I have an au where the first fight against Godroth goes horribly wrong and the Builder dies, and the Hairy Hermit (And maybe another higher power? idk) send them back in time to right before they and Malroth arrive at Moonbrooke and honestly it mostly plays out like this.

Malroth + Moonbrooke citizens "Is the Builder okay?"

The Builder who just came back from the dead + hell

#The most fun I think would be the traitor plot- Crea knowing its Warwick but not telling people I guess?#I imagine her being so passive agressive to him for no reason and everyone is like ???#unless she's trying to help him not be evil which could also be another angle #Crea making a secret tunnel to the prison and showing Malroth like “This will be a special tool that will help us later”#/j #dqb2

Yeah I did read that fic too! I don't remember if I read it before or after making the AU, but I was very sad that it didn't have that many chapters in it. I do know my inspiration for the AU was me replaying the game a bunch of times in quick succesion (and the Undertale diegetical reset stuff brainrot got me)

I lost some of the scenes a while back (rip phone) and I'm sure I forgot some others that I didn't write down, but I do remember the plot outline and key scenes.

So, u wanna hear about the 2nd loop? 3rd? ...5th? I remember something something about loop 7 but if I play my cards right I think I can streamline it into 6 loops.

All of them reach Malhalla but when builder (Kurie) dies there she gets looped back. Poor girl is an inventor and loves to come up with new designs for things so it is very hellish to come back to square one with your Builderpedia wiped and having no new challenges to be creative with, only being stuck with reinventing the wheel you already invented for the millionth time.

(If she dies anywhere else Malroth is there to save her ass that's why loops dont get cut short by an early death)

#dqb2 #dragon quest builders 2 #04 || never-ending world #First loop is normal #Second loop she tells everyone she has looped but Hargon learns about it too and uses it to his advantage #Third loop she figures Hargon learnt of it through Malroth so she tells everyone except Malroth- Full of angst potential #Turns out Hargon still figurea out she time looped anyway #so on the fourth loop she tells everyone from outside the illusion since Hargon is in control of the illusion and that seems to work out #but she still dies. Turns out building a giant Ark in a wasteland is not easy despite what the game might imply #On the fifth loop she's paranoid about the fourth loop and doesnt tell anyone #then I know that in the last loop Malroth regains all the loop memories cuz he's a god and he can do that #And together they beat Malhalla #Its also clear as the loops go on that Malroth kinda remembers but not really #so he's like “Who is this woman I just met that I seem to have strong feelings about”#but since he has amnesia as default its not something he can easily figure out #And Kurie feels super-guilty about both not telling him that one time and that he's clearly emotionally scarred after all the Malhallas #Cuz its her fault he went through so much- and she doesnt even know if he'd want to just kill her when he awakes #its a lot

Arisplotle: Don’t goory Ells…We’ll find your friend…

When I listen to Heavenly Flight, I always imagine the builder being sad while in Malhalla because Malroth isn’t there with them. I also imagine Arisplotle doing the best he can to comfort the builder. So here is Ells(my female builder) holding Arisplotle who is assuring her that everything will be okay

Does Malroth looks a bit different? Yes. Why? I made an AU. Am I properly introducing it? Not right now, no... But I do have designs done and a fanfic on the way 😎

Btw ive been a little distanced from social medias in general these days but I've been doodling like crazy, so I hope to upload more sketches like these maybe.
