Soft Girl Era

When I say I am in my soft girl era, I don't mean it in a purely aesthetic way. I mean it as a reflection of who I am now. My outside reflected my inside when I was in high school and in my early 20s. I was depressed, and my heart was full of anger and resentment. I wore all black and only wore dark colors. I only used dark reds, purples, and blacks for my makeup. The shoes I wore were all black and dark colors. I wasn't happy or at peace, so it was almost like my inner self was hiding in the shadows, waiting to come out one day. I give my boyfriend all the credit for my soft girl era. I don't recall when it happened. It wasn't overnight it was definitely a gradual change. Now my life is full of cute squishmallows and Sanrio plushies, jewelry and shirts. My wardrobe is entirely pink and pastels and I've never been happier. My makeup is now such a bright exhibition of the cutest pastel shades. This version of me is finally happy. This version of me is finally at peace. This version of me is in my soft girl era.
