Dearest Seunggi,
Cheers for another year in life, SeungGi-ssi! And though I have not stepped in the walls of your concert venues or fan meetings, or even held any of your original albums, this has been a fruitful year as an Airen. I have met very great Airens from different parts of the world, and though I have only met them online and can count them by my fingers, I am sooooo glad to have met them because we have not only shared fangirling moments while following you Seung-gi-ssi, but a bond and a friendship as well. We not only shared fondness of you--celebrated during your success, stood by you through the issues, and shared stories of your inspiration-- but also learned through your great example.
Seunggi-ssi, I don't know if you could ever read this but I wanted to tell you so much that you have great fans. You have great fans because you are such an inspiring and great person--despite the heodang moments and the feelings of insufficiency you sometimes point out. We learned so much about life through watching you in your interviews, fan meetings, and your reality shows. I want to be a good person like you--kind, considerate and caring.
I believe there are still so many fans out there who--like me-- couldn't even be present in body to show you our support during your shows but surely, from here, through the internet, we yearn for your success. Though you may never read this, I wish for you not only good health and a happy and fruitful life ahead, but a lot more fans--because you can inspire. And I, as your fan, dare dream that you can inspire more people because you deserve it.
Sometimes it might not matter as much but, always know that we Airens are always here to support you; hopefully when you feel down or tired or exhausted and out of spirit, you may remember that you have fans who love you. We'll always be looking out and supporting you! after all, we are your beloved Airens <3 Fighting LeeSeungGi! Happy Birthday!
your fan,
~seunggiinspired, an Airen

SeungGi on the Cover?
Yesterday, I learned through my Airen eonnis (@anista_seungjoo and @elisem1902) that SeungGi and HanHyoJoo has been made to be the cover of a book published here in the Philippines by a well known writer. A teaser was released by the company Precious hearts Romances in face book page bearing the synopsis and this picture:
(Photo Credit: Precious Pages* via facebook)
The synopsis was written in the popular Taglish (Tagalog+English) and since a lot of you maybe curious, I have made my own translation ^_^:
"Sweetheart 19: She Wears my Ring
By:Marth Cecilia
"Ai shite imas, Nyssa-san" She gave her hand and (he) held it. "The presence of your hand and holding it like this balanced me. Everything seems straight and perfect"
Nyssa was wearing the ring Erik dela Torre gave her for twelve whole years. It was given to her when she was sixteen--when her young love was burried by insecurity and fear. She hurt the man who gave that heirloom to her. Erik had OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). He was obssessed with her. Nyssa was scared and humiliated him at the night of the prom in a way she never expected (she would).Erik left San Ignacio than she thought was hurting.Twelve years later she still kept the ring. Nyssa wore it to discourage unwanted suitors. Until she met Kichiro in Tokyo. He was a Daniel Henny look-a-like. She wanted to remove and keep the ring for him. But the subconscious thought of Erik stopped her. She is torn by yesterday and today. Who will finally be her tomorrow?
Translated for Airens; no copyright infringement intended. Translated from the synopsis posted in: Precious Pages (facebook page) Translated by: seunggiinspired.tumblr.com"
Martha Cecilia, as I have mentioned is a prominent writer here in the Philippines, especially to fans of taglish paperback pocketbooks. Her publisher is Precious Hearts Romances, who is also the same company who published Ms. Xandria's works, (a fellow airen, if you may remember). Although I haven't read any of her works yet (blame it on my busy schedule or lack of chances), I believe that she has gained her prominence due to her bold storylines. She gained more popularity particularly because a number of her works were made into afternoon prime time series in one of the leading TV networks here in the Philippines--ABS-CBN, where GuFamilyBook and My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho was also aired. The stars who played parts in the series are also popular so I believe that people paid more attention to it beacause of that. One of these TV adaptations entitled "Impostor (Imposter)" is a gold medal awardee in the International Emmys for the category "Best Telenovela" *^_^* great huh? for a detailed view of her works, click for her Wikipedia page, GoodReads for reviews on her novels and this article from filglobe.com for more info. As to whether "She wears my ring", the novel featured in this blogpost is related of adapted from our dear SeungGi's persona or character in a drama, we still do not know until we lay our hands on the novel itself. Until we know for sure, we Airens are excited, especially us AirenPH. ^_^
have a SEUNGGIful day! ^^

Thank God, We're Airens (A Filipino Airen's Gratitude)
It has been 13 days since the horror typhoon Haiyan (local name:Yolanda) struck the Philippines and left it in shock on the devastation it left the country-- especially our fellow countrymen who were directly affected by the storm. Looking for lost relatives, mourning for dead family, begging for food, searching hard for strong shelter, haunting for potable water--these are the scenes that haunt our television screens, radio broadcasts and timelines, but not only that--these are the scenes--multiplied by the hundred or the thousands--that happen in reality at ground zero 'till today.
