There is not enough coverage on the current situation and articles would point out that it is a political conflict between two generals and/or it is a civil war. But it is not a political conflict. It is not a civil war. It is a genocide over the past year. The RSF (Rapid Support Forces, a paramilitary backed by the UAE) and the SAF (Sudanese Armed Forces, the national military backed by Sudan's high council) are committing the most heinous crimes. Villages are under attack. A blockade is imposed. Famine is on the rise. Families are displaced. People, especially women and girls, are subjected to sexual slavery and violence.
