Aren't plushies beautiful? They were created so a sick child had something to hold. They were created so an adult living alone might have a friend to keep them company. They were created for a teenager to clutch to her chest as she cries. They were created to accompany a college student to his geology classes. They were created not for any material benefit, they don't change tires, but to be loved.
They were created for the purpose of love.

One scene remaining to program for Roger's route and then, all I have to do is retrofit some of the earlier scenes with the finished VA assets and playtest the hell out of it!
Progress has been really great as of late, but this is finally truly beginning to feel truly real! This route has been a real labour of love both for me and ofc, Nathan, Roger's VA and the artists who contributed art!

since the dialtown logo with the two phones making a heart shows up around town sometimes, is it diagetic? does it have any particular in-universe meaning?
really neat question right here.
The out of universe answer to why I initially placed it around town was that I thought it'd be a cute easter egg to have the game's logo appear across the game. While Dialtown does have a lot of deliberately placed stuff that connects to unused/future ideas or other things in-game, there are quite a few smaller design/narrative choices that started out as being placed kinda haphazardly that by the end of the development, took on completely different meanings in my mind due to the addition of other in-universe stuff. The logo is an example of this (though I can't remember when its context changed in my head exactly.)
Before I explain what I think it means, I should note for completion's sake that early in development, I was actually heavily considering using the logo as the symbol on the town's flag and there's even a few old placeholder assets with it used (warning, it's obviously inferior to the actual design and this EXACT rendition was just a placeholder used as Town Hall was being modeled! And yes, that was the scrapped town motto.)
The designer of the main logo had quite a few different ideas for what the town flag could be and we decided to go in a different direction, ofc, disconnecting its usage from that idea.
But to answer the question with an in-universe answer: it is diegetic. It is something that physically exists in-universe, akin to the kilroy graffiti in WWII.
It is MOSTLY graffiti'd, after all, usually in somewhat unpleasant places, like alleys, scary art galleries and the like. So, I began seeing it as a sort of comforting symbol, one of hope. I think, like a lot of symbols, it'd probably be hard for someone in-universe to sum it up succinctly but my best approximation is that it's like a reminder of humanity. A reminder that no matter how much chaos unfolds around you, or how hopeless true change seems - that every person who sees the symbol is still a human, despite everything. Someone capable of loving, being loved. That every day you're alive may be one where things get better.