It breaks our hearts to see our fellow men cry for their lives everyday, and to think that many of these are the very same people who, thirteen days ago were like us, happily waiting and anticipating the celebration of the Christmas season--like what we do every year; Thinking about what food to prepare, gifts to buy and happy stories to share to love ones. But to put their devastation in words is simply impossible as I frankly do not know the depth of their sorrow--and I, especially because they are my fellow countrymen, don't want to pin down their sorrow into my humble words because what they have had to suffer was unimaginably severe that it shocked the whole world.
And to see that the world has been moved to help these people is greatly touching, especially to the Filipino heart. We are all connected to them by blood, heart and culture and their sorrow has been also ours--even when we don't actually experience what they do experience. And to see that the world cares to help our dear countrymen is such a nice picture to imagine. Especially for the support and help to come from a fan club like the Airen Community is very overwhelming for me personally.
There they were thinking fanclubs were just unified to support a certain bias--in our case the formidable Lee SeungGi; but thank you for showing your care and support by your simple words of encouragement; as words of encouragement go a long way. I may just be a simple Filipino Airen, not even affected by the typhoon, and because of that I may not have the proper right to thank you; but I'll do it anyway, in behalf of my countrymen, because there would be a lot of people out there, especially fellow Airens who were affected, that would want to say it but couldn't--because of their wiped out resources, and their current living conditions.
On November 10, a fellow Airen PH member (Grace Dumalo Yumang) posted on our facebook group sharing a screen cap of a comment posted to encourage our fellow airens who have suffered the equally devastating eathquake that happened in Visayas just almost a weekT before the typhoon struck. This was the comment's screen cap (credit: Grace Dumalo Yumang
I went into that site and indeed, I saw a lot of comments cheering for the Philippines. (Yes, with my meager knowledge of reading korean, I understood that a lot were saying "fighting" or "힘내세요(hinmneseyo)" or be strong). It warmed my heart that a lot of international Airens are rooting for us, giving us strength as slowly we recover from the horrors that these past events left us. And not only that, the moment I went to lsgkwa site upon that eonni's recommendation, I saw a lot more international Airens giving us love, even the WorldStaff commented, and I quote "Stay strong! We are with you! Philippines Airen, fighting!!"
This plus, @LSGSingapore's tweet last November 17, urging Singapore Airens to contribute or donate via DBS/POSB or OSBC for relief funds (credit: @LSGSingapore via twitter) makes me proud to be an Airen <3
Singapore Airen~ You can help them~ Your contribution can bring comfort and deliver hope. http://t.co/xTXUhnP8GA pic.twitter.com/b2Rj1ADxH3
— LSG Singapore (@LSGSingapore)
November 17, 2013
No wonder our staff from Airen PH, Chacha eonni, posted a thread in lsgkwa with a title "[To Worldren] Thanks for your prayers and Concern" and the following content:
"On behalf of us all from Airen Philippines admin and staff and all of our members, we are truly thankful to all of you for your kindness, concern and cheer for our fellow Filipino people that has been badly affected by the recent typhoon. The death toll continually rises. Houses were shattered. A lot are still missing. Survivors are still suffering due to lack of food, water, shelter etc. because infrastructures were all ruined by the typhoon. It is indeed very saddening to see what happened to them. We couldn't thank you enough for all your concerns our dear worldren. It brings us faith and hope that our country can get through this. I know that we can. That's why right now, Airen Philippines is joining hand in hand in gathering donations for our fellow countrymen. We hope that by sharing Seung Gi's love through this small gesture of sharing what we have to them could bring a little smile to their faces and know that they are not alone. Please continue to pray for us, as it is very much appreciated by us all. ^^ Fighting Airens! Fighting Worldren! Fighting Philippines!"
