They are a friend of mine. Please help if you are able.
Hi there,
My name is Vic. I recently went into the hospital due to a stroke. I know. I know… weird right. I had Covid-19 and pneumonia. I ended up developing enflamed blood cells and my carotid artery was dissected (ripped). I then developed a blood clot that went to my brain. I unfortunately don’t have the money to even pay for my bills. I reached 16k in debt and I need help. Anything will help. Please.

I know this is a bit extra.. But it was too late for me turn back.
This is by no means 100% accurate since some of the older fans may have already left the fandom and few of the LI(s) have the same amount of votes with each other etc. so this was just made for fun. Thank you to everyone who voted back then! ✨

Not to be morbid, but in the US, it is cheaper to be dead than it is to have an operation or be afflicted with a chronic illness. The average cost of a funeral is $9,000-$12,000 (USD). And, if you have life insurance, it will cover the cost of the funeral.
And, can we talk about what FMLA actually is? It is only “unpaid job protection” for 12 weeks, provided that you worked for a company for a year. Before it kicks in, you must use all of your PTO (vacation/annual leave/sick time). That’s right, we get no “sick days”. Everything is rolled into PTO (paid time off). This is really sad, when you consider that other countries give “stress leave”. No such thing in the US. And forget having one year off for the birth of a child. The most you get in the US is 12 weeks + the number of weeks you have banked for PTO. And you only get paid for the two weeks you have of PTO. This system really needs re-prioritization, when work comes first and healthcare is jeopardized. In the US, they want you to work no matter what. And, they expect you to pay dearly for being sick or having a child.
Wait youre telling me in the usa if youre sick you cant just show up to a hospital, get checked, sent home and get your day paid by the social security or sometimws your job?

And yet another example of how the “American Education System” is failing. Keep in mind, that I am an American, with a teaching degree, who is only fluent in ONE language, due to our lazy education system. Warning: this is going to be a rant on lazy, Americans.
My bet is, that none of these tweets are from people in Europe. In Europe, most children learn a minimum of three languages from the start of their education. Why? Because it is a critical skill for getting along with others. It builds respect for other cultures. It helps to instill compassion and consideration. Oh, that’s right, in Europe, they learn multiple languages to be respectful of visitors as well. What do we have here in the US? Signs that say “all orders must be in English”. It’s rude and disrespectful to someone visiting (or living in) our country.
It’s also embarrassing to see people taking offense to the name of a color of a crayon. Then again, this also demonstrates a different problem with the “everything is offensive generation”. That problem being: Intolerance. We need to get out of the “It’s all about my feelings and how you have wounded me” mindset. History note: Crayola has been placing the name of crayons in multiple languages for DECADES! These tweets only show how ignorant, intolerant, and myopic some people have become. Crayola has made great strides to be diverse and show consideration for other cultures. It’s a sad day, when a US based company must educate adults about the importance of diversity and become a Spanish-English dictionary . The nerve of some of these people to say that they should only have the color in the English language.
Really people! Instead of complaining that you are morally outraged (seems to be the word of the year) by a word in a different language, “Google it”, ask Siri, ask Alexa! Its not acceptable to use half a brain before you slam someone on the internet. Use technology to get your answer (HELLO - there is a thing called “Google Translate”) - we know you are versed in this skill, even if you have no clue on how to be considerate to others. 🙄
******** rant over **********

Nostalgia @loveinthekeyofx
Sometimes I think about lesbian icon renée vivien lauging so hard she had to leave a lecture bc the man was talking about how a book of anonymously published love poetry was the pinnacle depiction of a young man’s desire towards women…… but it was her book. She wrote it. About her girlfriend.

And from behind the mirror, walks out your date for the evening. Meet, Mary Tudor. As a staunch Catholic, she holds no tolerance for those who do not share her faith. She is often known to frequent bouts of madness, followed up by extreme fits of tantrum, when not getting her way. Her hobbies include: burning Protestants at the stake, faking pregnancy, and imprisoning relatives, non-Catholics, and usurpers in the Tower of London.
Mary Tudor (Prado, Marquess of Northampton), age 37. Portrait by Antonis Mor (c. 1554).

me after chanting bloody mary in the bathroom mirror 3 times: before you kill me i just thought you'd like to know that they named a drink after you
bloody mary, fingers inches away from my throat: what?
me: i'd be happy to take you to a bar to try one. if you'd be interested.
