Week 3
Finally we are already in our third week, this week was pretty much an easy week for me to workout I had a lot of fun this week. I had a lot of happy days and I made a lot of happy memories.
My workout routine was cardio, muscle, and stretching. I did a pretty good job at those, my favorite one was the muscle exercises. I did my best at those exercises and also I did an awesome job as the other exercises. My body was amazing and my week was amazing.
I just want to share that having a weekly routine for exercise is a very huge accomplishment for me because for the last months my physical health was not very recommendable, it is very beneficial for me and my body of having to workout every week to improve my health.

Week 2
It has already been a week after my workout last week. As I talked about last week, my body was not in the right condition to workout for but I still did it anyways.
But as for this week, it was also difficult because it was my time of the month and I had my cramps. It was so painful and If I say painful, my whole body was painful. Painful from my workout last week, and painful for my woman characteristics.
I started late with my workout, I started by Thursday so it was quite an inconvenient for me but still I did it anyways. My body was so sore, that my workout was quite prolonged, yet I did an amazing job considering my body condition.
Talk to you next week for our Healthy Body weekly conversation.

Week 1
As we all know, this pandemic has really affected us all and not only our environment but us also living human beings. This week my work out routine is pretty the same as the last one, but I find it pretty hard for me to do the exercise because I did not work out last week, but I did my best to execute my exercises.
For those 2 days, my body was not that great for me to workout and also because my eating schedule was not on time. But then it was still manageable for me, and if I would rate my performance it was an “Okay” one.
Let us all be healthy and be happy. Healthy Body, Healthy Life.

Week 4
Here we are with another exercise its been 4 weeks since we’ve started and I can feel my strength coming back to me. With that I’m excited to do my routine this week.
In this week I decided to add cycling to my routine as well because aside from running cycling can also strengthen my legs. I did my other exercises this week as well and it was pretty refreshing to do this.
I can tell my body likes the exercises and the hard work that I am doing, and not just my body I personally like it as well. Even though most of my exercises are indoor because these are the only exercises, I can do because of the restrictions but I am still happy that I’m making progress in my road to strengthening. #OPLANSAMSTRENGTHENING

Week 3
Its another week here we go. In this week there was no pain at all unlike the other week I didn’t get any “pamaol” at all. I was excited to get moving this week for my body was so energized and I was ready to do anything.
In this week I decided to add jogging to my routine because I’ve also felt that there is pain in my knees and sometimes it would reach my ankles. So, I decided that my feet needs some kind of strengthening as well.
This week’s exercise was quite fun as well and I enjoyed every bit of it. I can already feel the progress of my hard work and this is just getting me pumped even more.

Week 2
Its been a week and now we’re at the second week. Though only a short time has passed by, I can already feel my body aching all over. Its really painful but I knew that this was because of the exercises and my body was aching all over because I wasn’t used to exerting a lot effort anymore.
But even though the harsh pains that I have experienced I still persevered and did the exercises for that week. I did the exercises same as last week’s agenda. When I was doing the exercises this week I noticed that it was easier to move than it was the previous week. I was really overjoyed when I noticed this because I was progressing slowly but surely.
I’m hoping to continue these exercises and get the results I am hoping for. No matter how small the progress it is already a big achievement for me.

Week 1
This pandemic has truly affected all of us all around the world and has made us coop up inside our houses all day long for almost a year now. In my personal experience I’ve been sitting around all day long and I’ve come to a realization that my body is getting weaker by the day, the strength and versatility that I had back then is slowly fading away. But now we have been assigned to do exercise weekly and that is what helped me start to get back into shape.
The exercise that I picked are Sit-ups, Planks, Push-ups, Dips and my Stretching routine. These are the exercises that I chose because though they are relatively easy to perform, but they also help do the job of getting me a sweat. These are the exercises that I usually do when I work out. They also focus on my muscular strength which I want to get back now since I’ve felt that I lost my strength already.
This activity has been the igniter for me and now I am motivated to get back to that energetic Sam everybody knows. I’m up and running for the future results of my hard work.

FlickerFadeGone
1. Yes, I thought it was me before when I was younger; I would go to the arcade in Gaisano. I always played there whenever I have the time and money to spend.
2. For me, it does not really mean to be a commentary to certain kinds of people.
If I would be given a chance to create a game, it would be about a culinary game. In which, the game is equipped with all the recipes that the gamer would like to cook and bake. It is all about the cooking desire of a gamer and cooking knowledge that he wants to further more broaden. The gamer would just input the food menu that he wants to cook and bake, and the game would post a recipe and instructions on how to make the desired food. In this way, the gamer should follow the recipe and instructions that is posted and play the game. The gamer that is playing, is coping and absorbing all of the steps that is needed to cook and bake the desired food. The gamer is taught the proper ways on how to cook and bake the food, the gamer could also some few ways and tricks on how to cook and bake. The gamer, could also acquire cooking terms and baking terms that the gamer does not know. The gamer could also follow and try the recipe that is posted and cook and bake it in real life. And in this game, it could help the gamer on what to do in order to make a good and delicious food that the gamer would make in real life.

