While the vampire couldn't relate to his little daughter's excitement to see the red and white lights, he decided that he would let her explore the environment as she wished. It was a little pointless, in his opinion, for her to try and reach for the lights, as it was clear her little arms wouldn't reach far.. Regardless, he kept quiet, remembering that she was just a toddler and didn't know better.

"Perhaps we could try the tree, so as long as you don't break anything."

Gently bringing both Dez and their baby to see the giant tree the mall had set up inside from up close, Reiji couldn't help but notice the baby was reaching for the baubles. Instead of scolding her, he allowed her to play with the ornaments, until an employee came over to stop them. When they did, Reiji shot them a glance that could kill a man, and they promptly walked away.

"Why would they hang colorful decorations on the tree if they didn't want children to play with them? It makes no sense..."

He doesn't celebrate Christmas but he will take both Dez and their daughter to see the lights on the town. No pictures with Santa though, no other men gets close to his girls!

Dez genuinely appreciated this with her entire heart. She knew Reiji didn't celebrate Christmas, and not only that hated going out and leaving his office, but he was willing to do this for his family. She was in awe as they walked and saw the lights, looking around with wide eyes. "It's so beautiful here!" She exclaimed with joy. Their daughter clearly liked it was she was trying to reach for the lights in the stroller, making happy and delighted sounds. She was still quite young but was clearly starting to get some parts of her mother's animated personality. She turned and smiled at Reiji and rubbed his arm affectionately before returning it to the stroller. "I really appreciate this.. thank you, Reiji." She also agreed to not allow their daughter on Santa's lap. She had dealt with terrible adults as a child, she'd do anything to protect her. She didn't trust a mall santa anyway. And the lights were beautiful. And.. her daughter would have presents in the morning, and her husband might have a small handful as well. She did, after all, celebrate Christmas and she wanted to spoil the man who made her have the most wonderful and happiest of lives.

While it wasn't a major injury, the vampire had to admit that something seemed off with his body today. Being that he did drink blood, it wasn't unusual for Reiji to cough up blood whenever he was sick, but this time it was his own blood he was coughing up.. Did he perhaps switch up his potions and end up drinking something he shouldn't have? That was a possibility..

Shu really wasn't much of a superficial charmer, especially when he had no interest in the situation he was stuck in.

Since the girl had been in their home, she created nothing but trouble and annoying background noise, which he was starting to get tired of. He should have let Ayato get rid of her, but then Reiji would get pissy at all of them.. There was no way he could ever win in this situation, it seemed...

It's a known fact that Reiji loves to read, but, in the past, he never quite had anyone to silently keep him company during those moments. His brothers were far too loud and he wouldn't be caught dead asking Shuu to keep him company.

However, now he had found someone who also appreciated books and liked being by his side, even if they weren't directly interacting. It was such a wholesome and important thing for him to have in a relationship, even if he didn't outright say it. He expressed it in his own way.

"No, I can't say I was." She spoke as she sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She shouldn't be surprised, she knew how the Sakamaki got when they were bored.
