I like to imagine that at least once during the clone wars someone sent a report to General Kenobi and a very tired Master Kenobi just graded it and sent it back.

Clone Appreciation Week: Day 1 [Spare Time]

Rex and Cody have at least one game of bingo going at any point of time, in a private comms channel between them. Well, usually, two: one for when they’re on separate missions, and the other one is for when they’re deployed together.

Cody has squares that say “the general flirts with an enemy” and “Waxer tries to adopt a native animal”. Rex has “Fives disobeys orders but it works out in the end” and “Tup complains about his hair coming loose mid-battle”. Rex has one that says “Commander Tano is more competent than the general”, and he strikes it off within the first 5 seconds; Cody complains that that isnt fair. Rex retorts with “well you have one which says General Kenobi does something dramatic”.

Their shared mission bingo boards consist of:

-Kix curses at hardcase (Rex)

-someone says they have a bad feeling about this (both)

-Boil curses at Waxer (Cody)

-Fives gets punched in the face by a droid (Rex)

-General Kenobi withstands extreme pain (Cody)

Both of them were smart enough to make the free space “the two generals bicker”.

Often enough, Rex and Cody get deployed planets away from each other, and Rex will suddenly hear a click as a commlink channel opens and Cody’s voice saying “Bingo, vod.” And then he immediately clicks off. Torrent Company will hear Rex muttering a curse under his breath and someone will ask, “You lose to Cody again, captain?” and they ask because the 501st and the 212th have bets running about who’ll win the next round of bingo.

Here’s a little dump. Went through the files and realized I never got around to posting these. Oops.

The 212th is on leave and Obi-Wan is with them, but he's terribly tired and overworked, so instead of looking at the sights or walking around the market, he just sits slouched on a chair somewhere under a tree and stares into the distance. He doesn't react to anything. At all. Not to Cody’s calling his name, not to other troopers, not to him comm. He usually just sits like this for a couple of hours and then bounces back.

And at first it confused and worried the troopers but by the fifth or sixth time they were used to it.

Wooley comes to sit with the General quite often, enjoying the silence. Or to tell stories, which he knows Obi-Wan enjoys.

Crys and Longshot bring pillows and blankets to make him more comfortable.

Waxer and Boil are always nearby, covering his back.

Bones leaves a flask of water and a few ration bars nearby. And Gods help him if Obi-Wan doesn't eat them all.

Cody...

Well...

Cody sits on his left, in the exact same position, doing exactly the same thing.

Because they're both too damn tired for anything else and their brains decided to shut down.

But as the war progresses, it becomes worse.

They start randomly getting up and walking away, still dazed and silent. Always together as it is an integrated instinct for them now. But Boil and Waxer are not always able to keep up with them, which led to several rather weird accidents and one major case of property damage.

The solution?

Gregor makes shirts, saying 'If I look lost take me back to the Ghost' for Cody and Obi-Wan and another six saying 'I am the Ghost' for Crys, Longshot, Waxer, Boil, Wooley and Bones. They're bright orange with purple lettering. They hurt people's eyes. The Ghost Company loves them.

Cody and Obi-Wan do too, but won't ever admit it.

Rex, the bastard, gets them a leash.

DAY 7 (CODYWAN WEEK 2021) Domestic
