Music show-- A music show is normally defined as live music, a concert, or a radio broadcast but it's also known as a sub genre of live music in the spectrum of live music and a concert. Redefined in the early 2020's, it's meaning became a urban music collection or (playlist) curated to be a setlist that could vary from a compilation of songs all the way to a mix. (Often sold as a mixtape)

Popularity of music shows became popular mostly in the metal music scene with DJs curating a mix of songs to play live, the term music show derived from Tumblr in early 2022 from user account @DECKRR and friends @1998 and @SPITxCUNT who were gaining popularity for their blogs posting their music shows which coined the phrase.

Another popular producer that coined the phrase music show was Tumblr user @ENDGAMES also known as @ENDGAMESDAKIDD, who released his music show in late 2022 called "DEMON HAVOC" which was a metal music show that went viral within the next two months.

Popular Producer @DECKRR said quote "It got popular for a reason, people wanted music without the mainstream, people wanted music without the rules… It is basically the end of traditional social roles and the possibility, or burden of self-invention, a change that has only recently been felt." The re-appropriated term is now a product of post traditional genre subculture.
