-> Only time he indulges his sweet tooth is when he’s teeny, because he doesn’t feel as guilty for it

-> Regresses between 3-5

-> Loves playing board games so much! His favorite board game is Monopoly >:b Not a huge fan of card games- he’s not very good at it. He plays against himself (and gets genuinely upset when he loses)

-> He finds gardening fun, but mostly uses pretend toys, not actually gardening

-> He’s pretty anxious about the idea of a caregiver, and would only be comfortable regressing by himself (janine might be the exception but he’s probably too awkward for it)

-> Not a big fan of stuffies. Instead he made himself a collection of pet rocks that he decorates and gives silly faces (and names, of course)

-> Not very verbal, but mostly because he’s just on his own anyways. Though if he was with Janine he’d probably be very quiet and not too good w/ words, but again, that’s a big if

-> Doesn’t like playing pretend or anything. He’s pretty content just sitting with his rocks and being silly by himself :3

Also like Sippy Cups are great even if you aren‘t little because I can sit in bed with my tablet and phone and half a dozen expensive academic books and stay hydrated without having to worry about spills

Setting Rules for Littles with PDA 📚

(Pathological Demand Avoidance)

Affirmation-style: instead of “Maddie HAS to brush her teeth before bed” try “Maddie is so smart! She always remembers to brush her teeth before bed”

De-center the task: instead of “Danny HAS to finish his homework before watching TV” try “when Danny’s worksheet is done he gets to watch three whole episodes of Bluey!”

Take little bites: instead of “Lou HAS to take out the trash” try “Lou can tie up the trash bag now, and take it to the bin later when they leave for work”

These won’t work for everyone, but they can help break thru the barrier of PDA that makes traditional rules hard for some little ones!

fussing over a little during the winter, checking over and over again to make sure they're warm enough. "are you sure that coat's okay? we wouldn't want you turning into an icicle!"

making sure their socks are thick enough before kneeling down to help them tie their boots. smiling as they run out the door to play in the snow. feeling content knowing they'll stay nice and cozy while they have fun.

i cannot walk through a store without checking out the kids/baby section

Sometimes I see actual kids, often are barely old enough to be allowed to have a tumblr account (and sometimes not even that), make posts about wanting to be a cg and wanting a little to take care of. And I just want to shake them and tell them that for the love of all that is holy on this wretched earth to not fucking do this! You are a literal child, you should not be taking care of another human beeing! Especially not someone who is older than you, who likely has some baggage, who maybe is in a really bad spot mentally. You are a child yourself.

I say this as someone who was both parentified and let everyone vent to them, no matter how heavy the topic, as a teen: Don‘t fucking do this if you haven‘t allready saved up for therapy in a few years. You are welcome to hang out here, be friends with people, maybe be someones agere/agedre-sibling, idk play house with people. But please, please don‘t be be someones serious caregiver. Go be a child first.

Also a lot of these posts contain so much personal information. Why am I, a random adult on the internet you do not know, able to learn so much sensitive information about you, a literal child? Stop that. Do not post personal information online
