hi!! just discovered your blog & games and am immediately and whole heartedly devoted to 100 (making him worse. coughs)
i was wondering if being trans is an option/plays into the game at all? not at all a factor in how much i know i'll enjoy the game, just curious!
I'm very sorry for the late answer, I did my thing of seeing this ask, thinking 'ah, a question that deserves a thoughtful answer when I get home' and then, uh, completely forgetting about it.
So, in Aegis Project the gender choice is supposed to encompass trans and cis people; 'man' could be a trans man or cis man and I've tried to make sure that nothing in any description of the MC makes any assumptions (if anyone thinks anything does, please let me know).
Clothing styles are open to everyone and I tried not to present it as 'gendered' clothing. Maybe one person imagines the 'suit' option as a very masculine style; maybe another sees it as a bright pink floral number. Maybe it's bright pink, floral *and* masculine!
If I recall correctly, being non-binary can get you a teeny bit of extra dialogue with Hex but that's it.

Hi, i hope it's okay to ask. How get a drive from Vicki? I'm struggling and I've tried so many times and still i can't get it 😭
I thought this had an easy answer and then I checked and it was somewhat more complicated than I remembered; cue me staring at my own code like wtf was I doing here...
There's a stat check in Chapter Four during the conversation where you meet her in a hotel.
If you take the truth serum during the equipment scene in Chapter Two, you can drug Vicki during this scene and it will make the stat checks super easy. Otherwise the difficulty is based on what you told her the last time you met. If you lied to her before but now pick the 'come clean' option, it will make the stat check harder, as will going the other way around and lying to her now but hinting at the truth before. Keeping the same approach is best for this particular stat check, but bear in mind that Vicki will be mad when she figures out you lied, and 313 will be mad if you tell her too much. Your approach also affects the overall coverup/expose stat.
As for the actual choice, it's:
Tell her that you're absolutely committed to solving the crime. (tests Justice, needs 45+ for 'super easy', 55+ for normal, 75+ for hard)
Tell her that this will boost both your careers. (tests Ambition, same stat boundaries as above)
Keep cool and downplay the importance of getting her help. (tests Composure, same as above)

Hi, back again with another 180 files question (sorry if it's bothersome). What would happen if a high-suspicion Agent 180 gets captured by security in chapter 6, and Angel doesn't come to rescue them?
Oof this is a really late answer and I'm sorry!
The security guards are taking 180 to Faustus, the evil scientist. He would put an Aegis in them and get 180 to tell him everything that they knew. I think then that would spur him to make his escape earlier than he was intending to. What I'm not sure is what he'd do with 180 then. He might send them back to the IIA to act as a mole for him. He might keep them to do evil science stuff on. Whatever happens, not a good fate for poor 180.
(Angel knows this, which is why they're smug about the rescue)

Hi, hope you're doing well. I've got a question about 180 files. Say 180 somehow managed to capture Angel at the casino. What would happen then?
Hmmm, they’d probably be ordered to take Angel somewhere to meet up with an extraction team who would then whisk poor Angel off to some secret blackops site. I don’t think they had these people standing by nearby because the Agency wasn’t really expecting you to capture Angel all on your own, just ID them for later. But they wouldn’t turn down the opportunity if 180 did manage it.
Now, you would probably do well to keep Angel unconscious/drugged, or else they’ll spend the whole time trying to escape. But, there is that pesky mole you didn’t know about, and as soon as DIABLO finds out, there’s going to be a lot of people trying to intercept you!

The aegis project still rotates in my mind like a microwave meal. Along with all the cliffhangers!
Who is the DIABLO contact? Negating that the mole is in connection with the director or 300, do they know?? Does the mole know 100 knows something is up?? In the parents bg, who set the hit? Why was it cleared??; who was on the phone to 180's mum, why??
What is anybody's real name??? (313, you don't count, I love you)
Love the book, sorry for the gushing. Demo is still holding up. Wishing all the best. 🥺
Oh my gosh, thank you for such a sweet message!
Most of these questions I cannot answer yet 😅 hmmm... I think the mole doesn't know that anyone is onto them yet BUT Azazel knows, and is counting on it.
Real names.... eh you'll learn 100's in an earlyish chapter. 196's is Esther!

