A Moment of Rest
Summary: Yes studying is important but your health is too. Allow Satan to cuddle you and rest awhile. Warnings: None Word Count: 0.9k
A/N: Happy belated birthday to one of my favorite demon brothers. Another self indulgent fic basically just a reminder for myself.
It's finals week and you are NOT prepared. It's not like you haven't been paying attention in class, no, quite the opposite. You always gave the professor your full attention, it was those pesky brothers. Any spare moment you had was instantly taken up by one of them pulling you away to do any and every thing with them. It seemed like you could never get an actual moment of silence around the House of Lamentation. R.A.D. wasn't even a suggestion of a study spot, if the brothers weren't going to bother you it was random other demons that would love to pester the 'lowly human' in their halls. Your room was just a ticking time bomb of a trap. The brothers have almost no respect for what is your private domain.
With a heavy sigh you make your way through the halls of The House of Lamentation, trying to figure out where you could go to study in peace. Like your body went on autopilot, you find yourself stopped in front of the Avatar of Wrath's bedroom door. He was the one most likely to allow you to study in silence. You knock on the old wooden door, sounds of rusting pages follow quickly after.
"For the last time Asmodeus, I'm not-!" Satan swings his bedroom door open, dark green aura dissipating after seeing your face. "-oh! MC, I apologize, I thought my brother was back to try and drag me out to some jewelry store again. Please, come in." He gestures for you to enter.
"I'm sorry if this is a bad time, Satan." You're careful to step over the sprawled out books on the floor of the room. There were more than usual so you'd assume he was working on something important.
"No need, I was simply trying to find a certain encyclopedia I was gifted. Was there something I could do for you?" Satan leans against his desk with his arms crossed.
"I was just wondering if I could study in your room for a bit. I need a quiet place to cram for finals." You let out an airy laugh. "Your room seemed like the prime location for some peace and quiet."
"Of course, feel free to set up all your notes and textbooks on my desk. You don't mind me studying in here with you, do you?" He takes his own textbooks off his desk to make room for you.
"I mean, it's your room. It'd be rude to kick you out."
"Hah, I'm just making sure. Didn't want to distract you from your studies." He settles himself on the floor in front of his bed, motioning for you to take the desk chair. You spread your books across his desk and start your nose dive into the long cram session ahead of you.
The room has been silent for hours, the only noises being heard were pages turning and pencils scratching. The occasional long sigh would leave your lips causing Satan to peak from his own work at your slowly slouching form. Once he witnessed the tension in your shoulders as you rub your face he decides it has been long enough.
"Alright, come here." Satan snaps his textbook shut and lifts himself back onto his bed. You look back to him with a confused expression. He leans himself back against the headboard, legs spread wide enough for you to lay between them. "I said come here." His voice was stern, no anger was present though.
"I need to keep studying, this test is first thing tomorrow morning and I can't afford to get anything below a B." Your eyes burned, they've felt that way for a good while now but you need to push through it. These tests weren't easy and you needed to pass at all costs.
"You're doing yourself no favors by forcing your eyes to stay open. Have you even retained any of the words you've been reading?"
You haven't. Your head has been pounding due to the pain in your eyes which reminded you that your shoulders hurt from slouching. The pain through your body became all too clear now that the blonde has distracted you from the mind numbing task in front of you.
"Come on, stop trying to fight me on this. You need a moment of rest." Satan's arms are held open, welcoming you into his embrace. Dragging yourself up from your seat with a groan, you slowly trudge your way to the demon's bed, accidentally kicking some books on the way. Normally he would be offended that books were treated so poorly but there was a chance that if he spoke up it would stop you from laying down with him.
With a hefty flop you plant yourself between the blonde's legs. He wraps his arms around you and adjusts your position. Your head rests on his chest, one hand on the crook of his neck that you could occasionally move up to mess with his soft golden locks. His hands caress your back, fingers rubbing small circles into your skin. The soothing motion paired with his soft breath was lulling you into a much needed slumber.
"I'm proud of you, you know?" Satan hums into your hair. "You've been working very hard, I know you're going to do wonderfully." He leaves a soft kiss on the crown of your head.
With those final words, you were finally able to drift off to sleep.

