The story isn't out yet, though they said they're going to change some of the details. The title hasn't even been finalized yet, so I can't help with that either.

But there will be a fic, that much they can promise.

After narrating and roleplaying Cinderella the first time, Dick invites Cass over again and this time, tells the story of Yeh-Shen.

Featuring Steph as the evil Steph-mother and Tim as the golden-eyed fish.

(I highly recommend reading the story. It’s one of the oldest Cinderella stories, first recorded in an ancient Chinese manuscript from the T'ang dynasty (618-907 A.D.))

“Grayson?”

M, sensing a family drama, excuses himself, trusting that the God Garden can handle anything that might go wrong.

The creature finally notices them and tilts his head curiously. “Dick’s family, I presume?”

His voice was unlike anything they’ve ever heard. It echoes and sounds like a chorus of people talking at the same time, melodic and alluring. It fogs their mind long enough for the question to register a bit late.

“You’re not big brother,” Cass finally says.

“Indeed, I’m not. But don’t worry, he’s all right.”

“What did you do to Nightwing?” Bruce growls at the spirit.

“You must be Bruce.” Blue glowing eyes give him a once over and Bruce suddenly feels like a specimen on a glass slide, scrutinized under a micrscope. “I see what he means.” The dismissal and disappointment in that voice coupled with Dick’s visage sends a pang through his chest.

“Cut that mystic bullshit and tell us where Dick is!” Jason interrupts.

The spirit merely tuts like a chastising parent and both Red Hood and Robin look ready to explode. Before they could, Tim steps forward, hands in a placating gesture, “Please, what happened to Dick? We need to know.”

After another long assessing stare, the spirit sighs. “If you must know, he is alive,” he gestures at the pearl embedded in his chest. “He’s asleep, somewhere deep inside. For the meantime, I’m in control of his body.”

Damian quickly unsheathes his sword and launches himself at the spirit, but Cass thankfully catches him before his sword reached the surface of the tank. “Unhand me, Cain! I need to make this creature release Grayson –”

A sharp laugh echoes throughout their minds.

“Are you all assuming I possessed his body against his will?”

Bruce narrows his eyes, “What do you mean?”

The smile is as sharp as his teeth, the mocking glint in his eye visible despite its unnatural glow. Something heavy drops at the pit of their stomach.

“What makes you think he didn’t have a choice?”

My hyperfixation for Dick Grayson has resurfaced once again (with bonus story)

Nightwing's last transmission was during a solo bust of stolen museum artifacts by the docks. After hours of radio silence, which was highly unusual, his signal went dark and Batman himself came to investigate only discover a horrifying sight. Scattered and abandoned artifacts, and bodies floating facedown on the Gotham Bay. Nightwing is nowhere to be seen.

After a month of fruitless searching by the Batfam, good news came in the form of Midnighter opening a door outside one of the cave entrance. However, the word good might be a tad subjective. 

M first let his reluctance known, but because it is Grayson, he allowed Batman, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, and Black Bat a one-time ticket to the God Garden. He led them through numerous passageways and corridors full of different enclosures and creatures before entering a large room full of floor-to-ceiling water tanks. Robin was the first to notice and ran towards one of the larger tanks, full of sea flora and an underwater landscape. Leisurely swimming is a creature resembling a merman, only looking more sinister than the usual ones in Cassandra's fairytale books. Long dark blue tail -- almost black -- with electric blue luminous scales, barnacles growing on parts of bare human skin, sharp nails, and fin-like portrusions starting from his collarbones up and down his shoulderblades, almost resembling wings. The creature was no doubt otherwordly in its appearance, however, no one could mistake the handsome face of Dick Grayson. Suddenly, finding the answer felt like a treasure chest containing only another map inside. The barrage of questions were inevitable, especially for a family of detectives. M and Apollo found him by chance while in a mission for Stormwatch. It took quite a bit of investigating, consultations with the Gardener, and finally being able to talk to Grayson himself before they found out what happened. A pearl necklace that housed an ancient water spirit, a spirit of pure aura closely resembling an Undine and a siren. A necklace, that under any circumstance, should not touch any large body of water.
