"Giant Green Anemone" (Anthopleura xanthogrammica)

Also known as the Green Surf Anemone, Green Anemone, Solitary Anemone, Rough Anemone, and the Giant Tidepool Anemone, Anthopleura xanthogrammica is a species of Actiniid sea anemone that inhabits low to mid intertidal zones in the Pacific Ocean, ranging from Alaska to Southern California and rarely down to Panama. Like other sea anemones A. xanthogrammica sports several nemoatocyst lined tentacles which are used to paralyze and capture prey that wanders too close. Phoyosynthetic algae of the genus Zoochlorella and dinoflagellates of the genus Symbiodinium live in the tissue and gut of A. xanthogrammica, in this symbiotic relationship they will provide nutrients to the anemone via photosynthesis (partly giving the anemone its green coloration) and in turn they get a safe place to reside.

Rough-toothed Dolphin (Steno bredanensis)

…a species of dolphin (Delphinidae) whose true range is not well known but they are known to inhabit the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, and in the Mediterranean Sea, in warm temperate to tropical waters. Like many other dolphins S. bredanensis are social animals and in will form groups (pods) of around 10-20 individuals, however solitary individuals are also fairly common. S. bredanensis will feed on a variety of small fish including smelts, cutlassfish, silversides, and others. They will also feed on squids and other molluscs. S. bredanensis' specific name honors van Breda who studied Georges Cuvier's writings (who described S. bredanensis)

…a species of false cowry (Ovulidae) that occurs in the waters off the coast of Southern California. Like other ovulids Simnia barbarensis is a carnivore and will live on/feed on the polyps/tissue of various anthozoans, typically sea fans and soft corals.
