Beau: Canonically has a major crush on Jester. Flirts badly and tries to teach her about relationships outside of books and porn. Oh my god they were roommates. 10/10

Caleb: Canonically is uselessly in love with Jester. Makes longing eyes across the bar when she’s dancing alone but will never say anything because he doesn’t believe in happiness. 11/10 +1 for sad romantic backstory

Fjord: Wishes he wasn’t in love with Jester. Everything would be so much simpler if there were nO ROMANCE IN DND LAURA. 100/10 in lurve

as some of my earlier posts might suggest, i’ve been thinking a bunch about critical role and time and ages and shit, trying to work out what things would have been going on at the same time.  like that post that explains how calculus hadn’t been invented when oxford was founded and stuff.  So here’s some interesting ones (spoilers for campaign 1 and also the m9′s backstories):

- 21 years before the start of campaign two, during the attack of the Chroma Conclave and the fall of Draconia, Jester was probably an infant.  Concurrently, Fjord was like 10 or 11, in an orphanage in Port Damali, and Caleb was a 12 year old named Bren living with his parents in Blumenthal.

- 17 years prior to the start of campaign two, when a 16 year old Bren started getting trained to torture and execute people, 7-year-old Beau was living unhappily in Kamordah with her family, 8-year-old Veth was being picked on by her brothers in Felderwin, and 5-year-old Jester was probably meeting the Traveler.

- 10 years before the start of the campaign, Caleb is 23 and institutionalized, Fjord is roughly 20 and probably at sea, Veth is 15 and maybe already falling in love with Yeza, and Lucien is somewhere, almost definitely being trained to do shady blood magic.

- 5 years prior to the start of the campaign, Caleb (28) is healed and flees the asylum - he’s no longer going by Bren, but he’s also not yet actually Caleb.  Fjord, at 25 or so, is definitely a sailor, though he may or may not yet be sailing with Vandran.  Veth is 20 and happily married.  This is the year Luc is born.

Beau is 19 and probably Doing Crime.  Lucien, wherever he is and however old he is, may have already split off from his order to lead the Tomb Takers.  (He’s probably not younger than 18, but he’s also probably not older than 25.)

- 2 years before the campaign, Lucien (somewhere in his twenties) dies in a creepy blood ritual and is buried in a shallow grave somewhere outside Shady Creek Run, and Molly comes into being shortly thereafter.  

Veth (23) is living contently in Felderwin with her husband and son.

Beau (22) has probably been abducted at the behest of her father and taken to be trained by the Cobalt Soul by now.

- A year and a half before the campaign, the goblins attack and abduct Veth, Yeza, and Luc.  Luc is 3 and a half.  Veth is transformed and renames herself Nott.  At roughly the same time, Molly is beginning to talk.

- 6 months before the campaign begins, Yasha joins the circus and gets to know Mollymauk, at the same time that Caleb and Nott meet in prison and begin traveling together.