Chop Shop is strictly 18+ for language, themes, and potential explicit content.
🔗 - Game Intro | Bug Report | Ko-Fi
Episode Three is now available! (+ 86,000) - PLAY HERE
Get your first taste of the underground car scene.
Meet some other players in the game.
Be made an offer.
5 achievements up for grabs!
And more!
AN: thank you so much for the patience - i've been dying to put this update out. lots of new characters and lots of variation!! there are 3 major paths to choose between in this ep, i recommend trying them all out! and thank you to my betas for keeping me sane lmao
This update comes with a patch and UI refresh (Version 1.1.2) Notes are under the cut. If preferred, you can access them in game in the start menu.
STORY
EPISODE 01:
MC should now be able to smoke! Buying cigarettes at the shop was not triggering correctly. If playing with an old save, you DO NOT have to restart as code at the beginning of EP 03 has resolved the error. Player will need to restart if they wish to read smoking related scenes in previous episodes.
Updated MC Name selection. Player can now choose from a list of names instead of having to input one to proceed.
Player can now give Taha their chocolate bar if it's in their inventory.
When asking Maz about their scars, the second choice 'You want to ask about it but you're going to keep your mouth shut.' should now take you to the correct response.
Extended and updated 'End Game' scenes.
EPISODE 02:
If MC is faint after exiting the car, but also drunk, they should now get the fainting scene, followed by Dilani helping the MC in the bathroom.
UI + TECHNICAL
SETTINGS:
Autoname Save is now defaulted to ON. This is to add ease and flow to gameplay, especially for mobile, tablet, and app users, instead of calling for an inputted saved name. If player wants to input save names, toggle Autoname Saves to OFF.
Autoname Save previously only used the forename of the MC but now includes the surname as well.
Removed the Fullscreen toggle as it is only intended for desktop use. Player can still toggle fullscreen function via the UI bar on the desktop interface.
Added a choice indicator toggle. (This probably won't come into effect until EP 04 or 05)
Changed serif font from Vollkron to EB Garamond.
OTHER:
Changing the MC's pronouns via the Dashboard has been updated. Additionally, after confirmation will take player back to the Dashboard and not close the dialog boxes entirely.
Hovering over 'Personality', 'Motives', and 'Skills' titles in the Dashboard will now display an information box with a definition. Mobile and tablet users will need to tap on the title.
'Resume Game' now only appears on the main menu when there is an autosave in the saves log.
Choices styling changes.
General UI and button style changes.
Fixed errors with the text message styling.
Added styling for reading text off of a page in game.
Darkened blue in light theme 'Skyline' to reduce eye strain.
CREATE A SAVE
Introducing Create a Save! This feature allows players to quickly manufacture a save file and start at a later point in the game.
Set your identity, appearance, history, and statistics; including personality, motives, and skills. Continue to set key decisions made in previous episodes.
Randomise options available for creating a PC and key decisions.
OTHER
Fixed gaps and spacing issues.
Minor phrasing and sentence structure changes.
Grammar and typo fixes.
whew -- that's a lot of patch notes! apologies for so much that needed to be fixed.
this update shouldn't break/ mess with saves but as a disclaimer i will say, if you spot anything funky, broken, or you don't think things are triggering correctly, try starting a new save. the new create a save feature is incredibly code heavy, and it's been tested relentlessly, but i wouldn't be surprised if something crops up.
if starting a new save doesn't resolve your issue - please submit to bug report or just send me an ask/message.
some things have been meaning to get fixed for Some Time - thank you to everyone that is using the bug report form!
apologies if there are typos and/or bugs - this was a long one to edit and my lovely betas did an OUTSTANDING job reading so much for ep 3 - thank you so much again!!! this time i am going to give it a bit more time before i put together a patch so i can grab more error responses haha.
create a save has also added a wee chunk to the word count, somewhere around 6k, but i'm not including it in the episode 03 word count as it's purely code. so, if you think the total wc is off, that's why!
if you've read this far, happy reading and thank you so much for the continued support!! :) - becky <3

Hi! I was wondering what specific events you'd need to trigger in the 180 Files: The Aegis Project to get Angel to sarcastically call the mc their hero in the crocodile tub scene?
You get it for two of the mini-endings. One is if you go to confront the guy who is creeping around and you end up fighting him and knocking him out (which happens if you fail the stat checks). The other is if you get to the 'damsel in distress' situation with Angel and Petrovich. For that you need to have gone to talk to the suspicious man but ending up talking to him and figuring out that he's a cop. (which happens if you pass the stat checks)