SeungGi's inspiration indeed should not be taken lightly by anybody. With this, I end by quoting, Grace eonni again by saying "we will bounce back for sure, bcoz of your love and support. thank you very much world airens!"

Airen Sharing: Someone I Love (A Novel)
By: seunggiinspired.tumblr.com
In light of the just-released Novel and DVD of Ms. Yoshimoto Banana's novel in Japan, I feel the need to "review" one of our very own, fellow Airen's work, even though I have not much right or authority to do so. But hang on a while as I also feel the need to give you a little background on some things: Yes, we have a fellow Airen who is a published writer here in the Philippines. I have met her through our group, Airen PH but haven't personally talked or PM-ed with her yet; so for this moment, I will introduce her to you as Ms."Xandria" her Penname under the publisher Precious Hearts Romances. Precious Hearts Romances is a publishing house which publishes Taglish (Tagalog + English) romance paperback novels and along with Harlequin Mills & Boon, Translates several English novels into Filipino. (For more information on their site, please click here)
Going back to Ms. Xandria, yes, she's an Airen like you and me. But out of her creativity, she shares her novels that are made after and inspired by the images that our dear Lee Seung Gi portrays in his dramas and music videos. To date, if I am not wrong, she has already published eight (8) novels from that Publishing house and four of those are Airen-dedicated. Cool right? Those four novels are: Someone I Love, Words that Are Hard To Say, Just You and the just-released (which I still don't have--huhuhu) Because You're My Woman. Sound Familiar?
Yes, you're truly an Airen if you know that the latter three titles are also titles of our dear LSG's songs. Oh but wait, what's up with the first one? Well it’s the translation of the Chinese word "Ai ren" of which our fan club is named after. Are you thrilled?! Hihih I was very thrilled to have found this out because I have always praised Airens to be creative fans and this--this is a living proof! ^^
I have collected 5 out of 8 of her novels, but because I'm having a crazy month after buying them, I was just able to finish one at the moment, and that's "Someone I Love." Ms. Xandria, in the dedication page explained to the readers how "Airen" is the name of the official fan club of our Lee Seung Gi (talk about sharing your bias!) and how, through this novel, the reader will come to know what the word Airen really means. Of course if you're not speaking Chinese or Japanese or any language who doesn't know that "Airen" is actually a word that means something, you would need explanation for that--especially since the heroine in this novel is named "Airen." She dedicated this novel to us all Airens and to AirenPH to which she also gave a brief history about. This fact is very heartwarming because she represented how proud we are of our Mr. Lee.
But that in itself is not the only thing that's special but the novel she made as well. It's a twelve-chapter, 126-page novel telling the story of two hearts--Airen and Luigi Lee-- who were broken by fear, and after 10 long miserable years, brought together by revenge, linked by love, and challenged by trust. This novel greatly reminded me of the story of the MV of Seung Gi's song "Words that Are Hard to Say"--like what happened 10 years after the sad ending of that MV. What happened to the guy that was smart and cared for this girl that had a gangster ex-boyfriend. How did time and circumstances change him? How did it change Her?
