I don't know if you ever saw theory (I call it a theory cause I don't know if it was a scientific research or not) that you became the adult that would helped you when you were a child.
And I think that Dick and Jason are the walking proof of that.
• Jason became someone strong, who can't be dismissed easily and who can (and will) do anything if he need to protect someone.
Like, his priority when he came to Gotham was keep kids of Crime Alley safe from the drugs and mobs.
He definitely would keep his little self in safe place, buy him books and made sure that he graduated not only school but college too.
I think he'll be soft with the child and read with him books in silence, just to be near and provide safety.
• Richard is bright, energetic and protective. He became a great leader and a good brother.
When he was taken by Bruce, Grayson was a ball of grief and pent-up anger. And I think that this is one of the things that helped him understand Dami more.
If he would be the one to take care of little him, he'll make him talk. Maybe made him spar to get that energy out.
And he definitely will provide him a lot of hugs and touches to ease the touch deprivation.
That poor chandelier in manor definitely will be doomed.

I talk mostly abt Dick, Jay, Timmy and Dami, but I know that batfam is larger than that. And you know what? I am not that parent that says "I don't have favourites" cause I definitely have. Sue me. And here is my another thought about them.
I like to see Richard as ray of sunshine, but I know that he have great anger issues. Of course he is not the strongest, he is mostly a good martial artist for the streets. But you know what?
"I still don't know answer..."
His anger bubbles inside, tunnel vision focused on vital parts of body infront of him.
He have several broken ribs and blood in his nose that interfere with his breath, making raged puffs of air come from open lips with spit and claret.
"...what man is scarier..."
Blue on his suit is tainted with gore from enemy and his own bloodied knuckles.
There are scratches all over his body, but that doesn't mean anything because he is not done.
"...the one that doesn't have anything to lose..."
"Nightwing, stop!" small hands phantomly grips at his shoulders, trying to pull him from his pray.
Maniac laughter is louder than anything, red filled his sight, but maybe it was just his focus on the bloody pulp that man beneath him was now.
"...or the one that have too mush to lose except himself?"
"He's down! Stop!" familiar voice came through while his forearm was catch by real hands know.
His breath was rapid and shallow, he stopped only because this voice was real.
Gaze drifting from the mess of the thing that has human form just a couple of minutes ago, catching the face of Tim.
Alive. Yeah, a bit scratched and bruised, but alive.
Dick just pulled him closer, looking in disbelief. Anger melting away while man studied eyes of his little brother.
"Thank god you're here..." softly says man, smiling with his bloodied lips. He doesn't care about anything right know.
He's mission is keeping them safe after his failure with Jason. And if he failed, then he'll just avenge them.

Also I think that he creates many maps by himself and is popular in that field as well.
Cause "THEY'RE NOT IN TUNE. JUST...LET ME DO IT MYSELF".
And he is good. Really good.
AND he creates maps for songs that noone done before ("WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NOT ANY SONG FROM HIM???")
My hc is that Tim plays «OSU!».
And says that it's for better concentration, when in reality it's just helps him to relax his brain while listening to favourite songs.
He definitely frighteningly good at this.

I saw in some fics that Richard saw hallucinations of Jason (at the time that boy was dead) and I always just knew that that was true, but I can't remember where or when I saw that.
And I knew that hallucination of Wally Dick saw in the Young Justice. So I thought that this was just hc from that thing.
But then I scrolled through my gallery, to view some screenshots that I took when I was reading Nightwing comics.
AND I FOUND IT, GUYS!!! HE REALLY SAW HIM. AND I REMEMBER HOW IT BREAK MY HEART.

If Grayson was the healer-surgeon at the hospital, than Damian will be his necromancer (just in case).

I noticed that Richard divides his identities by naming them.
And I'm not talking about just Nightwing or Robin (like... everyone in DC does it with their hero/vigilante identity)
I'm talking about names
• Dick - just our sweet boy with a reckless demeanor of a little shit when he feels comfortable with another person. Mostly he is just good big brother, positive and just ray of sunshine (you can fight me on that but I won't budge he is my precious baby boy)
• Richie - sometimes he uses this persona when on galas or something like that. It's his most known public demeanor. Like Brucie Wayne.
• Richard - his past self. In one comic we can see how he says that his mother used to call him that and only that (except Robin, yeah). But I think that not many people nowadays call him that and when one does - he becomes tense, still brightly smiling but now with more caution.
• Ric - it's the most gloomy side of him. Because this identity was created after he received fucking bullet at his scull. So yeah. Amnesia, memory gaps in daily life and overall stress doesn't help with all his "being the positive one".
I just want to say how awesome it is. Cause this small details are cool.
Also, I think that this is also one of the main reasons why Dick was so mad about that time when his mantle was given to Jason. This kid took colours of his family, his place and, the most important, he took his name.