Way of the Sword
Summary: Zoro doesn't have the first clue of how a relationship works. He is oblivious and scared, not wanting to screw things up before they begin. (GN!Reader) Warnings: None Word Count: 1.9k
A/N: I am of the belief that Zoro is an absolute dunce when it comes to relationships, lemme show you how to love dumbass <3
Zoro and you have been together for a few months now, at least that's what you believed. You aren't entirely sure to be honest. Neither of you have flat out said that you were together but your relationship is clearly past just friends. Zoro hung around you more, called after you to follow behind him on the ship, and requested that he be the one to accompany you on island ventures. He clearly wants you around him more, it's not like anything happens much past that though. He has you watch him train and asks if you would like to join him, but doesn't touch you to change your form. Only giving you audible directions until you get it right or he gives up. He asks you to join his naps on deck but keeps his distance. Even on shopping trips, if you try to grab his hand to get him walking in the correct direction he will snatch it back and refuse to look at you for the rest of the outing.
-///-
When morning comes around on the ship Zoro makes sure to plant himself outside your door. Recently it has become a habit to walk with each other to the kitchen for breakfast. Most of the time it was you going to him but since he was on night watch he was already awake and waiting on you. The creak of the door opening makes his focus shift from the open sea to your room. A small smile crosses his face as you emerge from your den.
"Good morning, Zoro." You smile at the green-haired man, still rubbing last night's sleep off your eyes.
"Mornin'." His dark eyes quickly leave your face, the tips of his ears dusting over with a light blush. He starts off your morning walk to the front of the ship. "How did you sleep?"
"I slept alright, definitely better knowing you were watching over the ship." You turn your head down to watch your feet as you follow the swordsman to the kitchen, not wanting him to see your own blush forming on your cheeks.
"I-," Zoro pauses, allowing his blush to creep over his cheeks, "I will always keep you safe." He looks over at you from the corner of his eye. He can't look at you straight in the face, speaking like this was unusual for him to say the least. The two of you didn't 'flirt' openly very much so when comments like these came up you would fluster yourselves as well as the other. There is a comfortable silence between the two of you that's being filled by waves slapping the hull of the ship.
"I'm hoping to get some good training in today, would you want to help me?" You break the silence, bringing your gaze back to Zoro's face.
"Yea, no problem." Zoro turns his head to take in your full image. "Were you trying to train something in particular, or?" He asks, raising a brow at you.
"I'm not sure yet, I guess I'll decide after I get some food in me." You laugh, giving the swordsman a big smile. He loved that laugh. He loved that smile. Zoro couldn't help but offer you a small smile in return, not sure how to articulate how much his heart is screaming for you.
Before you know it breakfast comes and goes, through the meal you can feel Zoro's gaze on you. You would try to meet it but he would turn to address the crew on the opposite side of him. He was quick but not quick enough for you to not see the look in his eyes. A look that assured you that he cared, that he felt comfortable in your presence. It made you wonder if he was comfortable in your assumed relationship or if he felt like it was even a relationship.
After changing into more appropriate workout attire, you make your way back to the main deck to meet Zoro for today's training. Since the crew split after breakfast you've been trying to formulate a way to bring up your relationship status nonchalantly. Zoro wasn't a very out in the open guy so you knew just blurting out the question was not an option. The crew never paid much mind to the two of you working out but as soon as Nami got a whiff of a confession you knew it would spread like wildfire across the deck.
"There you are, and here I thought I was gonna have to drag you out to spar." Zoro scoffs at you as you walk up.
"Didn't I offer you to join me today?" You almost forgot that you agreed to practice sword fighting today. Nothing too flashy, just enough to get yourself out of a pinch in case you find yourself with a sword in hand against an enemy.
"Maybe so, but you know I'm not going lightly on ya." He lets out a groan as he stretches his arm over his chest.
"As long as you don't actually kill me I think we'll be good." You follow suit, stretching was essential and the toned man would never let you forget. The swordsman gives you a quick rundown of how the 'battle' will play out as you go through your stretching routine. You barely pay attention though, your mind is still trying to find an appropriate way to ask him such an awkward question.