Waaaaaa! Are your imaginations travelling? Hihihi I do hope that international Airens could be able to read her novels too. Maybe ask her? Hihih ^^ with that thought, I won't spoil the whole novel for you (especially since fellow AirenPH members might read this too). I look forward to reading the rest of her novels. Heck after this I'm going straight to the next one! I've read the personality of the hero there is inspired by Lee Jae Ha, Seung Gi's character in King 2 Hearts! But I'll tell you about that next time. You'll wait for my next sharing right? Hahaha <<thick-faced
Thank you for reading this article and reading my humble blog! Hihih I have not much to offer but I plan to prove that Airens aren't just fans, but creative and loving fans! Hwaiting Lee Seung Gi! Hwaiting Airens! With that I bid you goodbye, and as an Airen eonni always tell me…
"Spread the Seunggi love!" <3

"Shall We Fall In Love" by Ms Banana--An Airen Review
by: @simplyinspired4
<many thanks to @YulingSG/speciallyforlsg.livejournal.com fro helping me with some information on this one, and for her blog where I pulled most of the chunks of this article hihih ^_^ Thankyouuuuu!>
Being an Airen and a frustrated writer, Lee Seung Gi has been the inspiration of some of my amateur works. But just when I thought I was the only one (a silly and selfish thought)--I began to see that a lot more are inspired by Seung Gi. I haven't been active in catching up with Seung Gi updates until recently when I finally finished school. And so it was just lately while reading a blog of an eonni I met of facebook that I learned about Ms. Yoshimoto Banana's novel "Shall We Fall in Love."
As a native of the Philippines, speaking only English, Filipino and a teeny bit of Mandarin Chinese, I could only rely on translations for these things and I am very thankful to have dedicated Airens help understand little bits of Seung-gi related stuff that would have only been available for the indulgence of those who could understand the language of which these things are written.
It was from this that I was able to read the fine work of art modeled from the character of Lee Seung Gi [1], "Shall We Fall In Love." The thought of a novel with a protagonist as Lee Seung Gi was exciting and so I indulged in reading.
The piece turned out to be some sort of narration of what-would-be our Mr. Lee's thoughts about love, his life as a celebrity, his relationship with his family, of himself, and the things around him. As a reader, I became lost in those thoughts and with Ms. Banana's heartwarming, sincere and consistent writing that at some time, I forgot it was a work of fiction. To have imagined that our Mr. Lee have at one point felt similar to any one of the chapters was somehow heartbreaking--It makes me wish that I could do so much more for him as a fan as he has been making so many people happy. But, despite that,it was also inspiring, as the words and the tone of the novel jives very well with the image and aura of Seung Gi.
Now that I look at it now, away from the emotions I felt as I was reading it--as a writer (a frustrated one), it shows that Ms. Yoshimoto has a deep understanding of Mr. Lee <well she said she would be a Seung Gi fan [2] ^_^>--if not all human personalities. The piece shows how a personal writer she is--so relate-able and so grounded. It told me about how keen she is about revealing things about Mr. Lee that would remind us that he is indeed the model of the story--not too much at such a degree that it looks forced, and also, not too little that it would feel as if it was not him anymore. It was just the right mixture and balance of Lee Seung Gi that she portrayed, and not overprowering-ly biased and yet not at all showing a bad image of him--if anything, Ms. Yoshimoto was able to remind us, (especially the Airens=us) that Seung Gi is indeed also but a regular person, who loves and hurts like we do aside from him being a big celebrity who can do all the things he does.
Ms. Yoshimoto Banana's work is indeed commendable, no wonder she is famous and multi-awarded! Just thinking of how our Seung Gi inspired a famous Japanese writer makes me an even prouder fan! <for more information about Ms. Banana and her works please see links [5], [6] and [7].>
The said serialized novel was launched in the April 10, 2013 issue of An-An magazine along with an interview of Seung Gi regarding his views on becoming the novel's model [Please see link in #3]. The 7-Chapter novel was published by part every month and released its last chapter last September 18, 2013.
And in case you are a bit behind the news, hihihih ^_^ I am actually very excited about what I read last night September 21, on twitter as Airens had been buzzing with excitement as Ms. Yoshimoto Banana tweeted [4] that her Japanese Fictional Novel "Shall We Fall In Love?" was going to be released by with a DVD on October 7, 2013 during Seung Gi's Japan Concert. Airens look forward to getting their own copy if it were to be released in public. What could be in the DVD? I am curious! But I really do hope she could consider releasing an English version for non-Japanese speakers' sake.
