So fun fact, the last couple months, I’ve been going through the Daisy/Sousa tag on ao3, rereading all the best Dousy fics before going to sleep, and out of the over 1000 fics and 54 (wow) pages of Dousy fics, more than half of them were posted within the first 6 months after the show ended, and roughly a quarter of the fics were written a month after the show’s end.

So that just tells me that as a fandom we all collectively saw Daisy sitting in Daniel’s office, went “you know what? Hell yeah,” and ran with it. We were really pumping those Dousy fics out left and right haha😅

AOS, and some in the fandom, were really harping on the idea of Fitz having to remove the inhibitor forcefully from Daisy's neck as being the "only" choice is so...laughable (sarcasm). Like, what do you mean? You have one of the smartest minds on the planet, who is an engineer, and you mean to tell me that they couldn't have created another remote thing that they had in the future to turn on and off Daisy's powers again? Like that was too hard for Fitz to do, especially given that even if he didn't see the device Deke, who lived his whole life in that world, wouldn't know a thing or two about it? Even if they couldn't recreate the remote why couldn't Fitz just, and hear me out, ask Daisy if she would be willing to consent to getting the inhibitor removed in a safe manner? Daisy is often very level headed during life and death situations, especially when it involves her friends, so why would it be assumed that she wouldn't have been open to it? It would have allowed for individuals with actual qualifications (eg. Simmons who's more verse in that field even though the show tried to take that away), minimizing the already high risk present such as paralysis and death. But no, all these things were too unreasonable sans the views of AOS and some in fandom apparently.