"Alright, get in a basic stance and let's get started." Zoro huffs, tossing a wooden practice sword at you. You almost miss the sword entirely being so lost in your own world. Shaking off the thoughts you try to turn your focus onto this fight, getting into your starting stance. You release a slow breath preparing yourself, locking eyes with your opponent. Instead of Zoro's usual 3 sword style he opted for a single wooden blade. Most of the people you would end up fighting would only have one so there was no need for him to have more than that, at least for now. His brows are furrowed, dark eyes scanning over your form.
You quickly lung forward, attempting to dislodge the weapon from his hand. You understood that Zoro's swordsman ship was far greater than yours so trying to disarm him was the only shot you had to winning against him. Being the great swordsman he is, he could see your plan a mile away. Zoro shifts his stance swiftly and strikes you behind your planted leg's knee. The contact is abrupt and forces you to your knees.
"Do you know what your first mistake was?" Zoro scoffs, offering you a hand back to your feet.
"Thinking I could win in a fight against you." You joke, taking his hand and rising to your feet.
"Hah, yes, but you left yourself far too wide in your lunge. I could take out your legs with ease, you need to tighten your stance up so you're more sturdy on your feet." Zoro's lesson is slightly blurred in your mind, your eyes shifting down to his hand. His grip was strong in your own, it was nice. He notices your wavering attention and follows your gaze to your hands. He pulls his hand back quickly. "Let's get back to your starting stance and adjust from there." Zoro's face grew hot, not meaning to overstay his hand's welcome in yours.
Returning to your original stance you can't help but watch Zoro's brow twinge as he avoids eye contact with you. His eyes instead watch your legs.
"Slowly move into the lunge you just did. As you move I will try and tell you how to adjust it." You redid your footing in slow motion, waiting to hear his changes and moving accordingly. "You need to keep your stance only slightly wider than your hips, any further and you'll extend further than you can recover from quickly. You need to keep your knees facing the same direction as your feet. Straighten your back, you're off balance. Knees forward. No. Do you know where your feet are facing? Why are you-? Stop, just, ugh-." His hand wipes his face, clearly getting frustrated. Zoro wasn't the only one though.
"Maybe if you just moved me yourself we wouldn't have this issue!" You spat, completely fed up with Zoro's nonsense. You weren't getting anywhere and his verbal instructions that couldn't even get him out of a paper bag. You drop your arms in defeat, "Zoro, what are we doing?"
"What do you-?" He was taken back, not expecting a question like that from you.
"You don't seem to want to touch me in the slightest, yet you want me around all the time." You cut him off, unable to hold back the broken damn of words flooding out of your mouth. "You look at me like I'm the reason the sun comes up every morning but you can barely keep eye contact with me. What are we, Zoro?" You didn't care if the crew overheard you at that moment. The air is still, the silence deafening.
Zoro's eyes are avoiding yours, mouth open and closing like a fish out of water. He's never been in a situation like this before. He has no idea what to say or do. Put him in a battlefield and he can take care of the situation in no time at all. Personal relationships were much more complicated. He stares down at the wooden sword in his hand, tightening his grip around its handle.
"Swords are a lot easier than people." The green-haired man breaks the silence. "I know how to care for them and can trust them blindly in my hand. You pick up a blade and you already know what you're getting into. The way of the sword is easy to understand. People, not so much." The once dynamic eyes pause on you. A look of concern found in their wake.
"Swords are dangerous, you need to learn how to handle them so you don't get cut. Even when you practice, you can still get nicked but you keep going. Strengthening the relationship between blade and wielder." You grab his free hand, tracing over the small cuts on the back. "People are very similar. You can get to know them and understand their quirks. How they need to be cared for." You offer the same analogy to give some sort of comfort to the hopeless swordsman.
"I guess all that's left is to practice." Zoro coughs out a chuckle. How you understood him so easily he'll never understand. Your fingers on his large hand were soft. Making sure he understood that touching wasn't something to be afraid of. He drops the wooden sword and replaces the empty space with your hand. His calloused fingers scratched your skin but his touch was gentle. You smile at him, feeling one of his many walls falling for you.
"If you'll have me as yours I'll happily practice with you."
"Yea? Hah, I think I'd like that." It was a small step forward but it felt like a free fall to Zoro. This is new and scary but with you by his side he feels secure in this decision. He will learn how to care for you as you will for him. The beginning of a beautiful and strong relationship, as strong as the way of the sword.