100 needs a gentle forehead kiss and a cuddle asap. Man's body's check engine light has been on for like twenty years at this point. 😭 I think I could fix him though.
Haha, that's exactly right, at this point the whole dashboard is lit up with warning lights, but he keeps on ignoring them

Hi ! I know it's been a while since The Aegis Project has been out but I just discovered it and it was truly amazing ! I finished Angel's route and now I'm trying to get Hex's, but for some reasons I can't gather enough evidences for them to trust me when I try to tell them the truth and get them to help me, would you mind sharing a guide for that ? I searched everywhere online and couldn't find anything, I restarted at least 4 times and the only evidences I found was the receptionist's memory lost and the microship found in the shoulder of the employee that was in a coma (I also told Hex's about how my fiancee died in the Arkwright Tower incident idk if that count) 😭 Thank you !
Ok, so to get Hex to believe you, you need to score 7 or more points in your conversation with them.
You get:
1 point for finding out about the receptionist going missing 1 point if you asked Vicki to investigate stuff for you and she told you the story about a former employee in a coma. 2 points for getting Sandra, the other receptionist, to tell you about her memory problems (either talking to her yourself or getting Vicki to do it) 3 points from getting Atkinson's harddrive, if you managed to get the password (2 points from the 'look at these schematics' option, 1 from the 'Dr Atkinson's death' option) 1 point for the 'explain the DIABLO link' IF you have Suave 60+ (if you don't this will take a point away, so be careful!) 1 point for if you found blood at Atkinson's apartment (from the 'Dr Atkinson's death' option) 1 point for 'make a moral appeal' if you have Justice or Principled more than 75 1 point for 'make a moral appeal' if you found out about what happened to the security guards 1 point for 'just trust me' if your Hex rel is 60+ 1 point for if you've previously been picking a lot of flirt options with Hex
I hope that helps! It's a little convoluted, I know. I wanted chapter 7 to have a lot of payoff moments for things you'd been investigating throughout the game.

i'm curious, could you give a general idea of tropes or themes in each RO route? i'm gauging angst. 🤔 aside, thank you for your story and thank you for the cool playlists too. my physically demanding job was made more bearable. 🥺 have a merry Christmas!
I find it hard to match up tropes (because like a pretentious chef i love a deconstruction, so a lot of things are sort of, but not really) so I tried to explain the vibes, i guess, and i'm also sorry that this is really stream of consciousness, I'm coming down with a cold.
Sinclair: It's about self-sabotage and the things you wish you'd told somebody, trying to trust someone you don't know if you can. Maybe it's about second chances.
100: look this is less about the two of you and more about getting the best seats in the house for the absolute mess that is about to unfold. It's not about you, it's about him, because he's the main character, or at least he thinks so. Can you save someone from themself? is it even worth trying?
Angel: look. look. are they literally making you into a worse person by their sheer presence in your life? maybe. but maybe you are tired of being nice, and you do want to go apeshit. maybe you're a match made in hell, actually. OR maybe you do hate everything they stand for, but fighting them makes you feel more alive than loving anyone else and maybe you are, secretly, desperate to find a way to avoid the end you know is coming.
313: ok did you read the above and say "wtf? what about just a nice, grown-up romance with someone who isn't going to put me thru the emotional wringer?" well my friend perhaps i can interest you in a relationship of mutual support and helping each other thru the drama and ok maybe things might be a little delicate with the conflict of interest created by your jobs, but things will probably turn out ok. unless you stab them in the back. but that's your choice.

It's December, home of the gaudiest decorations known to man! How's it hanging this month?
Hello anon! I've been working on the scene where you meet Sinclair. It's fine for thief background (of course) and cop background, but I'm trying to make sure army background doesn't end up being 'oh hey, didn't we meet once?' in comparison.

Did I daydream this, or was there a website for writers with like. A ridiculous quantity of descriptive aid. Like I remember clicking on " inside a cinema " or something like that. Then, BAM. Here's a list of smell and sounds. I can't remember it for the life of me, but if someone else can, help a bitch out <3