Outline:

I. English Teachers in the Philippines always find it frustrating to teach English to Filipino students
A. Filipino Students are always committing the same errors
B. Teachers follow the Standard English in which grammarians prescribe.
II. A local Variety of English
A. Filipinos have accepted English and Appropriated to to fit their daily needs.
B. Errors becoming features in their English.
Summary:
A literary text “Why Do They Say That Our English Is Bad?” written by Grace M. Saqueton, is all about why Filipinos are bad at English. It started by saying the teachers are frustrated in teaching the students English since they always commit the same errors not making progress. This is because there is a certain rule that English teachers follow but not learned by the students. Lastly, another reason why English in the Philippines is bad is that errors can be neglected and are said to become features in their English.

Justice
By: Ralph Semino Galan
Close justice for none of you!
People are dying every day,
Since the world can't regulate their arms,
Innocent people are dying in vain.
When a crime is committed by the police,
Will we really have to be arrested?
Cops are killing people who seem to be a threat.
But an innocent guy,
An innocent child is gone,
Since police are sort of stupid,
If we were on the racist,
Democracy at last?
It's almost like democracy is past.
I am praying to God above,
They get what they deserve,
No family is expected to suffer from their lost,
Much as they do.
Justice is coming,
For those who've lost the light,
And lost it all.

Preludes
By: Daryll Delgado
This helped me widen and change my perspective when it comes to people experiencing infidelity. It opened my eyes in such a way that it opened my awareness away from the fact that not only could it cause divorce, physical challenges, violence and so on, but it could also cause someone to "break" that, in turn, depletes all their sanity and adapts to this faulty lifestyle. This is risky because it will be impossible to find people who suffer from similar problems and to support them because of the ordinary facade of their lifestyle. Attention should be paid to this sort of item. The message I've taken from this story is that a lot of people aren't happy with what they or what they have received, which may be the reason why they commit sins and do bad things. It's normal if you want to get richer when you are doing it right, of course. And you want to get higher grades, but cheating on your wife isn't "natural" and that's why I think the law would have been beneficial to Nanita however, the rules are not always useful, since there are people behind who might stop it, so that's probably why Nanita punished him with her own hands. If only they had loved each other as they were meant to be, this could have been avoided.
After reading this short story, it made me appreciate that, despite our differences, I have a family that still supports each other in times of need, challenges and that we stay near to each other. I also salute and respect those people who are able to remain faithful to those people who are their partners, because it takes a certain amount of love and respect for the other person to be able to pull it off, and I know that for a fact because my Family had gone through difficult times.

Lengua Para Diablo (The Devil Ate My Words)
By: Merlinda Bobis
Lengua Para Diablo is a young girl looking for love. Both of her parents are unemployed, man. They see and experience suffering, and all they wanted to do is have a better life. A life without misery and pain. This story is all about a father's concern, and how he no longer feels like he's in charge of his family and his community. It shows how unemployment can affect people and their families. What the father meant by saying, “the devil ate my words”, in the story is that he cannot respond to the concerns of his wife. The word seems to run out of his mouth because he agrees with his wife about the state of their lives, especially because he has been unemployed and has not been able to give them luxury life. Because the father has lost his power to speak for himself because he can no longer fulfill his role for his family, because the children and the mother have no regard for him. In the novel, the phrase “the devil ate my words” often represent the inner thoughts of the father.
A big part of their history is the period that the Philippines are under Spanish rule. For more than 300 years, Spain had control of the Philippines, so it's no wonder there are many Filipino rituals, practices, and cultural norms that can be traced back to the Spanish. Perhaps more than any other foreign nation to which the Philippines was subjected, they left their mark. Because it really happened in real life, and that was the worst nightmare for the Filipinos who were exploited in the early days by Spaniards. And the story showed what kind of struggle a normal family must have, especially if they are living in poverty.

“Mga humdanan nga dili kayang mahugmok”
Wako kahibao og asa ni sugdan,
Kay ang akong hunahuna ug kasingkasing di mahimutang,
Mga higala, akong pamilya og kaagi
Unta dili mahumlak sa atoa.
Mga adlaw, buwan og tuig,
Mga malipayong adlaw,
Siyagit, pagdagandagann ug pag-ambak,
Atong gibuhat sa milabay nga mga adlaw.
Kasuko, kapungot og paglalis,
Mura tag mga yabag sigeg lalis,
Pero bisan ang mga panaglalis na,
Dili makapagbuwag nato.
Wala ko maanad nga wala mos akong kiliran,
Kay kada adlaw kita mag uban,
Mga buhat natong magmalipayon ta,
Nga dili malimtan hangtod sa pagka tiguwang.
Dili ko gustoong magbuwag ta,
Dili ko gusting mahilayo sa inyo,
Dili ko gusto maadto sa laing kalibutan,
Nga wala kamo, mga higala ko.
Nahibaw ko nga nay plano ang Ginoo,
Nga kitabuwagon,
Pero moabot ra ang panahon,
Nga kita tanang magkauban ra gihapon.
Dili mabalaka sa atong pagpanagbuwag,
Isalig sa Ginoo atong mga pag-ampo,
Bisan malayo man ta,
Mag usa ra gihapon atong pitik sa kasingkasing.
Salamat sa kalipay,
Sa mga kaguol og sa mga binoang,
Tungod aning tanan,
Dili ko ni makalimtan hangtod sa akong kamatayon.

