was doodling stuff about 13 y.o Grace and Simon finding random items lost by former passengers. drew the cd player I had as a teenager. then a very old Evanescence song came up on shuffle and I just HAD to draw the resulting mental picture because it was too funny to ignore

I need to be insane about rymin omg. It’s a different flavor of insane than three years ago. It’s the idea that these two fools went and followed their hearts, their dreams, and in most popular head canons, they don’t really achieve fame, but they end up happy and fulfilled. Things worked out for them and now they’re somewhere, almost 60, with each other and still playing music. It’s the idea that even if things aren’t figured out right now, the future can still hold something so beautiful

rewatching infinity train and man. thinking about book 3 and how they all wanted to get their numbers up and for the most part it was working but there seemed to be a cap or sorts. like no one ever got their number higher than their arm y’know? i think it’s because a part of the train is about trust and relationships and loyalty, mainly to the denizens but to other passengers and people as well. their numbers went up bc they were assholes to the denizens but stayed low ish bc they were loyal to each other, specially simon and grace. amelia’s number went so high because she didn’t care about anyone. not the passengers not the denizens, no one but herself and her own happiness. she had no loyalty or respect and that’s how her number was able to go up so high. and when simon officially betrays grace and leaves her in her memories we see his number shoot up instantly from still being hidden under his sleeve to peaking over his collar because the biggest loyalty and love he had he has now turned his back on. again when he’s fighting grace his number goes down both arms and up his neck but not on his face or legs but as soon as he pushes grace off the bridge again it shoots up his face and down his legs as he once again forsakes the only bond he has. and in turn through the season graces number goes down as she bonds w hazel, a denizen, and tries to save and forgive simon after their fight. slightly unrelated min and ryan’s number went down whenever they were laughing or genuinely having fun together. so much of the train is about love. tulip gets her exit by being loyal and loving to atticus and one one. jesse gets his exit when saying he’d never leave lake. similarly, ryan temporarily gets his exit when he promises not to leave min, and it disappears the second he considers taking it without him. it’s about loveeeee it’s always been about loveeeee im tearing out my hair.

TRADUCCIÓN DE LOS TEXTOS:

Me gusta mucho pensar que Min-Gi dejó la universidad y escapó de todo para ir con Ryan a vivir el sueño de Rock Stars que tenían, sin embargo los problemas económicos no tardaron en llegar, y ser un extranjero en EEUU y encima gays es uno de los más grandes limitantes a la hora de querer tener una vida ESTABLE, así que no la veo como una posibilidad muy lejana a eso de que en algún punto tuvieron que empezar a elegir entre pagar plata para el pasaje o para la comida (Obviamente luego tuvieron que enfrentar a la mamá de Min-Gi y explicar su situación para pedir prestado algo de sustento económico)

Sin duda, no creo que estos dos hayan llegado a tener una pelea a los golpes realmente, pero sí micro discusiones que con el tiempo aprendieron a resolver, porque.. "llegaste aquí conmigo.. así que ahora tendrás que soportarme"

I really like to think that Min-Gi left the university and escaped from everything to go with Ryan to live the dream of Rock Stars that they had, however the economic problems did not take long to arrive, and being a foreigner in the US and on top of that being GAY is one of the biggest limitations when it comes to wanting to have a STABLE life, so I see it as a possibility that at some point they had to start choosing between wasting money for the ticket or for food (Obviously they had to face Min-Gi's mother and explain their situation to borrow some financial support)

Without a doubt, I don't think these two really had a fight like: "👊💥👊👊💥💥" but they did have micro discussions that over time they learned to resolve, because... "you stuck with me.. so now you're stuck with me"
