8. Did they have pets as a child? Do they have pets as an adult? Do they like animals? 

She had one pet as a child - Flippers the Goldfish! Her parents didn’t quite like the idea of having a high-maintenance pet aboard the Mythril, so they opted for a goldfish that would be easy to feed and clean! She treated him like a good member of the family.

As an adult, she still has Grabanhold - a crocodile-like creature that was twice the size of an adult male human - and that was just from feet to the top of the head! Really, he was Talula’s pet when Drea was younger and newly merged with Era, but who’s to say they can’t share a pet? Other than him, Dare doesn’t quite have pets as an adult - she can’t stand the idea of them passing on before her. But she does love animals!

9. Do animals like them? Do they get on well with animals? 

Yes! Ever since she was but a wee babe, her fathers would tease her about being a princess since she attracted all sorts of animals - even skittish ones would go towards her (as long as she had food to coax them with!). She wanted to be a foster for animals when she grew up, but as we all know, fate had other plans. 

 24.  What is their sleeping pattern like? Do they snore? What do they like to sleep on? A soft or hard mattress?

She’s actually eerily silent, and has given Talula quite a fright when she was younger. The only times she’s heard is when she’s whining and tossing and turning when she has nightmares - which is often - but other than that, she’s quiet. 

As a young child, she preferred softer mattresses, having been spoilt by her fathers. But as an adult, she prefers harder mattresses that don’t sink under her - trust me, she’d love a soft mattress, but they’re harder to get out of quickly than a hard one.

The pitter-pattering of tiny, bare feet ran through the Star Hopper, circling and circling and circling the ship while the triplets laughed and hollered and got underfoot of the crew. When one of them fell, the other two weren’t long to trip over the body under their feet so they became a tangle of limbs and thrashing tails and giggles.

They startled the Nikto engineer and left the Twi’lek medic cursing when she tripped over them to drop her supplies; bottles and wraps scattered on the floor around her feet. The siblings only glanced at each other, then at her, then bolted for the opposite side of the ship while she muttered profanities in Ryl.

“Whoa, there! C’mere.”

I need every single person to understand how horrible tumblr’s tagging system is

I go into the tag for epilepsy and its all flashing lights. We can’t use our own tag because people without epilepsy fill it up with improper warnings.

Use ‘flashing’ in place of ‘epilepsy’ in your tags. You aren’t warning people of epileptics, you’re warning us of flashing lights. Please please tag properly. Epileptics say this endlessly and constantly and it’s ignored. You are risking lives by doing this.

Story ideas for characters I’ve got kinda fleshed out!

After her mother’s sudden death to an illness, Kaylier decides to finally search for her estranged father - a notorious pirate - with the help of a former captain past his glory days.

Jackie is a Seer - she can see things nobody else can. And when she meets a kindly ghost stuck on earth young, ambitious Jackie takes it upon herself to help her move on - even if it means confronting the killer.

River Kido is a young self-taught photographer, capturing pictures of celebrities, landscapes, and everyday life. She’s gotten quite a name with the celebs, as she always has consensual stills of them, and is often invited as a photographer to exclusive parties. But she has her secrets, too, and it isn’t long before she’s being hunted down by the Underworld.

Dust and Ghost are rivals - always have been, always will be. But a fight during a storm sweeps them away from their floating island home and straight to the world below. Now they must figure out how to return - and maybe save the world while they’re at it.

I chose them because their backstories are the most solid right now! If you’d read a comic about one of these, who would it be? :’0

Ive been trying to practice small animations on Clip Studio but I must say it h u r t s IM GETTING A BACHELLOR’S IN THIS WHY AM I SO BAD AT THIS

I was wondering, since you make lots of comics and the like, if you might have any sources or advice yourself in understanding how to set up comic panels? I've struggled for forever to figure out the formula, and always hit brick walls of answers that are too vague or say that there aren't hard rules. I understand that, but I still don't understand the 'flow' concept and how that effects panel size or shape. There must be SOME structure, surly! Some concept or formula to creating pages! Help ;-;

hi! well I’m still learning too but usually it depends from page to page and what’s going on in it!

if you want a page to have more breathing room you can even have just 2-3 panels for page, most pages have 4-6 panels (usually never more than 6 regular panels, that’s way too crammed by most comics standards, unless the panels are very “fragmented”, then it can be a few more)

I usually just do very quick sketches and write down some text first the way I imagine them spaced out on the page, then I do some rearranging and sketch the panels around them, so rather than just adapting the picture to the panels, I also adapt the panel to the picture

there’s also something like text to image ratio, if there’s too much text I prefer to have it spaced out through more pages rather than covering half of the same page with text skdjf

the panels related to flow part is tricky to explain bc a larger panel can be for reasons like context (background, other characters), and be a “slow”/still panel but it could also be a more action-y panel and stuff like that

and ngl a lot of panels will just be rectangles when characters are talking or if the pacing is slow

this variant is also common

the other kinds of panels are usually just if it’s an action page of some sort

there’s also stuff like personal preference etc, hope this helps lmaoo

She knew what to expect. She knew they were coming. She knew she fucked up the moment she pulled the trigger.

She wasn’t expecting them to come so quickly though.

But, then again, she barely had any materials to make a camp, and the fire was a beacon in the dark night.

Three figures were holding back Magpie, who neighed frantically and bucked.

“Leave her alone,” Tanner cried, her own arms held back by two figures whose faces she couldn’t quite read. The fire had been put out. She was in total darkness. 

Yet they seemed to be able to navigate around the makeshift campsite just fine.

“My, my. Look at you.”

An all too familiar voice. Tanner tensed up, her breath caught in her throat. 

“No...”

Tanner grunted when her chin was grabbed by the figure in front of her, eyes slowly easing up to the darkness. That chiseled face, those painted lips, and blue eyes that almost sparkled in the moonlight.

“Fuck off,” Tanner spat, crying out when her arms twisted at an odd angle. “Fuck!”

“Do you know who I am?” That soft yet threatening voice. 

Silence.

“Well?”

“Don’t be like that.” Tanner spat through clenched teeth, then gasped when her legs were wiped away from under her and she fell painfully to the ground on her knees.

In front of her, the woman took Tanner’s chin in her hand again. 

“Well?”

Tanner hissed, pretty sure she felt a shoulder pop. Mustering up all the strength she had, she grinned at her.

“How could I... forget such a pretty face, Reina?”