For non-Japanese natives who have not read the novel yet, I have provided links below of the site from which I have read it from. The admin (@YulingSG/speciallyforlsg.livejournal.com) translated it herself from Chinese to English based from the Japanese to Chinese Translations of weichunli1 on baidu. Such hard working airens! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did

What the name Lee Seung Gi (이승기) Means
Do you know what Seung Gi's name means? hihih
A dedicated fellow Airen, and eonni shared us this info, and I was amazed about how his name really represents him well! No wonder he is full of inspiration! you might enjoy this the way I did! hihihih <3 (special thanks to @elisem1902 for allowing me to share this)
------------------------------------------------------------
Since Seung Gi is in Taiwan, I thought I'd share with fellow Airens his Korean name in hanja, which is Korean for Chinese characters. All Koreans have Chinese characters behind their Korean name. Parents usually bestow a name that they hope their child will embody. Lee Seung Gi's name in hanja is:
李昇基
The first character on your left stands for Lee or in Hangul, 이. It means plum tree in Chinese characters. It is also a common family surname in Korea. Lees have many clans in Korea so if two Koreans with the same Lee meet, they ask each other which clan they come from. If memory serves me right, I believe Seung Gi said on 1Night2Days that he came from the Cheonju Lee clan. Admiral Yi Soon Shin who was a character in the Gu Family Book was from the Deoksu Lee Clan.
The second character in the middle is Seung or in Hangul, 승. Seung Gi's hanja for this part of his name means rising, or elevating. The upper character represents the sun, and one of the meanings of this character is "the sun rising".
The third character on your right is Gi or in Hangul, 기. Seung Gi's hanja for this part of his name stands for foundation.
Seung Gi's first name would then mean "rising from a firm foundation."
In Chinese, Lee Seung Gi's name is pronounced lǐ shēng jī In Korean, 이승기 is his name spelled in Hangul, which is based on phoentics, not meaning like Chinese characters. It would be prounounced phoentically as Yi Seung Gi. There is no L in the Korean alphabet, but it is common to see 이 spelled in English with an L as in Lee or a Y, which has a more accurate pronunciation in Korean, the L in his last name is silent. Sometimes, they use a different hanja for the Seung part of his name, 勝 , which means victory. The media in many Asian countries including Korea also spell his name incorrectly -李勝基 when it should be 李昇基. Hook entertainment released a statement regarding the correct Chinese version of his name a while ago after Seung Gi started to become more active in Asia.

dedicated to seunggi
so.. I have this group in facebook. its generally a group for me and my k-fan friends but I realized that whenever I fan girl and want to share things, I ended up flooding the whole group making it look like a seunggi group. and so I joined seunggi groups and I am still active in them because its sooo much fun interacting with those who are as "insane as you are"! but you know, sometimes, I think it would be nice to have my own space.
I'm still thinking about whether I should post updates. hmmm... I don't know if I can hold such responsibility as the other bigger blogs who are so up-to-date that even I visit there! so maybe for now I ought to lay low. If anything, I would want to re-blog fan accounts to celebrate the inspiration SeungGi imparts to his fans--their success stories because of our bias' inspiration.
As for my own contribution on this blog, I plan to make this as a creative blog in which I express my love for my ultimate bias--since I cannot show it by attending fanmeetings or concerts, even buying merchandise nor help anyone with translations orgive original fancams and fanpics which by the way I suck at taking if the chance were granted to me. But I'll get there someday--I'll be one of the crazy ones too, but for now, I guess, I ought to make something out of my fandom since Lee Seung Gi is full of inspiration, I ought to be productive whilst following him. I want to deserve to be his fan. and so I will! I hope that I can help spread the LeeSeungGi inspiration through my humble blog. thanks for visiting!