You know what the funny part? Is that all I wanted to just search some comics about Nightwing and know who was that guy. That's all.
Now I have games, comics, fanfics and this blog (I don't even want to think that I started roleplaying as Richard in one chat).
I think this thing just consumed my life and soul and any other vital aspects of my existence.
Not that I complaining. Just some thoughts.

Sometimes I forgot that Bats are vigilantes. Like... when Batman was just him (and some time when he was with Robin) noone called him a hero.
He was vigilante.
And sometimes when I think about him and his children I forgot that they are not "heros" in common sense.
I think that Roy didn't have problem with methods of Hood or Nightwing or anyone of them cause he was trained by Green Arrow, who was vigilante himself.
But what about Young Justice (except Artemis ofc) or Titans? Most of them was raised by heroes.
And I know that there is just thin line between this things, but I think that sometimes it can cause some problems.
Like...
Tim: I get the intel.
Kon: How? I'm sure that they weren't so warm to us to just tell.
Tim: I just showed them information about their loved ones and said that Nightwing will gladly help me bring them here to watch how the interrogation will go.
Dick, on the background: I wouldn't do that! It'll be easier to just beat him. You know how.
Kon:
Tim:
Tim: Well, yeah, I didn't think about that. Was not in the mood for tonight.
Kon: For tonight???

He stands up again. His blood run in thin line down his chin, but Renegade just roughly wipes it up with his arm.
His gase absent and yet determined when he returns into fighting stance.
«Good» rumble low Deathstroke. He admire his work, how boy became more obedient, how his stubbornes disappeared from months of training. Slade almost feel proud of himself.
«You're free for now» almost generously says the man and Robin Renegade bows deep before he start limping away.
Oh, Wilson almost forgot about that broken leg of his. Maybe he was a bit too rough on this child?
«One more step in this way and you can start crawl. We talked about it.» his cold voice almost echoes through the room and in corner of his eye Deathstroke sees how boy freezes. And then starts to walk properly, without any trace of his weakness anymore. Just like he has to.
But...his shoulders tense just for a moment and Wilson feels how triumph smile spreads on his lips.
«Stop» with heavy sight, man turn to the boy, holding training staff «I told you»
Simply explain himself before sharp hit meets with boys knee. Man clicks his tongue when Renegade dropped on the floor with quite whine.
«You need more training. That's start to annoy, you know?» woth boredom in his voice, teen receive another hit, now in his temple and fly a few feet away.
«You can be profitable. If you try harder. Would you?»
«Yes, sir» quiet answer, almost broken with a sob. Slade smiles tender.
«That's my apprentice» and new blow crashed down at small spine of Renegade.

Everyone knows that Bats doesn't joke around when it comes to his job. Trainings go also here.
And noone knows this better that his kids. They can be family, can eat together and play silly pranks on eachother. But when they got to the mats there will be no mercy.
There will be blood, broken bones and deadly weapons. Hours of nothing more than sparring with eachother.
But after...there will be like nothing happend.
Wally, after sparring with Dick: Oh, man, that was rough...
Dick, not even break a sweat: What?
Wally: You just rolled me over this mats! That was insane!
Dick, surprised: I still don't follow... Like, it was nothing.
And then West was invited to watch Nightwing spar with Batman (cause «Man, you gotta be joking!»).
After what he saw he literally hugged Grayson for about an hour and Richard still didn't see anything strange.
Like...it really helping them all survive in combats with literal gods. Dick won't complain after what he's been through and came out alive.

Music help us express emotions. Live through them and after that - release so thay don't come back to haunt us down.
I like hc about Jason listening to pop music or something soothing and silly. And I think that he can do this. Just to feel something nice and warm at least through speakers.
But...I also think about ALL that rage inside him. Because he can kill, can be brutal, but that will never be enough.
And he feel it the most after therapy, after his bullets was switched to rubber.
So when he alone, when he practice, when some lowlife begs for his mercy at his foots.
He always hums same motive. There is no pop music in his head or speakers, no more love, happiness and peace.
Because if he can't kill, then he at least can imagine it while his finger finally press on trigger and his bullet doesn't do anything lethal.
«Yeah, if you don't kill me
I'm going to have to kill you»

Bruce: You went there with nothing.
Dick: That's is not true. I have faith in god with me.

Dick:
Bruce: You're grounded.
Dick: THAT'S NOT FAIR-
