jfc I swear my life has never been this hectic before, but after this week it should settle down until classes start later this month, but even then I'm expecting to be here more. Thanks to everyone who's been awesome and patient with me, and how I keep getting a surge of followers, I will never understand. I'll be back hopefully around Friday/Sundayish and if not then I'll be here first thing Monday to bother everyone again!

Rin stared at the other for a long moment, the maturity that poured from his mouth was rather impressive. He appeared to be the same age as himself, which only made it more incredible, how could he have such thoughts within him? As he turned to start towards the exit, Rin shoved his hands into his pockets and grinned a bit, curious now about this boy. "I'll walk you down -- you know since I'm leaving too." And if there was anything to be known about Rin Matsuoka it was that he didn't take no for an answer.
The redhead stepped down a few steps to meet the pace of the other, casually glancing at the names written on the makers they began to pass. "So.. you have family here too then?" He asked as his crimson hues darted up to meet emeralds. Naturally he was curious, and felt a twinge of guilt that he believed his tantrum had interrupted this boy's time with the departed.

The swim team captain snorted quietly at the boy’s response, he didn’t seem to be the type to get jokes either. But Rin had to admire the sense of sportsmanship the other seemed to have, it seemed rare and pure. Even Rin himself had to admit that at times he was less than a respectful opponent, gloating victories and mocking the failures of others; he’d like to think he was better now, humbled by events that now left him in charge of the school’s team, as well as the boys’ confidences.
A distinctly cold shiver raced up his spine – why was it that the title still made him so uneasy? Captain Matsuoka, it sounded so formal – it drove him nuts. “Yeah—that’s me. It’s nice to meet you as well Kuroko-kun, heh, but Rin is just fine.” Ruby hues dropped to the boy’s face, a thin brow quickly rising at the sheer lack of emotion on Kuroko’s features. It was certainly strange, but then again with a mouth full of jagged fangs, who was he to comment on another’s abnormality?
The shark continued through the hallways, a tricky map he had to learn when he first came to the school a little over a year ago. They would reach the gymnasium soon enough. “So—how long have you played basketball?’
Kuroko followed the swimmer through the building, checking his watch seeing that he wouldn’t be too late, although no one probably would notice anyhow due to his lack of presence. Kuroko gave a nod, already having heard about Samezuka’s more known swimming team than basketball. “Going easy on them would be an insult to any athlete, as long as they do their best, we’ll do our best as well.”
He replied truthfully, throwing his now empty shake in a passing trash can. He noticed the shark like teeth of the red-haired swimmer and remembered hearing something about the swim team’s coach being referenced to as a shark. “You’re Captain Matsuoka, right? It’s nice to meet you, I’m Kuroko Tetsuya.” he politely introduced, his voice sounding normal but he expression blank as usual.

"Aa-- I guess a nut one wouldn't be too bad right?" At least nuts had protein, an excuse for the shark to continue eating the pastry even if it ended up being too sweet for his liking. The trip had been for Ai after all, but curiosity had gotten the better of him since the boy could not stop raving about the pastries and sweets from the establishment. The girl behind the counter seemed to be fairly entertaining as well, perhaps this would become a routine trip, presents for Ai -- bothering the girl and one day hopefully she'd make some savory flavored treats for 'normal people'.
This guy must really not go to bakeries often, considering his apparent attitude towards sweet things and treats. Sam rolled her eyes as he scoffed, fingers brushing her hair out of her eyes as she bent to open the glass case. She slipped the different baked goods in the paper bag, pausing in front of the muffins. “Any preference? Fruit, nut, chocolate? Or is this a serious surprise me?”

"That is none of your concern Nanase. Don't you have someone else to go bother? Makoto. perhaps?" It's your brother Arata, blame your brother.
"You had to use cover-up?" Blink, blink. Oh, he’s just curious now.
Pokes again. “Why?”

And of course she had made them all by herself, who was he to dishearten the young girl but refusing a homemade treat? He opened the bag carefully and took a nibble out of one of the cookies. And they were sweet, too sweet, just as all cookies seemed to be for the Shark, but he fought against the twist in his features that usually accompanied such treats. He would keep his cool for her. "They're really good, thank-you. I'll have to hide them from my roommate."
"I made them myself." She stated proudly. Sure she wasn’t a five star chef but cookies were her specialties after all that was her favorite treat. "So what’d you think? I’m not sure if you like cookies but I baked a batch and I thought I shared some."

"My dorm ..number? wait-- Nagisa are you at Samezuka?" The shark asked, not bothering to hide the panic in his voice. Rin quickly pushed back his chair from his desk and bolted towards the door, sticking his head out to glance down either side of the hallway. No sign of him yet at least, perhaps he had meant for future reference? Who knows what shenanigans the blonde was up to? Rin quickly stepped out of his room, clothed comfortably in a black tank top and pair of gray sweats. If the blonde was here, he'd need to find him before a member of the faculty did, damn these Iwatobi swimmers, constantly getting him in trouble now!
Nagisa grinned when he heard the shark’s voice on the other line. “Only always, Rin-chan.” Aside from study days with Rei where the bespectacled teen held a tight ship, and left Nagisa with no homework. Those were honestly one of Nagisa’s most dreaded days because no one has seen super-intense-studious Rei like he has. Maybe his family, too.
"Anyways! We should hang out more, and I’m bored. What’s your dorm number again?" It was pretty invasive, but invasive was Nagisa’s nature and it wasn’t really a surprise to anyone.

The words hit harder than Rin wanted to admit, the truth burned him like acid in his veins. Things weren't better, if anything they were worse now than before the two swam together in the relay and became friends once more. And the way Haru so easily brushed him off like that, he didn't blame him but damn if he was leaving here without the answers he wanted. It was selfish but Rin couldn't help himself, there was a hole wedged between the two, even standing here beside him now, Rin felt like he couldn't reach out for Haru if he tried. The hole was his own doing, he knew that, and he hated himself for it, it was always in the back of his mind, kicking himself for ruining something that was so.. wanted. And here he was in a fool's hope to get it back. "I'm not going anywhere." he said flatly, though his ruby toned irises held a fire that spoke otherwise. "I'm going to stay."
I don’t want to do this right now.
Had it been Makoto in front of him, there might have been a better chance that he wouldn’t have to say anything at all. After all, his childhood friend understood the meanings behind his silent nuances, acted upon things Haru didn’t say but meant all the same. But not Rin. Rin was different and it was bothersome to know that Haru would need to actually say something in order to make himself heard. “Sorry for what?” he asked instead of the question he really wanted the answer to: Why did you come back? Haru winced at the increased pressure on his wrist, the only change in his expression he was willing to show. “Things have already been better. You left. You always leave. I’m used to it. Now let go. I have practice.”