Eating Isn't Something Earned
Summary: You overthink how hard you work for the crew and decide you don't work enough to deserve to eat. Sanji reminds you that food isn't earned. Warnings: ED, mentions of not feeling worthy of food, self hatred Word Count: 1.1k
A/N: This is completely self-indulgent but I figured other people may benefit from some Sanji love [GN!Reader so everyone can enjoy <3]
"And~ Voila!" The table bursts into cheers and ogling once Sanji reveals the giant fish from under the cloche. The fish was caught earlier in the day by the crews sharp shooter. Immediately, Sanji had recipes flooding his brain the moment he laid sight on it.
"WHOAAA~!" Luffy's eyes shine bright, mouth watering at the sight of the monster of a creature plated in front of him. Before the plans in his head go into action he quickly gets smack to the back of the head.
"Let me cut into it first." Sanji's brow twinges in anger. Like he would allow the captain to demolish this perfect feast before anyone else could even taste it. Sanji portions out plates for the crew, making sure Robin's, Nami's, and your plate were delicately crafted to make sure the perfect bites could be crafted. The captain obviously given the largest plate. The table commences their dinner feast, laughing and sharing stories from their day.
"I swear to you, I was practically horizontal reeling this bad boy in!" Usopp already exaggerating the story of his 'great catch'. "You know me though, I couldn't let the beast get away! I reeled and tugged and reeeeeellled and tugged," His movements are dramatic like that of a children's theatre play, "and BOOM that monster was flying through the air! I had to beat it into submission ya know? Really had to teach it a lesson after making the God Usopp work so hard- I mean it wasn't hard work at all it was s-super easy bringing him aboard!" He rubs his finger under his nose to hide his nervous laughter.
You giggle at the long-nosed man's clear cover up for his struggle of tugging the fish out of the water. Your day was generally uneventful compared to the rest of the crew's. The only thing of substance was sparing Zoro. Nothing crazy happened during that either, he was mainly just re-going over basic stances to maximize defense.
Dinner does look delicious, you can't deny that Sanji's cooking always looked so appetizing. No matter the beauty of the dishes he creates, you can't bring yourself the do more than push around the contents of your plate. Listening to how active the rest of the crew is you start to wonder if you deserve the meals prepared for you. You weren't studying like Robin, Nami, or Chopper. You didn't benefit the ship by fixing things like Franky or Usopp. You didn't entertain the others like Luffy or Brooke. What were you doing to help? These thoughts have been plaguing your brain recently, unable to make them stop.
Sanji watches the crew dive into his master piece, smiling at the happy faces and bellies he creates with his meal. He grabs the wine bottle from the table and starts making the rounds to refill the glasses of those who wished to partake in the delectable pairing he chose. He slowly makes his way over to you and notices not only was your wine glass untouched, so was your food.
Leaning down to your ear he whispers, "Did you not want fish, y/n-swan? I can make you something else for you if you'd like."
You were pulled out of your trance of over-thinking by his smooth voice. "Oh, no, it's alright Sanji. I think I'm just not very hungry tonight. I'm sorry."
"Please, don't apologies. Don't force yourself to eat on my behalf." The blonde smiles down at you, his hand laid softly on your shoulder. "If you get hungry later I can warm this up for you or make you something else, okay?"
"That would be nice of you, thank you." You give the chef a small nod.
"Anything for you, y/n-swan~." His smile warms your heart, but did you deserve such kindness?
You excuse yourself from the table and make your way to the main deck. The rambunctious crew still able to be heard. Leaning down on the railing you stare out to the sea. Your mind still reeling with the same worries. You didn't deserve the food served to you without hesitation. You don't deserve to eat with the crew that grinds tooth and nail to keep the group afloat. You don't deserve to eat. You aren't worth the love and effort put into the dishes made for the people who put their hearts and souls into everything they did. Your eyes start to burn with tears, trying to choke back sobs so you don't disturb the merry making happening behind you. Your head falls to the rail you were leaning on, hands grasping your hair.
"Y/n." A voice calls out to you, quiet enough that you almost miss it over your own sobs. Quickly you wipe your eyes and try to slow your breathing. Foot steps slowly approaching you from behind. You turn to see the curly browed man coming over to you.