BRAVERY AND COURAGE
A timid man came to the master of martial arts and begged him to teach him bravery. The master looked at him and said,
"I will teach you only on one condition, for three months, you will have to live in a big city and tell every person you encounter on your way that you are a coward. You're going to say it clearly, honestly, and look right in the eyes of every person you met”.
The person was very sad, because this was a really frightening job for him. He was very sad and compassionate for a few days, but living with his timid was so overwhelming that he moved to the city to fulfill his mission.
At first, when he encountered the passersby, he quailed, lost his voice, and was unable to contact anyone. But he needed to finish the master's job, so he started to conquer himself. When he came up to his first passerby to warn him about his cowardice, he appeared to have died in terror.
But with every passing day, his voice sounded louder and more secure. Suddenly, a moment came when the man found himself thinking that he was no longer afraid, and the more he went on to do the master's work, the more persuaded he was that he was abandoned by terror. That was the way a month had gone. The man came back to the lord, bowed to him, and said,
"Thank you, my master. I have completed your mission. I'm no longer scared now. But how did you know that this odd job is going to help me?
"The truth is, cowardice is only a reflex. And by doing things that scare us, we will break the myths and come to the conclusion that you have come to. And now you know that courage and bravery is a habit, too. And if you want to make a part of yourself brave, you need to go forward in fear. Then fear will go out, and courage will take its place”.

Reading in times of Revolution
Raymundo Mata’s story, a visually impaired member of an anti – Spanish revolutionary society in the Philippines in the 19th century, is a polyphonic whirlwind of voices and history. In telling Mata’s contested and fragmentary story, Apostol finds new ways to depict the violence of the Spanish colonial era, and to re-imagine the great writer, Jose Rizal, who is regarded by many as the father of Philippine independence and was executed by the Spanish for his revolutionary activities.
The relationship between reading and revolution in the past was really present, that is because Filipino were influenced by the works of the Filipino writers and to that extent every opinion of the Filipinos were written. For example, their want to have freedom and let themselves be free from the colonization.
Reading is vital because it helps our thoughts grow, gives us endless insights and lessons to learn while keeping our minds busy. Reading books will helps us to learn and understand, and make us more intelligent. It also expands our vocabulary and the thought skills we build.
Nurturing a nation of readers is important because it seeks to encourage the bonding of each family by reading and highlights the important role of the parents in the child’s reading growth, and helps to underline the importance of the reading process in supporting children’s development and creativity.

Safe House
For me, it shows how the little girl thinks about how her father’s reaction to the alleged crimes of the Marcos regime broken her family apart. It highlights her father’s level of partial thought used to analyze the political problem at that time.
The innocence of the little girl at that time protected her from all truths, such as why her mother left, the seemingly mysterious visitors in the night, and her father’s subsequent arrest and imprisonment. It gives an exact picture of the little girl’s lack of comprehension at that period. People who are presently in their 30’s and 40’s are very close in the tale to that little girl, they still have no idea what happened during the Marcos years are left with tales from both sides only.
It was a story that gave me a new insight and awareness of the Marcos era of martial law. To sum it up, this story gave me a new perspective about rebels and how they prowl at day and night. And for me, I would follow the footsteps of her father even if it means losing my own life.

My fellow Filipino
My heart aches for Jose “Pepe” Rizal, because he only wanted the best for the Philippines and for the Filipinos. We all know that he is remembered for his brilliance, courage, peaceful resistance to tyranny, and compassion. My respect for him is beyond words, and I could not even write a whole poem without praising and respecting him.
If you think about it, what in the world did he do wrong? Is it because he was a brilliant and a compassionate person? Was it because he was an author rather than just a soldier? Well, that is not an acceptable reason to just execute him.
For me, writing and reading is the most powerful weapon that you can use instead of an armor that is displayed in front people. And that is what Jose “Pepe” Rizal did, he consumed time to write about the Spanish Colonization and their wrong doings. He used his intellect, skills, and abilities in a way that was more respectful than hostile. He used his writings to open the eyes of the Filipinos. And he did not even wanted a bloody revolution in his time before. He used his love and compassion for the country to help Filipinos fight for their freedom at that time. I respect him not just a person but for a fellow Filipino who is given the chance of having my own freedom because of him.
