighter.

An Ilithid was summoned into the small fishing village of Murkport, the result of an offering to the sea. Its motives are unknown, but now the village continues to work and trade as a hivemind under the control of the illithid. Nobody is entirely sure what to do about this, and the villages nearby are generally too intimidated to stop interacting with Murkport, for fear of the Illithid taking them as well. The larger agrarian settlement closest to the fishing village is planning to raid it and destroy the illithid, and to that end they are sending for adventurers and hunters alike. These threats of violence have not gone unnoticed by Murkport, who insist that they mean no harm, and merely wish to exist in peace. Local settlements are split on what to do, as the frontier where all of these villages exist is a long way from any real military force, and not everybody wants to risk the wrath of a being who’s already enslaved so many.
The sea is angry as of late, raging and storming incessantly, and nobody but the people of Murkport are willing to brave the ocean’s wrath, and a great stone temple has begun construction in the heart of Murkport. Traders from the fishing village offer exorbitant riches for seemingly innocuous items and artifacts, and promise wealth and prosperity. For the poor frontier people of the outer wilds, it’s hard to resist the pull of Murkport.

Ideas for your sea campaign
Sailors have reported a huge monster floating out at sea with a large chunk bitten out of it.
A ship in a bottle with real, actual, very tiny people in it who want to return to their normal size. And also not be in a bottle.
You have a bottle that, any time you place in water, gets a random message in it. All of the messages are from some water filled plane.
Someone thought it would be funny to get a bottle of endless sand and make their own island. Its ruining the local trade route, find it and cork it.
A large area of the continent has been flooded. Adapt and explore the new water infest areas that was once home.

Quick ideas for your desert campaign since you guys liked the ocean one
There is a little shrine that offers shade and a place to sit. A disembodied voice asks you about happenings in the world, what you’ve been up to, and so on. If you give them entertaining stories, or give valuable info, the voice will give advice on how to better survive in the area, or produce a small trinket.
A group of hooligans who get around the desert on shields and sails made of capes who ride the crazy winds.
A crazy looking old man is preaching about the end times. He might be on to something. The sun has slowly been taking longer to come up and longer to go down and keeps getting hotter. Its almost unbearable. Eventually it scorches the land and burns crops, small animals, and even starts small fires.
An old monsterous being has woken up deep below the earth. Its slowly digging its way out of the earth and a large sink hole has appeared where you think the mouth is.
A wizard is trying to bring back an old ocean that dried up long ago, and all the sea creatures with it.
Quick reminder to feel free to send me asks and questions about anything you might need!
