With the upcoming break Drawtectives season 3 will have, I felt the need to do a series of stylized portraits of my favorite cookies in the season 3 outfits. Love them all so much, they are my best friends and always make my evenings better.

I think Varian should call Hugo “Blondie” but kind of unintentionally. It just comes out. He’s so used to hearing Eugene affectionately refer to his beloved partner as Blondie, that when Varian and Hugo become close, he too begins to affectionately refer to Hugo as Blondie.

He’s not intentionally trying to copy Eugene, he doesn’t even realize what he’s doing, until he does it in front of him- and dies of embarrassment. Rapunzel thinks it’s adorable though.

And even if Eugene vehemently hates Hugo at the time, he can’t help but be a little fond of how he rubbed off on Varian.
