I feel like some people need to relearn Genre Expectations... "Man, this tragedy sucks!!! Why didn't they just do XYZ, then everything could have ended happily!!" well, then it wouldn't be a tragedy, would it. "Man, this lighthearted teen romcom is terrible, it's so sappy and unrealistic!!" Well, yeah. If it had been gritty and dark, it wouldn't have been a lighthearted romcom, would it. #working with kids is so interesting#like so many of them have so many behavioral issues that their parents (and even teachers!) refuse to acknowledge or fix#i can understand teachers being afraid to overstep and deal with angry parents but COME ON someone needs to do something#also these kids have no supervision online. i have 2nd graders saying hawk tuah constantly#i am very very worried for these kids#my homeschool kids excel academically and behaviorally.. they're so well behaved! BUT!!!! Their social skills are in the can sometimes#i dont know how this degradation happened so fast.. i feel like blaming it entirely on covid is a copout#alas. i will keep trying to teach as best i can
