CT SCAN

CT stands for computerized tomography is a non-invasive scanning procedure which uses advanced rotating X-ray machines to generate cross – sectional images of the bones, soft tissues, blood vessel inside of the body.  CT Scans or CAT Scans can be performed on any part of the body and procedure is absolutely painless.

Do not eat or drink for a few hours – at least 2 to 3 hours before CT Scan

ECHO

An echocardiogram (echo) is a graphic representation of the heart’s movement. During an echo test, ultrasound (high-frequency sound waves) from a hand-held wand  is placed on the chest which provides pictures of the heart’s valves and chambers and helps the sonographer evaluate the pumping action of the heart.

Echo is usually done with Doppler ultrasound and color Doppler to evaluate blood flow across the heart’s valves.

TMT or a treadmill test is a  stress test conducted to assess how the heart responds during times of extreme stress. It helps to determine if the heart is receiving enough supply of oxygen and blood flow when it requires the most , like when one is exercising.

It is generally advised to people who have been experiencing sporadic chest pains or other symptoms of coronary heart disease.

Wear loose comfortable clothes

Do not eat, drink  caffeinated beverages or smoke for at least three hours before the test.

Report any chest pains or weakness on the day of the test.

ECHO

ECG or Electrocardiogram is a test conducted to measure the electrical activity of the heart to check if the heart is functioning normally.