"Sanji, hello, did you need help with the dishes?" You try to even out your voice as much as possible, small wavers giving away that you weren't okay.
"Chopper told me that you've been giving your plates to Luffy more often recently." The chef states, ignoring your question. "I know it isn't my food, you've taste tested these dishes for me hundreds of times. Please, y/n, tell me what's troubling you." Finally only a foot away from you.
You can't hold back your tears from him anymore. He's so sincere with his plea. "I don't deserve them. I can't accept something I didn't earn." You hide your face in your hands, attempting to hide the shame of your lack luster performance on the team. Quickly arms surround you, the hold is comfortably tight.
"Don't you ever say that again!" Sanji sounds so stern but he means it in the most genuine concern. "You deserve to eat, you work so hard every day. You improve yourself little by little, you may not see it but everyone else can. You give so much of yourself into everything you do."
He grabs your cheeks so he can see your face clearly, wiping away tears with his thumbs. A gentle kiss was placed on your forehead.
"Eating isn't something earned. It's something you deserve. Everyone deserves to eat, even if they aren't working themselves to the bone. Please, never feel like you don't deserve to eat." Sanji rests his forehead on your own. "Now, if you actually aren't hungry I won't make you come back with me. If you are though, please let me make you something to eat. You deserve something special, just for you."

reqested by: @scribbledbeans — helloooo, here's your fluffy fic with the lost swordsmannnn~ (っ˘з(˘⌣˘ )
It was supposed to be a small exploration, where you and Zoro would immediately return after a good peek on an island where the crew dropped by.
But no. It has been a good 30 minutes since you two had been roaming around, lost, all thanks to the moss head who kept on heading to random directions, so you had to keep on making sure that he doesn't get lost. Though it ended up having both of you lost...
“Tch, this is your fault. If you just didn't keep on goin' round and round, maybe we wouldn't get lost..” Zoro mutters under his breath, putting the blame on you who heard what he just said all loud and clear.
“Oh wow! My fault?? Then who is this dumb, moss haired swordsman who's so awful with directions that he needs someone following him all the time or he'll get lost!?” You exclaim in fury, stomping towards the swordsman who's going off his own again, pulling him with you.
“...” Remaining silent, the swordsman falls guilty, a red blush tainting his ears from embarrassment, and the way you grabbed, and held his hands..
Silence then took over as you two looked around the forest where big trees reside, covering most of the island, making it hard for you to navigate through it.
“You know, this is your fault, you stupid swordsman.” You grumble with a click of your tongue.
“It's not my fault, so don't blame me.” He defends, clenching your hand tightly, following where you lead him to who knows where.
“Okay, then so do I blame this forest?” You sassed, causing the moss head to frown, a childish pout on his face.
“Just—shut up, I hate you.” Zoro growls, scratching his head, letting go of your hand and going on ahead, while you immediately trailed behind him, hand gripping his shoulder.
“No you don't, 'cause you love me!” You joked with a smirk on your face, catching the first mate to blow a fuse, face completely red like a tomato—whipping it to you immediately.
“Wha—how did you—what!!?” He stammered, his unexpected reaction shocking you.
“...That was supposed to be a joke, but—really? You love me..?” You whispered, cheeks dusted pink, face blown in shock as Zoro grit his teeth, annoyed to himself for reacting like that.
And having no choice, he finally admit the truth, quite hesitant to do so, but he still managed. “....Yes. I love you, so don't make me repeat myself, it's so fucking embarrassing.”
Hearing his confession, you gasped, covering your now red face, having a hard time believing the swordsman you knew is cold.
“Pfft..!” You snorted, holding a laughter in, having recovered from shock and the confession. “I love you too, dumbass!”
Doing a heart as you admit your feelings for the male too, Zoro wore a small smile to his face, holding your hand once again, fingers entwined.
“Good, now why don't we flaunt this romance of ours to the crew?” He suggested, a smug look on his face as you raised your brow, slowly smirking back at him.
“Mhm, sure. Now let's get outta here, haha!” You laughed, clinging on to his arm while your head leans against his shoulder, finding a way out of the forest, back to the crew to show the love that begun because of a small hate..
