He was glad he made it seem that way to Makoto. He knew of Makoto’s fears, even the most illogical ones, but he never said anything and just tried to support him silently at those times, trying to veer him away from those things that were deemed scary.

“I don’t really do anything.” But even though he says this, he’s glad Makoto feels that way.

    Hands joined, they wandered down the supermarket with a tacit comfortableness that should only belong in couples who had been together for years and years. In truth, this was only their sixth month together and today marked their half-year anniversary. Haruka allowed his hands to wander across the piles of fresh produce, trying to work out the menu for tonight’s dinner. He will go ahead and make both of their favorites tonight, he decided, and leave enough left overs to take to classes. 

    A young supermarket worker stopped them, offering tiny sliced portions of red bean pastries as samples. Haruka wasn’t feeling sweets today, but found it difficult to say no to her eager smile. So he took two, one for himself and one for Makoto. “Here,” he quickly swallowed his own portion and offered the other to his companion’s lips. Only Makoto wasn’t taking notice of the pastry. He seemed distracted. In fact, he’d been in this state for the past few days now. 

    “...” Haru’s mind drifted back to the phone conversation he had with Nagisa over this. The blond had offered him a whole list of reasons why Makoto might be acting off lately but none of them seemed right. For one thing, Makoto was definitely not gravely ill nor was there a sexy new professor putting the moves on him. Haruka supposed he should just ask straight out, but he...Had never been good at confrontational sort of conversations. Besides, things weren’t going bad right now. Look at them, blending perfectly fine into the supermarket filled with other shopping couples. Ordinary, just as grandmother said they would be at twenty. 

    “Makoto?” He called out quietly, discarding the uneaten pastry piece into the garbage can. “Do you just want to go home?”

{ ❥ } – "N-no, it's fine, really..." Would it be possible to ask Makoto to just forget he'd ever asked? Right now the burning in Akura's cheeks seemed more hazardous to Akura's health than taking a bath on his own... Was it possible to die of embarrassment? It sure felt like it at least, and with another quiet mumble, he ducked his head lower – and away from Makoto's gaze.

     "I'll be fine," he said at last, hoping to at least reassure the other a little – and get him to back off, so Akura could go die in a hole in peace, thank you very much.

"I want to." Makoto said stubbornly, knowing that Akura probably just didn’t want to cause him any trouble by asking for help. But once he’d agreed to something, the brunette did his best to follow through until the end. Besides, it wouldn’t be that bad.. Right? After all, they were both guys so it wasn’t as if he hadn’t seen it all before.

"I can’t let you hurt yourself more than you already have." Especially since Haru would kill them both if he did. "Now.. Do you need help getting undressed?"

“Are you already sleepy?”

Haruka was wrapped up in the blanket, holding a fluffy orca stuffed animal. As usual, Haruka had barrowed Makoto's shirt to wear as pajamas.

Shaking his head slightly at Makoto's question, Haru glanced up towards his friend. "Can you get me a glass of water?"

{ ❥ } – "Yes, Mako-chan?" Cue an innocent expression from the shorter male – no, no, he had no idea what he'd done, of course, he was just returning the favor after all – but that lasted about as long as Akura's initial shock over the whole innocent. And then Akura was doubling over again, arms wrapped around his sides as he laughed.

     "You – you – " Breathy words, choked out between laughs, but he did his best to go on – "You slapped – " Ah, Akura would never get over this! He'd be laughing for days on end, at least. Well, laughter was good for his health, right?

                   { Although maybe it wasn't so 'good' for Makoto that                                      Akura would never let him live this down. }

The sudden eruption of laughter from the smaller male had Makoto’s cheeks burning, his shame growing stronger as well. He knew that Akura wasn’t exactly strict, not like his brother, but still.. Smacking someone’s rear end wasn’t really the polite thing to do, was it?

But then, that apparently didn’t matter— after all, the raven smacked his in return moments later, stunning the brunette rather effectively. Not that that was a difficult thing to do of course. 

"A-Akura-chan….!"

Opinion on;

Character in general: I love Makoto so so much. I just…I love Makoto so much. Sometimes I almost feel like Haru doesn’t deserve Makoto because the poor orca gives him so much and he doesn’t give enough in return. If I had a Makoto I would give him EVERYTHING.How they play them: This is one of the only Makotos who successfully made my stone hard heart break a little. The Mun: Amanda’s Makoto breaks my heart. ; v ; I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOUUU.

What is my;

Overall Opinion: FOLLOW RIGHT NOW IF YOU ARE NOT. This Makoto is really good. Amanda’s Makoto is not just plainly nice and has bits of…STUFF that makes him special. Probably my second favorite Makoto right now in the fandom and I’ve been in this fandom for a long time.
